The rear door of the trailer did not close properly. There was no opportunity to realize this because the door was closed already when it was picked up. We were able to use a hammer to pound up on the bottom of the lower catch area and get it to work. I think something needed to be tightened to hold it up into the proper position to close the lower latch part but it required some tightening with an allen wrenchLynell G.

First of all, the girl at the desk was excellent. She did everything she could do to help. We reserved a 15' truck and tow dolly weeks before. The day before our reserved date, they changed the location for pickup. We picked the truck up and the truck was all over the road as you couldn't steer it. They had given us a local truck instead of an out of town truck (we were traveling cross country). We took it back, and they said there weren't any more 15' trucks available anywhere in the area. They then said we could pick up a 20' truck at a different location the next day at the same cost (approx $2,100). When we got to that store, they wanted us to pay $5,000. Apparently, the system showed that we had used the 15' truck and brought it back. After an hour of waiting for them to straighten it out, we had to go back to the original location to pick up the tow dolly. We had just sold our home, had to be out that day, so now we were a day and a half behind. This turned into a very stressful situation!! So be aware that just because you reserve a truck, it doesn't mean there will be one available. And check the truck over before you leave there.peggy R.

My issue is with the billing - I scheduled a one way truck as we moved over an hour away from the original location. I received a call from UHaul asking could I take a round trip truck due to them having no one way trucks. I scheduled the truck over a week before this call. They told me they would give me one extra day and 80 miles as compensation for returning the truck to the original location about an hour back where we got it. We picked up the truck on Friday at 8am and returned it before 5 on Saturday. They still charged me the 2nd day and mileage for the truck. I called and the lady at UHaul tells me that if they change it to round trip which is $40 a day (verses the one way rate of $149 per day); they have to charge the mileage as well. So I did them a favor, I could have went to a different truck rental company and I still got screwed on what they promised. I was charged $179 and it should have only been $78 plus tax. Next time I need a truck for anything I will definitely find a different company and the sad thing is I have always used Uhaul even if I just need a pickup to get something moved.Tammy B.

The property property charged me 4 extra gallons of gasoline $21.00 I added 10 gallons before returned it to match my pictures .(I have records) If the truck used 14 gallons of gasoline for a trip of 70 miles it means that it need 1gallons of gasoline for every 5 miles , you don't think is a lot After the proofs the property never credit the charge for the gasolineJose C.

I am knowledgeable on rentals, so I take the offered Safemove/ damage waiver for the particular vehicle I am renting. Agent didnt suggest the added SAFETRIP, which I think is very important to have in addition to the accident coverage. For the small added fee- lost key, gas or lock out coverage, it should be explained & offered more readily. If Customer Service is the goal.Lynn E.

I have dropped off at this location before and have never had a problem but when I was called yet again by U-Haul to say that I couldn't drop off at this location they wanted me to drop off at another location but then couldn't tell me why and then proceeded to tell me that this location would be open on Sunday Which they are never open on Sunday and the truck drivers that were there told me that this happens all the time people show up to drop off vehicles and the location is closed but they're never told that it's closed so I had to do the automatic drop off which was fine, I just was not prepared for it and like I said from the very beginning my experience this time was horrible. I have to say for 30+ years I've always gone to U-Haul, I am rethinking that after this one experience I put out a ridiculous amount of money to have that vehicle for less than 24 hours and didn't even get offered any kind of discount or rebate for having to bend to your convenience and not mine and then not having equipment available that I pre-ordered to have available so it was a very frustrating experience.Shawn C.

I was sent to a different drop off spot. But it was actually a little taco stand. And they could only have one truck in the lot at a time and they had their 1 truck so they sent us over to the Apache sands. And that young man was absolutely excellent. I didn't catch his name because I was in-and-out of there so fast. But he was very charming and extremely polite. It really took a lot of stress off from me. Although I will say it would be nice if you turned the truck in with a full tank under mileage and early it should be able to get some part of a refund because moving is costly enoughAlice J.

The customer service agent I spoke with was outstanding, I felt like she listened to my questions & answered them without making it complicated. When I called the location that I was going to be picking up the pickup truck Chris was very professional & courteous. When I went to pick up the truck Chris assisted me & when I brought back the rental & got my bill it was exactly what I thought it was going to be.
