Office dirty and unorganized. Language barrier, product was not at location,. Website is difficult to negotiate, therefore deposit is not received yet. Tried calling several times for questions but employee was not helpful.

Tires were bald even though I was driving on highways in the winter through the snow, there was a check engine light when I got the truck, truck was dirty and smelt bad inside. Had to clean out before I could use and drive 11 hours in it.

Victor BLots to say about this whole experience actually! 1. I made the reservation for the tow dolly for the car and a 10x8 trailer 2. Arrangement was to pick up on Sunday the 21 January 3. The guy from U-Haul calls me to say he can give me the rental for the trailer from one location but that I have to go to another location to get the two dolly. 4. Then another guy calls me from BMG to say he has both but that I have to take a 15 foot and pay the extra. 5. I told him no and that I reserved the 10 foot and that I don’t want to pay the difference plus it is heavier and I don’t want to pay extra for gas. 6. He said there is no 10 footer anywhere in Vancouver even though that’s what I reserved. And very well he will keep the price the same. 7. He said he can give me both but it has to be today that I pick it up because he is not open on Sunday. 8. I told him I’m in Montreal and would not arrive until 11, I asked him if I can send my son to do paperwork for me and he can give us the keys and I will come Sunday to pick up. He agreed. 9. I told him I have never mounted a car on the dolly and can he show my son how to do it so we are able to do it. He said there are pictures on it. 10. He never showed my son anything, plus when I picked up the trailer was dirty in the cabin and the two dolly was covered in sand and dirt. The picture on it with instructions was warn off and unreadable. Without a doubt I have spent more money on gas then if I would have received what I actually rented the 10 foot. As my travel was Vancouver to Calgary I was very disappointed in this whole process.
Hiba EI had hoped for more options closer to my home address. Despite this, I was able to get the truck that I needed when I needed it. It was snowing and difficult conditions on the day of pick up. The truck was running, cleared of snow, and pulled out of the spot for me when I needed the truck. People were polite and efficient.
Lauren PUhaul says it guarantees the equipment is there for my order. It was not. This is a huge inconvenience and I will never use uhaul again. What's the purpose of booking with uhaul if everything about your request will be changed and equipment missing from the order?
DORIAN CIt was really hard to tell what sort of damage would be considered worth marking, and the vehicle had a lot of dirt and grime in the cab. It was really hard document everything with the vehicle, there was a lot of sediment buildup, it looked kind of like concrete, around the vehicle skirt, so it was difficult to tell what was damage, and what was just crud. There was also a lot of salt residue on the mats. It was just a weird one.

brennan RThe atmosphere at the drop off location was not very friendly, it seemed like they aren’t into customer service so the uhaul rental seems like an afterthought to their main business. With that said, it was in huge contrast compared to the stellar pick up location but they got things done. The yard was littered against the fence and it’s a small section in front of the business. Passable but not a good experience.

Janine JHard to find. There is a gate that you have to hope the mechanic beside it is around to open it. If you phone U-Haul to have the gate opened, you get the general phone line and have to wait. Luckily the mechanic was around and opened the gate for me and I walked the rest of the 100 metres to Unit 207

Tonny M1) BMG Manager at site did not offer any help after I explained all of the trouble we had with the truck. He did not appear to care at all and could not wait for me to leave. Even the BMG truck staff had trouble trying to unlock the steering before moving the truck. What a joke.
Christian LThe location felt a bit sketchy. We were not told about the Required gas refill before dropping the uhaul off. The location is not easily accessible as there is an iron gate that needs to opened to get access. We had to call a number that was located on a small sign adjacent to the gate to get it opened. Customer service was lacking and we felt as though we were inconveniencing the guy running the place.

John KThere was no parking space for my car when I came to pick up the car. The payment is done from my account but now I still have not received the receipt by email.
HONG NThere were frequent text messages (4) changing the location for the pick up. A phone call from U haul telling me exactly where it actually was, especially when I had to travel 4 hours at great expense to pick up this unit, would have been helpful.

Mark DYou've been in business long enough, its 2023 you should be able to figure out where your vehicles are at all times. If I order something months in advance and you dont have the stuff I order when I come to pick it up, thats on you. Customer service should be your number priority, and its clearly not.

Henry OFraudsters! It was my worst experience with U-haul. I drove 5 miles but they charged me for 25 miles. Be sure to take pictures of the existing damage, mileage, and fuel level, otherwise, you will be deceived. They are cammers. Recommend everyone to stay away from this place

SHANNON EThe engine light was on the whole trip. When I noticed it and went back to ask the guy who had done the paperwork, what the problem was or to see if they had a different truck, he said that it is a common problem with the gas tank and no need to worry, but I can always call the toll free number if there was anything wrong with it and they will help me. And when I asked him if there was a drop off place closer to our final destination, he said I could drop it off at whatever location I wanted. But the online return website said I had to be at the location that the guy had put as the drop off, so we had to drive an extra 20 min to drop it off. But the secondary worker in the shop was super helpful and when we asked for a rag to wipe the side mirrors with, because they had tons of dirt on them, he went above and beyond and washed the windshield as well as it was covered with bugs! Super nice guy!

kevin hThere was a lock on the trailer that they didn't know was there and didn't have a key for. The only way they knew about the lock was that I told them it was there. They obviously had not checked their equipment when it was dropped off by the previous customer.
Graham WProcess unclear. Just a small 'UHaul' sign on the entrance doorway. UHaul could improve the process for customers by being more clear about what a rental being picked up by an authorized partner entails.

Lorri WWas very hard location to find. Office person was not able to communicate with me due to language barrier and not proficient at computer skills. Took a long time to finally get my rental truck. Had to wait while a person put in fuel from a 5 gallon Jerry can.
Victor SOur 20ft reserved (prepaid) truck was not there. We were told a day before our move, extremely late into the day that they didn’t have a truck for us. After being on hold for 3-4 hours, they found us a 10ft one at the same location we reserved the 20ft one. In those 3-4 hours in support, we were cold transferred to numerous locations. Even to completely different provinces. Because of the much smaller truck, we had to make multiple trips, which made the fact we hired movers (through uhaul), more stressful, since we’d only get them for the first trip. The location we picked up the truck at did not have all the requested moving tools (no utility dolly). We were also told they’d give us a discount to make up for all the extra commute. Apparently we were going to get a 50% discount on km driven, but we’re charged full price. All and all, I’d make sure you have backup options if you requested a u-haul. You’ll need them.
Lukis KI did not know I need to use my cell to take a pic of my license and upload in front of store manager. Signal was weak and no wi-fi in the office. No nearby parking. the passage into this industry complex was narrow and often block by big container truck loading and unloading.
Sampson HPeople have a lot riding on reserving a Uhaul truck for moving. There was a lot of planning that goes into moving. To get a call the day before you are renting a truck to be told that there isn't a truck available is not good. Because of this I would be hesitant to recommend uhaul to anyone.

Izabella CVery busy street area to get out of but just make sure you allow extra time. They do not check the vehicles properly, mine was supposed to have no damage and there was a fair size dent in the front roof corner I took photo's of the whole truck outside so presented to drop off location. Gas was supposedly 1/4 full it was possibly an 1/8th of a tank but again I took photos of dash and fuel mileage etc. Otherwise it was ok at pick up location.

But when I reached at location the owner has nothing as requested. This is bullshit service and never will use your service and will also spread negative word of mouth about u-haul co and services

Kai KThis place is not accessible for after hour drop offs, even though the text from U-Haul says it is. We were not told anything so we went to drop off the truck. A rude guy ran in front of the truck, and didn't let us enter. Had to figure out what to do with the truck overnight and also refill it at these fuel prices. The next day, I was trying to tell the person who took the keys to install a box outside so that we can drop off after hours. He just kept saying no and at the end he said that he will put our name on a list to not rent there. Whatever that meant. It's weird because they seemed like reasonable people.
