waniya bBeing told I had to get insurance was the first issue. Not true. Equipment was not cleaned. This uhaul location is of secondary importance to this fellow. Tough location to navigate. Narrow driveway.
Francis LI've made this comment before, but no one was around (between 2 and 3PM) to address technical issues with dropping off the equipment. After the end of the rental, I also noticed the clerk added options to my rental that I had previously declined, in particular the safe move insurance. I didn't notice when I used the link to check out the truck, but it ended up on my final invoice. I had specifically declined the safe move option when I made the reservation, so it seems unfair (and borderline a scam) that the clerk added this charge back on.
Nico WJason the area manager changed us to a location for mobile pick up and it was a terrible /poor experience . Not to the fault of the facility , but the U-Haul site . Once I logged in, took us 30 min+ and dozens of attempt to “start pick up” . Website not working . No customer support to help. I never booked a facility that isn’t open during our pick up time for this reason and will NEVER be set up to fail like that again. We were over 90 mins late to our other vendors /moving schedule . DARBY HThe store owner was 20 minutes late to open the location and didn't seem to care. He also shorted the number of pads in the truck. The truck was dirty: old food wrappers and broken glass fragments in the door. I would avoid this rental location.
CHRIS HAuthorized dealer computer system was slow and would get stuck, they had to reboot their system several times to get our paperwork in order. It took way to long to get checked outta there.

Adam ESpecifying the location of pickup was a mess. I was told to go to Belmont. Then back to San Mateo. This was just for the truck. I had to call customer service several times to confirm the definitive location for the truck pick up. Perhaps a web portal or up to date notifications would've simplified things for my experience.

Oleksandr SPicked up a 15ft Uhaul truck on 10/5/22. Reservation number: 20187824. On the drive to Sacramento from San Mateo, it became apparent that air conditioning was not working. Also the gas tank was half full. We left it with the Uhaul dealer in Sacramento with the same amount of gasoline. Nancy
Clifford EFucking clean your truck!! You guys charged my $25 to clean a truck which I drove for 4miles. The truck wasn't cleaned to start with. It had a dozen blankets in it when I picked up. Pathetic!!! Never using this!!

CHOWYU ZNo dollies were in the truck. Also only utility dolly was availbale and no furniture dolly, even i ordered both of them.
Dmitry MThere are hidden charges which are VERY UNACCEPTABLE… we rented a $19.95 uhaul + tax + mileage of around $25-30 worth, totalling to maybe $60++. Apparently, they charge my credit card more than double the amount, THAT’s NOT RIGHT! We are disputing this charge. Please don’t do this to others, you will loose your customers!!!
Mariamaylene SI had reserved moving blankets but these were not in the truck when I picked it up (self pick up during weekend). This created a lot of hassle for me. Messed up my whole moving plans. Some furniture got damaged because I did not have sufficient protection. Also, I've rented Uhaul many times in the past. But this truck was not as clean as Uhaul trucks in the past have been. This was not an issue for me though. It's just a general observation.
Aurangzeb MNo furniture pads in truck as ordered. I had to go to another Uhaul location to pickup pads and had to open a new contract and pay another fee. I then had to go back to Auto Experts and get a refund. Truck was filthy. I had to wash all windows and mirrors and sanitize inside.

Caleb NThis has nothing to do with the location, the gentleman there was fantastic and very helpful. However, I am extremely pissed off that the CDW coverage was added to my contract despite me EXPLICITLY DECLINING this coverage. My rental cost me twice what was originally expected and UHAUL will forever lose my business for pulling this move.
