The truck had dried mud all over interior door, floors. The Guy didn't even ask for my Identification. Asked for a relative's info, which was odd, to say the least. I made the reservation online, the day before & he asked if my address changed... told me I had to rent for 24 hours then said I could bring it back same day... It was a very awkward situation all around

We dropped off the truck and dolly together on the 21st, then received an email on the 25th that the dolly was just dropped off and had 3 days of late charges. Still in dispute.

This process went smoother though it still makes you jump through hoops as you do everything yourself. The attendant at the location was more interested in eating his fast food than to assist me. Overall the people at U-Haul have been nice, professional and helpful but the self check in process will have me look to alternatives in the future.

Don't give out trailers with bald tires that go flat. Also, check the lights before sending people off. Also, wear a mask in that tiny office when someone walks in. We're in the muddle if a pandemic and I'm pretty sure it's the law.

A little help digging the trailer out of the hole it was in (muddy puddle) would have been nice. A warning that I'd need an extension cord to hook up the trailer since the connector is located half way up the tongue of the trailer. I noticed other units on the lit that already had the connector added....

Showed up 5 minutes before our appointment and did online check in so that the whole process would be quick and easy. Unfortunately still took over half an hour for the employee to just hand us our keys. He also forgot to give us the dolly we rented.

The trucks need to be returned FULL of gas. The truck I had was 1/2 empty. I had no idea of the gas mileage, so for my trip, I filled the tank. I only used 1/4 of a tank, so I left about $25 worth of gas in the truck. I'm angry about that. Rental cars require that the cars be returned full. If that were the case, I would have filled the tank back to full, which would be only 1/4 of a tank. Your policy is unfair to your customers.

Although the truck was returned the night before; so wasn't cleaned yet. It took no time at all to thoroughly clean, & disinfect the cab & get me on my way. The return was even faster. The truck was new and performed very well.

I would have liked to been able to take before photos. It looked like someone went missing in the van and I wanted to document. Plus there were a couple pieces of trash I wanted to document too. But there was nowhere to do that. Also, I didn't know I needed that much info in order to pick up the truck. I was trying to do it all while standing outside the office in the rain. And they kept saying no answer at the 2nd phone number. It was a tad frustrating bc why did they need to contact someone before I could get the van? I thought it was a backup.

Was advised that U-Haul had people under contract locally to offload van at a reasonable price, Price was far from reasonable and no one ever showed to offload!!! This false lead cost me dearly!

The printer to print out the contracts had been broken with no estimated repair date. Of the 3 car dollies (2 wheel), only 1 was in barely serviceable condition. The first one I was issued by the location was not in good working order. The office was a hole in the wall with no clear signage to point to the office. The office is typical for Astoria, but well below U-Haul standards across the USA. The U-Haul representative at the front desk was super helpful and polite. However, he had a broken right hand and no help. So while the guy was GREAT!!! I think this might reflect on management of the overall facility and leaving an injured employee with no help.

I had some problems with the check in using my phone. I had two units under different contracts and the system wouldn't let me leave the first unit after checking it in. Call to customer service and it was taken care of easily. Great job.

After dropping off with same amount of gas at pick up I was still charge for over 3 1/2 gallons of gas ! The guy was a smart mouth! I called spoke to the dust manager and he refunded the charge! I will not use them again I have used them twice and both times has been problems

One worker tried twice to get manager to come out of the office to help us. I finally walked down to the office where the manager was sitting in his chair doing nothing. He never did come out of the office. Unhooking and parking was totally on us to do.
