I was over charged significantly, hundreds of dollars, and no one other than the actual convenience store owner at the location seems to care. The Uhaul employee will not speak to me or assist me with getting an update invoice to reflect the Cargo van rented for $19.95 a day + $0.69 a mile.

1-Train the staff that is supposed to provide the keys for contactless. The experience was not contactless. the place did not have the keys inside the truck. I had to go inside the gas station to get the keys then wait for the worker to get ahold of 2 other people who told him to hand me the keys. 2. The truck was extremely dirty. There was material still left in the back of the truck. There was a layer of dead bugs across the front of the truck. 3. The truck was on empty. I had to get gas imediately. 4. The truck smelled like cigarette smoke and there was trash and food scraps inside of the cab. 5. The trucks transmission is wearing out. Hard to shift and is concerning. Overall this was the worst experience I have ever had with Uhaul. IF I could go back in time and rent a vehicle at a different place I would do so.

Don't offer a 3rd party moving sub, handle the payment for this service, and then submit payment TWICE MORE! I owe a “Promissory Note at the UHaul dealer because YOU triple payed movers on my behalf and they said refunds would post in 3-5 business days! Not the kind of HELP I'm looking for while moving.

Truck was filthy dirty inside and out, fuel level was wrong on paperwork and the guy would not change it. I still have not received a receipt. He keeps telling me that uhaul sends that. Customer service was awful and I had to put fuel in the vehicle before I could even start my day because it was just above 1/8 of a tank.

The place says on the website that it stays open until 11pm. When I got there at 10:33pm 5 minutes later he said he was closing the gas station/U haul. I really hate to think I would have been responsible for extra time had I gotten there a few minutes later. If the closing time is earlier it really needs to be listed on the website.

I ordered a dolly on line. U haul rep asked if I was 1 way. I told him yes. He told me they didnt have dollys at his location. I was credited back charge. But had to buy one for move. Double rental charge

Faster checkout. Show the customer where the vehicle is parked. Have gas in the truck prior to renting it. When checking the vehicle back in, let the customer know if there is anything else the customer has to do. Do not take the key back and just leave the customer standing there waiting without saying anything.

Since it was at a gas station, I had to wait for the attendant to free up but not long time. Return was supper easy. The only thing I didn't like that at the return I didn't know how much my credit card would be charged. Thx

The store owner/employee on shift in the evening had no idea what was going on with the uhaul service. I first arrived at the site around 2 pm to make sure I founf out the latest I could get a ruck for a quick 5 mile trip. I was told the location is open till 10 so my 7pm time frame was ok. I asked could I reserve a truck to assure there would be 1 and was told no need theres plenty. I get there at 645 there's a different person who says there's no trucks. I of course dispute that claim based on my earlier interaction. So the clerk goes to get the owner who says the same that there's no trucks. There was lityerly 6 to 10 trucks outside and with the matter fact deminear of the earlier clerk I sensed I was being lied to . The owner says go to the auburn location. So I look m online for the address once online I noticed only 1 store was open the one I was currently at and I noticed you could do internet reservations so I did for 7pm minutes away. Once back in the store I say I just booked a registration for this location there is trucks available. The owner says " your smart, I don't know how you reserved a truck I don't know how that works". Once I retrieved the keys O asked about a walk through and was told just don't crash it don't worry about anything else. At the time I didn't realize I was receiving text messages from uhaul with instructions the phone that they went to was in another vehicle on silent. So when I finish with the truck 1 hr later I return it.still.knowing nothing of the uhaul text with processes to follow. The clerk when I asked what my cost would be said just leave the key they will charge your card tomorrow. I had an issue just leaving the truck with no checking and my card associated to it so I continuously asked how do I check the truck in and remove my liability after I leave the property. I was told I was stupid to get the truck there I should.of went somewhere else like the owner said earlier. I left unwillingly with my liability still on the truck. Once J got home I got my phone to cal uhual and noticed my text message from uhual with all the instructions. Then I had to go all the way back to the store to follow the instruction to return truck. This experience we was disturbing. For a fact the clerk and owner at the time I was there knew nothing about your services that they facilitate. I am very dissatisfied with my experience .

The worker over the counter was more interested talking to his friend; rather helping a customer (me). Uhaul also didnt notify the customer (me) ahead of time about the requiment like dollys & furniture pads not in stock at the same place that you had to pick up.

Customer service was terrible in fact I believe having a gas station clerk in charge of everything is the worst idea you're company could have. The clerk was rude did NOT Communicate well with anything. I had to drive 30 mins back to the 76 station because my car was park to close to the gas station and the clerk threatened to tow my car if I didn't move it!!! On top on that you're mobile app pick up did not work and uhaul sent me WAY to many texts and emails that only made the experience SUPER confusing.

It's gas station. I'm apprehensive because I'm at a second U-Haul location due to the fact that the first place I went to was an auto body shop that was closed and it had these lockboxes out there and the code that they gave me was not correct so I opted to go somewhere else and pick up a different truck from another location and it's a gas station. I go in there and the dude asks for the drivers license I handed him he handed me the keys there's no other interaction. I go out I find the truck, as I'm thinking wow it's really weird that he didn't ask me about any damage on the truck or tell me about the gas situation, He comes out and says the because the truck is on E I can bring it back on E. I return the truck to the gas station a few hours later and drop it off no problem. Okay not so bad until I check my emails and see the astronomical charge on my credit card. I was doing a total of 30 miles. It was supposed to be 54.00 total. The bill is 118. And change. I call u-Haul, I explain the situation to the woman on the phone I am told that I was charged a $40 fee for bringing the truck back on E! I was charged an additional fee for going over on the miles. I was never told that I had a mileage limit and when I told her that she said that the gas station guy said I said 15 miles. WTH? No. Nothing was discussed. Thankfully because I took A picture of the gas gauge when I first picked up the truck they were able to refund that $40 however she refused to return the over mileage money. This was the worst experience I've ever had and I am a really positive person so that is saying a lot! I was literally in tears at the first location only to get over charged at the second location. Not cool.

The 20 foot that I reserved being double booked was kinda a bummer but the staff definitely took care of me. Plus it was an incredibly fast experience compared to other uhaul locations I've rented from. Will be back if I need another rental

The process of picking up the truck and dropping it back off, after being done, went faster and more efficiently, time-wise, than any other U-Haul location I have ever been at.

Truck was filthy. Cab had soda all over seats cupholders full of soda/cigarette butts. Truck had been smoked in. Bed had sand/dirt all over. Fuel was left with 44miles till empty. Counter person was nice friendly and quick.

When we showed up to return the truck attendant just took the keys and didn't tell us to return it online through via phone. Just said it's done all online. So I looked up to return truck got clear directions, but had I not we would of return the truck, but kept accruing charges as if we didn't. When we picked up the truck was not Instructed just ask for license and given keys! Poor communication, will never rent from them again!!!

Hi, I'm actually not happy because who rent me a truck was not aware of U-Haul instructions as well and he told me the amount you pay is approximately after you drop off the truck it's gonna be counted and see how much returns! But when I droped off the truck he told me system has to calculate and shows everything but I'm still waiting for calculation of my amount and nothing to hear! So I'm not happy at all.

Though the U-Haul is run through a Gas Station, my service experience was fantastic. The guy behind the Gas Station Counter knew exactly what needed to be done when asked. After returning the vehicle, my charges were correct. I even received a $40 plus credit for having more gas the tank. Just a warning for folks that haven't rented from U-Haul or rented a long time ago. 0. Even though this location is a U-Haul self check-In, you will need to see the gas station attendant. 1. Check in with the Gas Station attendant to pick up keys and rented items. 2. If you order any items, pick it up from the attendant. It's not in the truck. 3. They didn't have moving supplies like boxes and tape. Get some ahead of time from another U-Haul location. 4. The rentals aren't the cleanest but mechanically, they run great! 5. When you drop off, see the attendant and leave your keys with them including any rented equipment. Hopefully, your experience will be as good as mine was. Happy moving!

It is not clear why I was forced to return this to a location far from my home passing numerous closer U-Haul locations then get charged for going over my miles? Also the extra gas I had to add to get there. There's a tiny uhaul looking sign in a gas station, not a normal U-haul site.

I originally reserved the U-haul at the Rocklin store and it was an area that was not clearly displayed as a U-haul rental location. The vehicle was not there. Was told this happens frequently there. If so, then stop advertising as a destination to get your vehicle.

Vehicle fuel gas gauge didn't work. Then I was charged for fuel when the vehicle was towed away due to the passenger light falling out while I was driving. I had to move location due to my truck being Inop because of the catalytic converter being stolen. So I got charge for an extra day and mileage when it was not my fault that I had to pick up the truck 20 miles from my location. I will definitely look else where I my future rentals.

The man was polite but I felt he was overwhelmed with having to run a gas station and u haul at the same time. He wasn't able to show us the u haul truck properly, he was rushing because of other customers for his gas station. The cab of the truck rental itself was disgusting. It was dirty and dusty on the dashboard and floors. That means it hadn't been disinfected and cleaned, not very smart during this pandemic! It also smelled so strong of body odor. So strong, it gave me a headache for a bit. Next time, I'd be willing to go to another location and drive a few more miles to get a clean rental. Overall, I'm still thankful for u haul and their services.

The clerk at the gas station was extremely rude and short and offered no explanations. The truck was completely disgusting Nikki from top to bottom, it had a broken gas cap so the reading cannot possibly be accurate when your gas line is filled with air. The whole experience was ridiculous and I will never use that location again.

Charged me 2 days for the rental even though I picked up at 9:30 am and dropped it back off at 1. When we got they're, only 1 guys was they're. When we returned same guy. Once We received the charge the gentlemen stated we returned it a day later. He also charged me for 2 dolly even though I only got one and said I returned a day later. When I returned it I asked for a reciept and he said since it I did it on line I would receive an email. I suggest you just go to a U-Haul storage place for the future. The U-Haul smelt like smoke, had damage all over the body and the guy didn't even check miles out or in, and charged me for another 24hrs even though I rented for 3.5 hrs

Overcharged me for things I did not choose, said I returned the truck the day after even tho I had it for TWO hours and returned the same day. Said the gas was missing. So was charged extra for a bunch of things I didn't do/ want. Then called customer service waited on hold for 45 mins to be told I needed to wait for a supervisor to call. They never called. Terrible all around.
