Johnathan MeiwesThe owner was awesome - extremely helpful, kind and courteous - I would highly recommend them and plan on doing more business therein - the UHAUL truck itself while clean and functional needs suspension and more mechanical attention - I was informed by another UHAUL employee in Anchorage that their entire local fleets are in terrible shape and have been abused and as well had parts thieved off of them - when renting UHAUL in Florida we always rec excellent running trucks - sad it appears as though not in AK

cynthia laporteEverything was grade A... (aside from the trailer tongue not bring locked down on the tow ball and popping up when I pulled the 4 wheeler off. Thankfully, my Pop was with me, so we were able to get it back on. If I had been by myself, not sure I could have very easily.) Everything was ready for me. The people were super nice & helpful. Suggestion: pre-set up for contract online, so it is quicker than filling everything out there.

Eva Liis BradfordI made the reservation online. First off, the website let me reserve a trailer to pick up in Anchorage. The next day I received a call saying the only trailer available was in Wasilla. If it’s not available, why would the website let me reserve it. Well I decided to take the one in Wasilla anyway. When I get there, the guy didn’t have my reservation information already. He asked if I wanted insurance, yet I already booked insurance. Then he asked where I’m Fairbanks I wanted to drop it off, yet I already booked it on the website to drop off in North Pole. He told me his system did not show North Pole as an option. How is his system different from what I booked on the uhaul website?? Moving on to the next issue. The guy tells me to go hook up and he’ll come check out the connection. I hook up to the only enclosed trailer that was readily accessible due to snow. He checks it out and clears me to leave. The next day he calls me asking for the number on the trailer and then informs me that I took the wrong trailer. He should have caught that before he told me I was good to leave. Oh well, I received a 5x8 on accident vs. the 4x8 I booked. Thankfully I didn’t have to pay extra. After that, everything was smooth. I dropped the trailer where I said I would in North Pole and the lady was super nice.
Evan GillenwaterI would suggest that UHaul runs a check when reserving a uHaul to see if there are any outstanding issues with that customer. It really SUCKED to have to deal with a mistake made by UHaul on the day of our move.

DONNA JOHNSONThe truck stunk so bad of cigarettes with ashes everywhere. Literally made me and my daughter nauseous. What a shame as it was a new truck. He then also charged me for 2 gallons of gas when he said half a tank and I brought it back at half a tank. I should have taken a picture of the gas line when I parked it!! So NO I will never rent from this location again, because I hate the smell of cigarettes and the guy is obviously just sick, old and bitter.

Bradley RussellThe drop off (office closed for the holiday) was unexpectedly complicated and I had to make trips back and forth out to the truck to try to get what was asked for by the directions on the key drop box. Would be helpful to tell people more than just “throw the keys in the box when you’re done.” Ended up not filling out all of it, not sure in the end how much was saved or sent or blank.. and I’m pretty cell phone savvy. This may not be a good set up for those who have difficulty ambulating or aren’t tech savvy or who don’t have a smart phone.

RON BABBThe vehicle was clean, however the excessive use of "new car smell" fragrance made it difficult to be in the cab. Luckily, I did not have a long drive, and the weather was allowable for riding with the windows down. The fragrance was so strong it would give me a severe headache when I tried driving with the windows up. Artificial fragrances are an allergy trigger to many people and have been found to be heavily carcinogenic, I hope uhaul will consider changing the allowance of such heavy usage in their fleet.

Pamela FrederickCustomer service was excellent. Uhaul changed my car trailer pick up location from 15 minutes away to over 3 hours away the afternoon prior to leaving Alaska. These guys were super accommodating and helped me out with a local car dolly rental as an alternative to save the 6 hour round trip. Good people that I would recommend to anyone.
Christopher RushUHaul charge me too much for the fuel charges as I only used little bit of gas maybe 2 gallons but they charged me $50 for 8 gallons and I didn’t used that much. As these truck are newer and gets great gas mileage than older one. I’m not happy to pay 8 gallons of payment while I did not used that much. 2 gallons only that is fair.
Anjum MasoudI reserved the van 48 hours in advance. I set up self pickup at 8 am. Staff didn't set up the key in the box. I had to wait until 10am when a staff member showed up to hand me the key. I rushed to make my appointment and ended up missing it. It was a complete waste.

Milton HagelbergerWas glad the facility had the trailer i needed. All lights on the auto transport trailer functioned properly. One issue was the tires were underinflated, and one of the tires had a visible slow air leak. This was reported upon returning the trailer.
Christopher ScottDidn’t even get to use the U-Haul for the full amount not charge the full amount quoted the wrong price per mile. It was very dirty and the check engine light came on while I used it and still charged me the full amount.

Rodney CrewWe would highly recommend renting from this location! They were friendly and helpful, able to answer questions and didn't have any issues when we needed to change the reservation to a larger truck. We felt comfortable with our experience from the first phone call to returning the truck. The place down the road in Meadow Lakes never even bothered to return our phone call when we tried them. Alaska R&R answered right away and were ready to help. Thank you guys for being the type of place people want to rent from again!
