My 26 truck rental was set for pickup in ware,ma but was changed without directly contacting me. I recieved an email and text stating it was changed but I stopped reading those as I was continually pandered to register for an online check in process. I could not pick up the truck from the new location as it was too far away and my wife was being induced into labor the day of pickup. This caused me to be forced to take a 20ft truck. The 20 ft truck was not large enough obviously and I had to take an addition trip to ledyard Connecticut which is just under 100 miles away. This basically cost me 4 hours and the chance to sit down and have a quick birthday celebration with my 4 year old daughter before I had to catch a plane back to Detroit where I am currently working a 3 month long job. I imagine a simple phone call could have avoiding all this assuming you are capable of transporting the truck I paid for to the location in which i paid for it to be. The rental for the 20 ft truck was "cheaper" by 50 dollars. The additional 200 miles I drove however cost me extra money, not just in gas but I was also charged for driving too many miles, which seems like a joke really. Finally this caused me to be running late for my flight so I did not have time to gas up the truck and had to pay 3.50 per gallon at the rental facility instead of 2 dollars at a gas station. I did the same thing at my car rental place. They have the stones to charge their customers 10 dollars per gallon. So I basically ended up paying double for 6 less feet and lost the little amount of time I had hoped to spend with my daughters and newborn son because my reservation was changed and noone bothered to even ask me.

Did not even leave their office to help. Said I had to go find it-had to go buy hitch and ball and couldn't say what size ball or hitch drop I should get. Then said I had to hook up by myself. 70 years old and never had a trailer had to hook up and check lights alone. On way home stopped at an RV place and they checked it out for free. On other hand drop off in Hendersonville NC was great Completely checked out everything including tire pressure when I dropped off-did all unhooking and everything in polite a friendly manner and apologized for my poor experience at pickup.

I had signed up online for a van but when I went to pick it up some technological glitches slowed down the check in process. The staff at APR went out of their way to make good on my reservation and, an hour later, I had my van. Kudos to them for putting the customer first. I would obviously have preferred a problem free check out but it seems as if the problem was partly on my end as well as on the corporate site. When I returned the van, I also had issues with the self return process but a U Haul representative was patient in explaining how to complete on my phone. Good customer service again!

You should have a better sysyem for picking up equipment and have a person present at the site since you claimed to be open. It took me an hour and a half to pick up a truck and no one could seem to help me.

The uhaul truck was clean and ran great. I rented a utility dolly and appliance cushions and when I picked up the uhaul truck neither were in the truck. I was still charged for both items.

Have vehicles cleared of snow and ready for rental customers. On site employee told customers that it was permissible to take vehicles from lot even though there was a foot of snow on roof of box. It is illegal to drive a vehicle with a snow load on the roof. Employee, a young girl, was alone and had no means to remove snow. I spent over an hour of my time, using my own snow clearing equipment, to remove snow and ice from roof of vehicle.

We would recommend that the foot+ of snow be removed from the top of the uhaul. We had to do and we shouldn't have had to.

Make sure the vehicle will start without difficulty. We were almost stranded as the battery was nearly dead. Upon pick-up, the engine almost failed to turn over. After shutting it off once afterwards and it nearly refused to start, we left it running continually. It was not a pleasant feeling.

When I returned the truck at the scheduled time, 9AM Saturday morning, Nov. 9, 2019 the office door was locked and nobody was there. The hours posted stated that the office should be open, it was not. I left the key and the paperwork in the drop box. On November 11th I received at phone call asking about the truck. I stated that it had been returned on Saturday at the appropriate time for a 24 hour rental. The rental was for one 24 hour period and this is what should be charged to my credit card, any other charges will be contested.

There was broken glass in the parking lot near the trailer. It required me to pull the trailer roughly 30 feet up a hill to avoid the glass. Service counter was fine, but wish they had been more prepared for my arrival.

Got charged $25 for cleaning and that was it any dirt of any sort in the truck the only thing that might've been left was a soda can in the cupholder very disappointed thought for sure when I gave them the information That I would be reimbursed but they said they couldn't find the contract so basically I get screwed but I'm probably not the only one

This final location for my pick up was great. It is unfortunate that between 24hrs prior to my picking up the truck I reserved a week before and actually picking one up I had my reservation canceled by the original location, the promised truck at secondary location was never returned as promised and I ended up driving 20 miles to this final location.

When I picked up the truck there was a pile of moving blankets thrown into a corner Inside the Box. I did not request, need nor use these blankets. I returned them in the exact location and condition that they where when I rented the vehicle. When I was invoiced from All Parts Racing in Ware, MA, they charged me a $25 cleaning fee for not folding the blankets that they left in a pile in the truck. I didn't need or use them. There was no way I was paying for them. I tried to contact All Parts and they never responded. I had to contact Uhaul corporate to have the charge removed. I'll never do business with APR again and will make sure to spread the word on their shoddy business practices and theft.

This is my local location - I know the owner and a lot of the employees. First time I've done UHaul with them. Very helpful getting me started -booking, locations, advice, etc. Drop-off was a breeze, literally minutes. They're a good company and because it's family owned and employees are local, they take everything they do a step further to make sure the experience is positive.

I was charged a $38 fee for the gas gauge being $8 off after putting $60 of gas into the truck. I returned it at 1/4 tank as i was intsructed to do.

This place was so unprofessional it was insane. From the sales associate that didnt want to read the agreement letter because "it's really long" and also didn't even realize that she charged us to the wrong truck and made the pick up take 2 hours while I had to call my bank to make sure I wasnt getting double charged. To the man they had help us hook up the trailer (for a fee they waved this time because of their billing mistake) who said he's never hooked one of these up before. I would suggest you close this location or look a little more into it. These people give Uhaul a terrible rep and im not sure who im more upset with. Uhaul for allowing this location to deal with customers or this location for its absolute poorest of costumer service.

The dash lights were out. I got charged for a dolly I never got but definitly could've used. I was quoted 115$ for traveling 55 miles, I only went 51 and managed to pay an extra almost $30. Also I got there and out of ALL the cleared off trucks the were ready to drive, I got the only the I had to fully clean snow off of and was parked in a snow bank. Definitly not thrilled.

I gave my credit card number online to pay for the truck and was charged $1 from uhaul to make sure it would go through. Then when I had my step dad pick up the uhaul they charged him a $100 deposit instead of charging the card I had given them the information for

Contacted U-Haul to ask about changing drop-off location. Agent on the 888 line said to drop it off and contact the 888 number when I dropped the trailer off. On my return to the house, I again called the 888 number so that U-Haul could note my return, but the agent said no need, the receiving cite had cameras. On Tuesday, 2 days after I dropped off the trailer, U-Haul contacted me about when I was going to drop off the trailer. This was poor service from U-Haul, not from the dealers.

They did not have the 15 foot truck I ordered. They gave me a 20 footer which was too big for the job. But, Uhaul was at fault on this one. They allowed me to choose the 15 ft truck when it was available at the location

Rented @9:14am Saturday returned truck @4:33pm Saturday. Location closed. Company charged me until Monday 10/8/18 when they checked truck back in 10:45am. Filed dispute with Uhaul but fell on deaf ears.

I was told the vehicle was clean and ready to go. A walk through with personal was not done. It was full of trash upfront, and even a razor blade in back(which my helpful 7 year old found). I called and told the location, she was very nice but told me there was nothing they could do on their end to help, and that she didn't know who was responsible for cleaning the vehicle. Also something was workibg improperly because once in tow/haul mode super hot air came out on your feet! Ended up putting welts on my husbands ankle! Was told by the very rude and unresponsive area manager there was nothing wrong with the vehicle and they wouldn't compensate us for any issues. Horrible horrible moving experience.

The issues aren't the people. The issues we had were the online reservation and dealing with it in the stores, wasted so much time. Our time and the time of each location. Three pick up locations and one drop off. It was awful.

Next time you can make sure that when a customer purchases this service that their CONFIRMED reservation doesn't result in them having to play phone tag to try and get the reservation. I don't mind that the location had to switch, but when it switches, the place one is supposed to go to shouldn't hang up on the customer because they don't have the reservation (despite being told that the reservation was all set).

There was an empty box in truck I rented and there was only 1/2 tank of fuel when it was stated truck has 5/8 and be returned with 5/8. I returned truck clean and with 3/4 tank of fuel.

APR was great. The truck on the other hand. I was nervous to take on the highway because of what sounded like a wheel bearing. And the driver side crank window did not function properly. Other than that everything went well

I did take precautions (took pictures of the van before and after, including mileage) just incase, after reading other not so good reviews on this location BUT I had no problems. I was treated very well by the staff and had a fast, easy and informative interaction. I would use this location again.

Truck was in very poor condition. Was not suitable for a 1000 mile move. A 26 foot truck should not be a gasoline motor. It should be a diesel motor. Was horrible on gas mpg. I will not use uhaul again.

I was mislead about the drop off location. Customer service was not great. Mileage on the contract was incorrect to the truck and I was not informed of this until I asked to see the mileage before signing the contract. Very poor experience, probably won't do it again.

First they told us we had only rented the vehicle for 6hrs instead of a day, then they told us that our vehicle would be reported stolen after we had already returned it. Then they told us we owed u haul 45,000 dollars for mileage. Then they charged us twice for the same bill. All a huge hassle while we are trying to move.

Horrible experience with the pick up place. The associate was over a half an hour late, we had to call him to come to the store. When he got there, he didn't apologize or even talked to us unless he had to. There was dog poop and urine drying on the floor and he made no effort to clean it up. It took another half hour to get the truck.
