We had our reservation changed multiple times the day before our move, and we were not informed that the location we were most recently assigned to would be a local corner store. The only reason we found it was because we saw a couple Uhaul trucks in the parking lot. We did not feel comfortable leaving our car at the location which caused us to make an extra trip and use more mileage. The corner store owners did the best they could to help us but they did not have the information about our reservation so they had to get the information from us again. This caused a delay with meeting our movers. We were promised a discounted mileage rate from all the changes that were made to our reservation but we did not receive it. Also, the back door of the truck was constantly sticking making it difficult to close. Uhaul needs to do a much better job of communicating changes in reservations to their customers especially when the customer may be expecting to pick up their truck from a Uhaul center. Also, they need to maintain their fleet of trucks better to make sure rear doors are shutting properly. I have used Uhaul for multiple moves in the past, but after this experience my wife and I are seriously considering using another major moving company in the future.

I needed to switch to a smaller truck in Atlanta and an employee did the switch for me. He was very helpful. In Savannah the attendant receiving the equipment was very cordial and the check-in was smooth. Thanks!
