Van was 30 minutes late and one of the employees was literally smoking a cigarette in the van while the previous customer was dropping it off.Amy C.
I was quoted 1 rate and then told at the end of contract that rate did not exist . Then on checking in uhaul online said I had an accident when upon there inspection there was no damage to vehicle and I didn't have any accident. It was cleared up eventually but this is not acceptable. I am thinking what would I have done if I listened to the agent on duty and left the vehicle without having it checked in while I was present.PETER K.

My key was not available when i showed up to the site to check out the car. It took me an hour on the phone with uhaul ( after the hung the phone up on me) and still did not get anything done. The manager of the property that left when i arrived showed up later asking what we was doing. and ended up going inside and getting the key for us. i was almost late to get my things out of storage and i was late on my travel to Jacksonville.Ronash D.

The representative was very customer friendly. This experience is why I would go back to Uhual. When I place order for a truck online and arrived at the first location. The store was closed yet I have a reserved truck. Hours later a representative called me about truck and found me this location and truck. The representative calling be A+++.Michael B.
I laugh the whole time I was there, the owner gave me great customer service and the whole experience was like none other. Even with the computer moving slow he made it enjoyable to wait. Thank you sir and I say sir because I don't remember his name but I do remember his voice and how you gave great customer service. Only if every interaction I would have in other places was be like this, I would be in heaven. If I was able to bottle him up and pour him in everybody's Kool-Aid to drink I would and the world would be a better place.Tyrone B.

We returned out equipment at 8:30am but the equipment was not checked in until 1:27pm which added a 1 day charge to our rental. I called the store location and the gentleman that answered the phone was extremely rude. He cut me off mid sentence and said he could not do anything about my contract with uhaul and that I needed to call them. When I tried to explain that it was an issue with the time the rental was checked in he said "what don't you understand?!" and then hangs up on me. He was extremely rude. I called u-haul and they did in fact confirm that this was an error on the store side and it was checked in late by the employee and a refund is being issued. I have worked customer service for many years and that man should never be allowed to answer that phone ever again.Nancy W.

The location itself wasn't clean. The staff didn't appear to have knowledge of the computer system. They also couldn't figure out how to attach the break lights from the trailer to my car, so after a few minutes of trying said â€œI can't figure out the lights so just go up the street to the other uhaulâ€. Then when I speak with the â€œotherâ€ uhaul, they tell me that they can't help me and that I need to call roadside assistance. I needed to get my stuff loaded up and on the road and this extended my trip by hours. I felt really insulted and unimportant after paying good money for a service that I'm the past has been great. I was and am extremely unhappy.Sydney R.
The confirmation email I received upon completing my reservation provided a different pick-up location. Upon arrival at the Memorial Dr. location the Uhal rental was closed even tho it was past the specified opening time of 8am. Also, the location didn't have any trucks. I ended up calling Customer Service and a representative send me to the Candler location. The Candler location didn't have the 17' truck I reserved, instead the only truck they had was a 26'. I ended up completing the move, but the process of getting to the correct location and picking up a different than ordered truck was frustrating.Miroslav M.

My reservation was for 8:00 am, at another location. They didn't open until 9 and then claimed that my reservation wasn't there even though I had a email stating the opposite. No one answered the phone at customer service. Terrible! I will avoid using uhaul in future.Richard L.
Not all of the reps were courteous. The guy who actually gave me the keys was great (sorry I can't recall his name). Also, one of your reps at the 1-800 number was semi rude (impatient) when I didn't understand something. Per my contract #27419028 the truck was due on 06/28/17 in which I dropped off before they open. I was charged an extra day because they didn't check my truck in until 06/29/17. I'm requesting a refund of $57.78.Percy B.
This location checked in my wrong trailer without telling me anything went wrong. Seems like they would have noticed and told me. I found out when U Haul sent me an email saying my trailer was overdue.Joe L.
I dropped the trailer at 8PM on Friday, after hours. Even though After Dark Exhaust is open on Sat, by Monday AM they had not closed out the rental. I had two text sessions with U-Haul on Monday, multiple phone calls to After Dark (most of which went to voicemail) and eventually was told by U-Haul chat that I had to call the U-Haul regional rep (Doug in Louisville KY) who promised to keep calling After Dark until they answered the phone, to get the rental closed out. Not good. After Dark clearly isn't capable of handling this extra work. Thumbs up for Doug, neutral to negative on U-Haul chat, and two thumbs down for After Dark Exhaust.Alexander M.
Office was very messy and dingy and the printer wasn't working. There was no one in the garage or the office when I arrived. I waited 5mins then I had to call the owners cell to get someone to come out. I've used uhaul before so I assume that's why they didn't explain any of the process to me. No one went out to examine the truck with me to make sure that everything looked alright. No one at this location was rude to me but the customer service didn't remind me of what Im used to seeing at uhaul locations.TAYLOR T.

Very nice employee, but pick up process was very slow. Could be improved by having already loaded the truck with dolly and pads and pre-positioned it to be ready to go. The equipment had not been received into the system which forced us to go through the process again after that was corrected. Technical problems with the printer took 5-10 minutes to resolve.Ritch B.

When I tried to call that location the gentleman that handled uhaul was too busy to help me and my truck was not checked in and I wanted to know what my charges were therefor I called 1800 uhaul and......... anyway no I would not recommend that locationclara D.

First of all after making my reservation online, I was sent to two different places. the first one did not have the truck that I needed and the second place was closed even thought I was there around 1pm. their schedule was 9am to 2pm. when I finally got the truck at the third place, it was dirty and the power steering had a problem. the truck was going in all directions. I hope they fix it before renting it to someone else because I don't think it's safe.Moussa T.

The final price for the tow dolly come to 95 dollars after the cost of the dolly, a fee, and taxes. The guy at After Dark Exhaust charged my card for 105 dollars. The guy is obviously a thief and I will probably never use uhaul again.Derrick C.

Although the person who processed my order was polite and helpful I was accommodated eventually, the truck I reserved wasn't there and one of the dollies I reserved wasn't at this location. Both of these situations caused me to be delayed and inconvenienced. At the second location, 2505 Candler Rd, Decatur, GA, Quincey helped me get the appliance dolly I requested and refunded the cost to compensate me for the inconvenience. What U-Haul can do to improve service is better ensure that satellite locations are able to get what customers have requested and reserved.Tamara S.

The location wasn't open when I got there. My reservation was almost not honored until I had to call U-Haul myself and have them take care of it. I was overcharged because they put in the system that I got twice as many dollies and an extra 6 pads that I didn't get or even use.Jonathan K.

The dealer was an hour late. I reserved the truck for 8 am, and he didn't arrive until 8:52. There was no apology offered. He mumbled, "I didn't expect anyone to be here." That is surprising since I reserved the truck at 8am. I reserved an appliance hand truck, and there was not one available. Luckily, they had a normal dolly. He was surpised that was in the truck. Thank goodness it was, because my move would have been terrible. I was charged $48 for an 1/8th of a tank. $18 for fuel and $30 for filling it. I understand I didn't fill the tank, but I went 7 miles in it and to be charged $48 plus mileage just rubs the wrong way. Highly exorbitant charge in my opinion, especially considering the rest of the service.Gregory H.
