When I went to pick up my vehicle, it took me an unusually long time to complete the process. I was the only customer there so I didn't have to wait in line. First, the system was slow according to the gentleman who was helping me I was playing with my phone while waiting it took so long. Then he asked for another contact for emergencies, which I gave him but he said the number is invalid. I gave an emergency contact when I reserved the vehicle online. Then he asked for another emergency contact, and then another. That's 3 emergency contacts. I spent like 30 minutes trying to get my vehicle keys because of slow system and 3 emergency contacts. Why do you need so many emergency contacts. 1 is all you need. The gentleman said it is what U-Haul system is asking and it wouldn't let him process my rental without all of this. Anyway, I just feel that the process could have gone smoothly had I not looked through my cell phone address book for 3 people to put down as my emergency contacts. I think 3 is excessive. Other than this the rental experience was fine.

I'm getting bill more miles then the ones I used. I'm glad I took pictures of the odometer to prove a point. This is very unprofessional and dishonest. I can't believe they were not able to do a complete check for me. I was just told to leave the truck in the front and that they would take care of the rest. And I would get my receipt via email.

The pick up location added insurance to my reservation without my permission and dispatch the equipment charging my credit card an unauthorized amount. I was on hold and transferred around uhaul customer service for 45 mins and had to file and escalation with a manager to reverse the charges. The owner of the location was very rude about the situation and denied any responsibility.

I checked the truck in New Orleans. I got a call an hour after I returned home saying they found damage on the roof of the truck. I went back to uhaul knowing I hadnt damaged the truck. The manager Marty was rude and said I was responsible and he was filing a claim against me. I told him I hadnt damaged the truck and was checked out and given a receipt. I got a call 30 minutes later after I left uhaul for the second time. It was the manager saying he contacted the dealer where I rented the truck. He said there was damage on it when I picked it up in Florence sc. He said he was "sorry". He had already belittled me infront if his employees. We will never use uhaul again!

The guy there did not help me hook up the car hauler. I had to hook it up myself. This wasn't my first time renting a car hauler so it wasn't a big issue but I would think that for liability sake a U-haul rep would make sure that the equipment was hooked up correctly. Other than that it was a pretty good experience.

reserved a 10 ft truck and safemover insurance on line. Only had a 14 ft truck when we got there and didnt have the insurance added on. Spent $105 in gas to travel 150 miles. The needle wouldnt move when we refilled it and we ended up putting more in than needed. Told the employee this but no apologies or trying to correct...only said "it will be $50 if the level is not correct....so we ended up putting in $30 dollars more that was not needed after the gas hand decided to work. Will never use UHaul again!!!
