Before someone purchase a rental they should be told all the information about the payments and the hold that will be place and not just charge your card with no information about the rental

Don't schedule pick-up times when no one is available to fulfill the reservation and the pick-up location is closed. I waited and sat for an 1 hour and 48 minutes and was told that no one was at the location and someone was coming all the way from Philadelphia to Phillipsburg, New Jersey. Once someone arrived to open the store, almost two hours after my pick-up time, I received a dirty truck with a half a tank of gas.

My rental was transferred to this location after another location was unable to provide the key for the truck I rented. I arrived 20 minutes after the transfer happened (the time it took to drive from the initial rental location to the next). When I arrived the door to the business was locked despite being within business hours. When I called the manager (number was posted on the door) he scolded me for being late. When I asked what he meant he just repeated that I was very late and needed to wait for an employee to arrive. After the employee arrived (30 minutes later) he unlocked the door and let me in. As he checked the system he told me my rental was not in their system. I offered to show him the rental agreement on my phone as I knew it was just transferred, but the employee insisted that without it being in their system he couldn't proceed. He then called his manager (who I previously spoke with over the phone) who said that the only way I could take the truck was if I paid there on the spot. I refused as I had already paid for the rental. I was told that was my only option so I left and did not end up renting the truck. I called U-Haul who agreed to refund my order. However, I discovered a few days later that the refund didn't go through because this location marked the truck as being checked out by me and returned the next day. Obviously, that is false. In summary the manager at this location tried to scam me twice. First by trying to make me pay twice for the same rental. Then a second time by marking the truck as being checked out by me and returned the next day even though that never happened. I think U-Haul should take a long look at the business practices of this location to evaluate whether it should still be a U-Haul partner. As a result of this awful experience I will not use U-Haul again. Also, after many discussions with the people from U-Haul I finally got my refund however it is $8 less than what I paid. I find it insulting after all of the terrible service I received that they somehow shorted my refund.

The Uhaul I had reserved was not available at the location I had originally reserved it. The Uhaul rep Mark at the pick up location told me that Uhaul does that sometimes without telling you. It was buried in my emails that the pickup location had changed and was an hour away from my moving location. Mark told me he couldn't compensate me for anything and that I was lucky that there was even a truck available even though it was half the size of the one I needed. And I had to pay the same amount for a 10ft truck that I was going to pay for a 20ft truck! He said that Uhaul can charge what ever they want for one way trips. He also told me F*ck Uhaul they do this sh*t all the time. I'll never use Uhaul again. I'm highly disappointed and dissatisfied.

i was spoken to very badly? i was one day late, which when i called on that day i was told it was ok to keep the truck for one more day. i get a phone call from someone that i was suppose to have the truck back the day before and yelling at me that he wanted the truck in 30 minutes treating me like crap! when i tryed to explain he didn't let me talk..very POOR service. i wouldn't recommend anyone to go there

Everything went very smoothly from start to finish. The agent was very courteous and friendly. I live close to this location, so it was easy to get there and take the vehicle and was easy to return (on Sunday, keys in the orange box!). Thank you!

Went to a back room to do the computer work. i had to use my phone to take pictures of my licence. this was during corona he did not have a mask on or gloves. some how i was automatically signed up to have the insurance even tho i never asked for it. i had some anxiety because the store manager kept on saying i hes not heir to use some app on my phone which i dont have and to use the drop box for the key when i stated that i would be back in 2 house which would be around 4 pm and they close at 8 pm. then when i returned it the tablet they use took forever to do anything.

They were kind enough to be awake at 7:00AM on a Sunday. They accommodated all my moving needs, we customer oriented, and beyond helpful! Every move is stressful but this one had me frazzled. This Franchise was understanding, patience and treated me outstandingly.

I reserved a 5x8 trailer on line and when I got there they did not have one ( they never have one). The guy was nice and I rented a truck because I had to move that day. Uhaul never called to change locations. This was a bait and switch. I hope I get a call and someone covers the additional expense . Charlie. 732 496 5936

Very dissatisfied with this UHAUL experience. I was charged $35.88 in gas fees having gone only 11 miles the entire trip. I do not even pay that much to fill up my own vehicle. I was charged $4 per gallon when gas in my area goes for $2.49 per gallon so I am definitely being over charged and will never use U-Haul again nor will I recommend them to family or friends I will however tell them about price gouging and greed. Yes, I signed a contract but I didn't agreed to paying for overpriced gas. What a rip off!!

VERY !!!! DISAPOINTED in the fact I was mislead. I was told at three different u-haul stores that the rental price per mile would be one price and at the time of the rental charged more money. I don't blame the person, as he said, he just reads off the computer. If I didn't have timely plans, I would have never took the rental. Vehicle was perfect, and representative was perfect. I felt I was lied to about the price.
