Price ended up being outrageously expensive for what i used it for. Ended up $102 for 24 hours with minimal driving. The rental place asked for references to check if it was me and called my work to check if its me.Roger W.

I could not believe the terrible MPG on the 15' Uhaul truck. It was a local move and I only put 15 miles on the Truck. When I filled it up I put in over five gallons of gas, that's less than 3 MPG. My 31' Motor home gets 8 MPG. Location was good, truck was clean. Just terrible MPGMark S.

Use a representative that is honest. My friend contacted the rep and told him we would need the uhaul truck on Saturday. He works on the other side of the city where we live and asked me to go in and pay on Friday, pick up the key.. that sort of thing. It was clear we would pick up the truck early Saturday morning. When I spoke with your representative he made sure to show me how to use the code for early morning (Saturday) pick up, etc. I didn't realize the rep started the time of use as the time I paid, which was Friday. He called during the packing time and said he would generously give us another day, ( at which time we only had the truck for 5 or so hours) however I had a complaint about the gas level being low when we picked it up. He berated me over the phone and interrupted anything I was saying and responded by saying "fine, I'll charge you another day" and hung up on me". Of course... this was very unpleasant. He is dishonest and it concerns me that he has my information. I do hope u-haul will call me asap. My credit card charges have not shown up yet and I am concerned.LEAH S.

How to improve: Show up on time. Know the codes to get into the gate. Know how to unlock the locks. Know how to turn on a computer. Know how to use the UHaul software. Don't have management be inaccessible, even on vacation. Have the amount of gas in the truck be accurate.Aarick C.

I reserved a 15 ft. truck like my previous rental. I received a 14 ft. older model instead. The over the cab storage was smaller and the attached hand truck and bag of moving blankets were in the way and people kept bumping into them. Won't rent again, there's too much discrepancy.Becky B.
I ordered a truck from Vernonia one week in advance. Confirmation was given at that time. Upon moving day I arrived in Vernonia, where I live, to pick up the confirmed truck. To my confusion there was NO truck available. The Uhaul employee told me I would need to pick up my truck in Forest Grove. I reminded her I had confirmation for the Vernonia location. She insisted someone from UHaul had phoned me with this change. I said NO PHONE CALL was received. She then sent me to the wrong Forest Grove Uhaul , I eventually found the right place, clear across town from where I was originally sent. Then I was also told I would need to return the truck there rather than in Vernonia where I live. Extra mileage and expense was necassary to complete my move which I had not planned on. The overall experience was very disappointing, especially since no one at UHaul seemed to care. I plan on contacting the Vernonia UHaul manager with my complaints. I have used UHaul for many moves over many years. I'm Not sure I will continue to use UHaul in the future. your software to rent a simple appliance dolly is absurd, it took 15+ minutes to reserve a $10/day item that was going to be used for 5 minutes. You need to make life less painful for customers on simple transactions. I get it for a large and expensive truck, but not for a simple piece of equipment that is not drivable. I only rented because my friend who owns one is 20 minutes away, I probably should have just used his because those 20 minutes probably ended up being less than the time it took me to rent and return your equipment.Justin N.
