Truck was filthy, goopy stuff in the cup holders, greasy stuff all over the seats. I mean this was the most dirty uhaul truck I have ever picked up. Staff at this location also tried to charge me cleaning supplies and I had to clean the truck myself. This location is very disappointing. The store was filthy. They did not follow COVID precautions. The truck was filthy. They had the wrong gas level recorded for check out. I corrected that but was concerned about being charged. Generally, the service was slow and inattentive.Gina H.
I don't feel as though the truck was cleaned. In the time of Covid, if you had the pick-up location deep clean the trucks interior, I think I would have had a better time driving. I wiped everything down prior to my trip, then wore a mask and gloves. So I guess either quick interior cleans with wipes or something for guests will be great. The guy told me that these are moving fast and that Uhaul is overbooking. These trucks could be little Covid incubators if not cleaned consistently. Maybe they are and I over looked it? My truck was dusty and there was food left over from the last person. I also picked it up in a dirt lot over half a mile away from where I scheduled to pick it up.Douglas K.
Make sure the people completing reservations are fully trained in all U-haul policies and do not give incomplete or inaccurate information. That said, everyone I talked to was very helpful and friendly despite that.Michael E.

Our truck broke down 45 minutes into a long trip. It took 4 hours to get us back on the road putting us way behind and now having to drive in the dark which we were trying to prevent. This is the third rental my husband and I have had and each one has broken down.Charlotte A.
Great customer service. I believe the equipment was maintained as well as possible. By that I mean, it looked like all the shitty U-Haul Equipment in America was brought to that location for them to rent out. It was clean, but looked like it just finished a tour in Iraq. The site was clean, and customer service was/is top notch. But they're options for rental looked beat to shit. It started out great. Quick courteous service. And then halfway to my loading site I noticed the check engine light was on as well as a check gas cap light. When I called to report, I was told â€œoh yeah, that's because the last renter lost the gas cap, so it was replaced with a different one. I had to go to a different location to actually get the truck, but the mobile check out process made me bring it to the original location to check it out, and I had to take it back to the other location when I was done and bring the keys back to the first location. When i had to exchange a broken defective truck for one that worked- the gas station employee had no training in how to help me at all. Management should have come to location to assist if the employee was that confused. It took hours to sort out. My experience was terrible. The shopkeep left to go home and locked the door as I got there. Then the next shift person didnt come until 30 minutes later. Then the shopkeep refused to use my gift card because he did not know how, and he messed up my return location. I would rethink how uhaul runs this location.Bernard H.

this is more of an issue with u-haul rather than the location itself. I was shoe-horned into purchasing a more expensive vehicle because the one i reserved (that was available at time of reservation) was not available. u-haul would NOT honor the original cost and made me upgrade in order to continue with my scheduled moving plans. terrible business etiquette.christopher G.
This location is primarily a gas station. Customer service was interrupted by people buying gas and snacks and drinks. The attendant was friendly, courteous, and knoledgeable, but the time it took to complete the transaction took longer.pam T.

I've always liked renting from this location. The truck should have not been rented out however. It had a bad exhaust leak that caused it to be so loud that I had to buy hearing protection to drive back from my pick-up location. I found customer to be cursory, if not curt; and certainly not helpful. I have found this is often the case with Uhaul after they have rented you the equipment. It was an irritating and frustrating day. I do like renting from this location however.Alan S.

Our reservation for a truck was changed and I was told we would be given an extra day by the U-Haul rep and when I went to go pick up the truck that wasn't the case. The alliance road location is a horrid experience and I have used it previously and it's always the same. It's a convenience store that generally has 1 employee who doesn't know how to do the U-Haul stuff and has zero clue how to change or update anything. It took over an hour to pick up a truck I had reserved because she was the o lot person working the mini mart register and also doing U-Haul contracts. The truck tire was thread bare and two hours down the road blew out. Then U-Haul sent someone from 5 hours away and when we checked where the tow truck driver was we found out U-Haul sent someone from way far away so we had to wait even longer for U-Haul to figure it out. We waited over 3 hours on the side of the road for an already screwed up reservation and was shorted a day so we missed our free help from friends and had to hire people to help unload so that we could get the truck back. If I have the ability to use a different company next time I move, one that doesn't make my experience hell from start to finish, I will go with them and tell my friends and colleagues to do so as well. Maintenance on your trucks and proper customer service go a long way...clearly farther than the tread on your truck tires.Brandie W.

The truck was full of mud and plant materials, my new house is now also full of mud and plant materials. NOT HAPPY. And they didn't do anything when we told them about it when we returned it. No help , over charged for gas to make more money. Not ok. To get gas to where it supposidly was wouldnt have been 42.oo and then 30.00 fee bull shit. I moved from red bluff to Arcata not easy trip or convenience. The second location was only worried about renting to another customer. Not my fault he only has one truck. Wont return or use that place ever. Price gouged me on gas i had just put 20 in it to fill to line. So im not happy with service. I couldnt wait to go over every thing and he took advantage of it. First of all my name was written phoenetically not accurately. The truck was physically clean but had been used to transport marijuana and stunk. Booked another truck to me in error and in correcting it double billed my credit card plus two additional charges which were not mine. Picked up the truck and took it to the gas station to put gas in it. While I was pumping gas I heard it just dumping out the bottom. The uhaul/ gas clerk came out and said the gas hose was stolen at their location where they park the cars. With no way back to the lot to pick up our car we had to walk all the way to my house to pick up another car so we could drive it to the lot to see if another uhaul truck would be in working order. The next truck ended up working and was able to move my stuff after an hour of figuring this all out.Danica D.

The staff at this location were super helpful. The location itself is a bit strange in that you have to have someone take you to the gas station (petro mart), pick up the key and place the deposit, have someone drive you to where the U-Haul trucks are located, then you have to drive the Uhaul all the way back to the petro mart to start the contract. When you're done you have to bring it to petro to be checked, then drive it yourself back to the Uhaul lot, then have someone drive you from the lot back to Petro to drop off the key and end the contract. Kind of a lot of steps, just saying. The Uhaul truck was in great condition and made my move easier. ThanksAmanda B.

Only two concerns: the windshield was really dirty and the gas tank should be filled (especially when you pick up the truck at a gas station.)
