Location states office hours are 9 am to 4 pm. On two occasions I showed up at 9 am and they were not open with no one in the premises; phone would go to voicemail.

Contract #: 26282413 Dear UHaul, I finished my move the other day and I have to say that it was the worst moving experience of my life. I say this not to be a petty customer, but to showcase how awful your customer service has been due to UHaul's lack of preparation, assistance, and management that the company has been responsible for the entire process. For the record, I'm not the kind of person who emails companies either but this was something else. It began when I booked my UHaul online a few days ago. At the time of booking, I was in New York and my plan was to take a bus to the Newton, MA bus stop and Uber to the Natick Uhaul location, (the closest one). I was moving things from Massachusetts to a new apartment in Brooklyn, New York. When I booked a cargo van for pickup in Natick, Massachusetts (@5pm) I was given a message alerting me that a representative would contact me before 6pm via a phone call to ensure the best time and location for me. This call never came and I received an email confirmation that night saying my UHaul would be ready for pick up Lowell, Massachusetts, roughly an hour from where I would be coming in. Shocked by this lack of communication, I made a call to UHauls customer service line. After being on hold for about a half hour, I finally spoke with someone. I told the dispatcher my dilemma and they checked the database. To my surprise they said that there would be a Cargo van ready for me at the Natick location, at 5pm like my original plan, located at 834 Worcester St. I was so relieved I thanked them and hung up. I got on my bus and drove 4 hours to Newton, MA then took my Uber to the Natick location that I had been given. I went in and spoke to the representative to which I was told they didn't have what I needed and I was at the wrong location. I said that was not possible because I followed the instructions I had been given by the dispatcher precisely and provided the recipients. I was told that I couldn't be helped and had to go to the other Natick location. When I asked what time the other location closed I was told that it was too late because the other location closed at 5pm. He also told my that they couldn't give me a cargo van because I was moving to New York and cargo vans cannot leave the state that are in. Two things didn't make sense now: 1) why would I be told by the dispatcher that my UHaul would be ready for a pickup at 5pm when that is when the location closed and 2) why am I only finding out that cargo vans cannot make interstate travel? This was not mentioned during my booking process, the website showed all UHaul options and didn't designate which vehicles are not allow for interstate moves. The representative told me my only option was to go to Wilmington, which was over an hour away and I wouldn't even make it there in time before they closed. Did I mentioned I Ubered to the UHaul pick up location and was now stranded?? I traveled from New York because I had been provided instruct

LOOK I Paid for Insurance ! I demand a refund! I was Over Charged . I only used the truck 1 day and I was charged for 3 days. I demand justice. The truck was NOT well maintained it drove badly rough. The ancient (buy a new truck!) ROLL UP window gave me an INJURY and I have Pain and Suffering from rubbing my left hand on drivers side of window panel when I roll window up manually. VERY BAD !! The GaS PLUG KEPT FALLING OFF THE TRUCK LEAVING MY GAS HOLE OPEN to leaking out GAS!!! THIS COST ME EXTRA GAS MONEY> I DEMAND A fulll refund.

I’m not happy with U-Haul at all! First we call and reserve a truck on the phone in Norwood, MA. Told everything was all set. Friday we get a call saying sorry that truck is not available. I said I thought it was guaranteed and she said no so we had to go to Stoughton to get it. Not that it that much farther but more traffic and driving on highway when we were trying to avoid that. We had it drop off location for Medfield MA. They said we could drop it off after hours not a problem. We parked it in the spot. Put the rental contract with the keys in the lock box on the gate as instructed. We get an email yesterday saying we did a late return and I call the number on email. They said the truck was never returned. I explained we dropped it off and confirmed it. She said I needed to call back during their office hours. I have tried calling all day yesterday as well as today and left several messages at medfield location. We do not understand what is happening or going on and why no one returned our calls but we do not want our credit cards charged. This is very stressful since no one will help

The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the truck was dirty when we picked it up. The windshield wipers needed to be changed and the washer fluid was either empty or frozen. When making the trip we had to exit the highway because the windshield was so dirty we couldn't see. Dangerous.
