Joseph KThe 9x12 trailer was situated on an uphill incline. The guy in the gas station was standing behind a counter where people pay for gas, he had inventory for the store all over the floor, obviously waiting to be put on shelves. He never came out to help me bring lift the trailer and bring it to level where I could attach it to my hitch. He never came out to see if the lights were working! The entire right side was out which included the right side brakes blinkers and running lights. Thankfully but unfortunately for her I had my granddaughter with me, who I was moving to Indiana. She was able to help me lift and move the trailer so I could hook it up. When WE checked the lights and saw they were out I said lets go to Smithtown U-Haul and see if they can help because they at least know what they are doing and what is going on. The Rocky Point location is only good for collecting the money. Very poor set up. I'm very surprised at U-Haul. I've used your equipment quite a few times over the years and have never seen a monkey operation like this before!! Would not recommend this pick up or drop off location for any of my family or friends because they obviously don't check the equipment when it is returned either. If they did it would have been all ready and good to go for me. Thanks for asking!!

Peter RFirst pick up location was changed and switched to BP Gas Rocky Point, NY. (631) 378-5456. That is 'not' a correct phone number. They did not have the hand truck we had ordered and it took way too long because the representative was doing all of their check out work on a cell phone.
Eugene DThe guy at the gas station counter had no clue how to check me in or take payment for the order. It took about an hour and a half from when I got there at my reservation time until I got the van rented. I had two calls with customer service, trying to convert the order over to a truck share order, which didn't go through properly. I only got things to work out because I was waiting for a call back from customer service and went back into the gas station. There had been a shift change, and a guy who actually knew the process was at the counter. He finally got me checked in without issue. Again, it was an hour and a half from when I got there. Complete pain in the ass and a waste of time. It should not be this difficult.
Nathaniel SThe attendant at this location knew nothing about UHaul drop off. I called the location and was told that the location was not a registered UHaul site yet. I called UHaul and they confirmed that it was a real UHAUL drop off site. UHaul needs to get their act together. It also took me a very long time to get through to a live person at UHaul. This is poor customer service. I was very disappointed.
