I had a good experience with the gentleman when I picked up the truck and the same for the lady that helped me when returning to the truck. I really had an issue because I had to pick and take bedroom and living room furniture and had NO RAMP at all so we had to pick everything up and it was very hard!!!Danette L.

This location was acceptable. The overall U-Haul experience was very disappointing. My initial contact was to be in Columbia, PA and was switched to Millersville, PA which I found this out via email. This was an issue because Columbia was closer to my plans for the day. When we arrived at the Millersville location there was no representative present as promised. After much discussion with an online customer service person, who was outstanding (her name was Taj) we were directed to go to an even further location from our destination resulting in higher cost. Again the Lancaster location was adequate but the overall U-Haul experience was very unacceptable.JAMES J.

We were not aware if the button that needed pushed when the truck was loaded. Perhaps a better" how to" guide. But all else was perfect. The woman who gave us the keys and paperwork was professional and explained everything we needed to be aware of. Helpful that it was at a gas station to fill up!April N.

The sign in process took up 30 minutes of my 2 hr rental, which was due to the process and nit within my control yet I was charged for a full 2 hours when I had approximately an hour and a half. Whomever is in charge of this process should reimburse me for time lost.Gail S.

The people there are very rude and I was supposed to get a discount because my truck was not at the right place for me to pick it up so I had to go there and I was overcharged for the rental on the truck and I tried to contact them and nobody would answer the phone and you could not leave a voicemail because the box was full I would never rent from them againron S.

U Hauls communication to its customer is sorely lacking. I placed an order on Monday for a weekend local move. I had movers hired and ready to go. When I went to my pick up locatiin I was told that U Haul ( Harrisburg) moved my pick up point another 20 minutes away. This cost me time and money. When I asked why this was done the original renter said because they did not do one way rental. I informed this individual that 1. It is not a one way rental as I was moving my goods to storage as I close on my house 2. That UHaul.com only gave me drop off points that were in the surrounding cities and towns. I thought it was odd that I had to drop off 30 minutes away from where I rented . As I dont know the business model I accepted the directive. He informed me that the website often screws up orders and that I should make a complaint. To top it off when I returned the truck after a whopping 32 miles of use and only in my control I was accussed of hitting something "red". Only after I threatened affadavits from all parties who were with me or witnessed all movements of said truck did they relent. I did even pay the extra 30% of my total for safe move. If I had hit or conversely soneone hit me I would have called UHaul Inc. I genuinely felt like this was a shakedown by your franchisee. I would only recommend for its convenient location. Truck was dirty inside. Small toy, dirty sock, and small trash left inside. Clearly not swept out. Service was slow at pick up but not at drop off. Rented moving blankets but didn't have them. Were not charged for them, but that's not the point. We needed them, expected to have them, and then weren't told until that morning that not available. Sloppy and unmotivated location. Every other UHaul I have ever rented has been top notch. Not this one.Keith B.

The owner or manager or whoever she is had no idea what was going on the truck was dirty and never cleaned from the previous user. When I asked about blankets that I paid for she was clueless like she didn't even know it was an option. Renting a U-haul was very easy. The process through the phone took no time at all and wasn't very abrasive. I really can't think of too much to improve. I will say I was worried about what I would be doing the day of, as I have not rented one before but it all went smoothly.Cody B.

It was the worst experience I have ever ever had it was problems after problems 1 the movers we hired to help us move we never heard from and never saw the completed ghosted us after paying a good amount for and when we call to ask what's going on we were told pretty much they are super reliable and probably didn't have anyone (but didn't tell us) so my boyfriend and I had to get everything ourselves and move heavy stuff olio three floors ! And couldn't even complete the move and on top of that we were supposed to get 3 dollies only got one small one and asked for 6 moving blankets only got 1! Udder BS and to top it off Customer service was so unhelpful and not willing to try to work stuff out to accommodate is for the stress and crap we endure yesterday we are extremely upset and hope someone can resolve this !Josalyn K.

I was charged for dolly rental x2 that were not in the truck. I informed the clerk and he couldn't get those charges reversed. I would like to receive a credit for these charges. Also the app was slow to upload and the final photo of dashboard didn't upload at all.Daniel K.

I stopped one day last week the day before Thanksgiving. There were four trucks in the lot and I was a bit surprised none were available. I found that strange. The person the was working the day of the rental was great. Nothing but high marks.thom P.
The lady that worked there and helped me was very nice and my negative feedback had nothing to do with her. However, the truck was very dirty and had obviously not been cleaned out or inspected by anyone prior to me picking it up. I also had my reservations changed by U-haul to a place about 30 miles from where I had selected to pick up my truck.Christopher H.

Tuve una experiencia extremadamente desagradable, me acerco al mostrador y la seÃ±ora a estaba trabajando ( rubia de pelo largo) me dice q no tiene vehÃculo para rentar hasta el martes 3 de septiembre! Ok le respondo ( todo en inglÃ©s) y me salgo al parqueo, para mi sorpresa desde el mismo parqueo hago la reservaciÃ³n del vehÃculo que estaba en el parking!!! Porque estÃ¡ Sr. No querÃa tentarme el vehÃculo, serÃ¡ porque somos hispanos y hablamos inglÃ©s pero con acento, al entrar y enseÃ±arle mi nÃºmero de reserva de confirmaciÃ³n no tuvo nada mÃ¡s q hacer y bajar su mirada he evitarme y no dirigirme la palabra. SaliÃ³ y tomÃ³ unas fotos del vehÃculo ( segÃºn corresponde) y le dio toda la documentaciÃ³n a otro SeÃ±or ( bilingÃ¼e) que debo decir fue muy amable, respetuoso y profesional el fue quien nos entregÃ³ las llaves del vehÃculo y quien nos lo recibiÃ³ tambiÃ©n luego de su uso. Website for pick up is awful. After you go through all the steps, only to have it tell you pending approval. After 20min if that I went into the location and it was done in 5 minutes. When you have a set pick up time for the truck it should not take over 30min to do so. I will try a different rental service for the rest of my move. At this time I would not recommendBrian M.
I only made this reservation because when I called another local branch (I called the Manheim Pike location) looking for a cargo van to rent there in Lancaster and return to a location in Middletown to save on mileage cost. I was told by the young man that Cargo Vans can only be used in town and therefor would have to be brought. He specifically told me that a 10ft truck could be picked up there in Lancaster and then returned in Middletown. That is the ONLY reason I agreed. He then helped me find a location in Lancaster that had a 10ft truck available. I made the reservation with him. When we arrived to pick up the truck we were told that the truck had to be brought back. I was furious. I had no other choice at that point because I was already late to pick up the furniture I was purchasing. This rental cost me an extra $28. I called the Manheim Pike location back and left a message to say how upset I was and that I would be reporting this situation. I have rented from Uhaul multiple times over the last several years. At this point, I will call Budget truck rental before I will ever rent from UHaul again.Michael R.

The inside of the truck was filthy. Looks like the previous renter spilled a drink. It smelled and there was dog hair stuck to the spilled area. I wore gloves to be safe. These vehicles should be clean between rentals. Next time I'll cancel and go someplace else.Miguel N.
