The staff should inspect the vehicles when they are returned! The vent on the dash did not function, the wipers worked but need to be replaced. Customers rent units hoping they have been inspected.Victor T.

The first trailer my husband hooked up to had very worn tires. He didn't realize that until he brought it home so he went back to Uhaul & they agreed & gave him a different trailer. My husband said the trailer he first hooked up to was off by itself & now he knows why. He just picked the wrong trailer. They were very good about changing the trailer!!Roger G.

I was quoted $19.95 for the rental for the 15 ft Uhaul do to unforseen circumstances and .10 cent less per mile. Neither was honored by Badlands. The truck bed was dirty. U haul is a good company, just not this subsidiary.David S.

Do not offer an early pickup and then provide a filthy Uhaul, especially during a pandemic. The inside had to be cleaned before we could even begin to load for our move. Old food wrappers, 6 month old contracts from previous renters, and layers of dirt in the interior cab.MARC F.
Wanted to pick up truck at 7AM where I booked truck from other place where I was sent to did not open until 8AM put me an hour behind. The place where I booked close at 7PM and this place closed at 5PM so I had to get extra help getting started hour late and get done 2 hours earlier then planning. The truck was clean but it is old and age is beginning to cause minor issues. For example, after the parking brake was released the brake alarm stayed on. But overall I had a very good experience.DENNIS F.

The place where I dropped the truck off was a repair shop that is a rental place, have to access the location through the Dollar General parking lot and there was no noticeable signage saying it was a U-Haul rental place.THOMAS D.

We contacted multiple U-Haul locations and the woman who helped us at the St. Patrick Street location in Rapid City SD was by far the most knowledgeable and helpful in meeting our needs. She was wonderful to work with and assured us that we would have what we needed when we needed it and we did.LANA H.

The u-haul app is not user friendly. I spent 20 minutes taking pics of the fuel gauge and odometer. Never did get it to work. Finally gave up and put keys in the drop box and locked the truck and left it there.MARK T.

This is a garage/motor sports repair place. Parking area is not paved. I returned 2 PM Saturday and place was closed. After hours number didn't work. I tried the UHaul online return site but the "location" feature wouldn't let me continue. I called them this AM Monday, the phone was answered promptly and return was accepted. I forgot to tell them of the slow leak one one tire but called back an hour later. When I told them about the leak, attendant said, "This was on the 12 foot I just sent out again?" I said "I didn't see another on you lot when I returned mine, so must be. ". Again, reason to have locations check tire pressures.William W.

I was sent to the Deadwood Avenue location. The Deadwood Avenue location had no pickup trucks so sent me to Badlands Motorsport which had no pickup trucks either but had a 10' truck which was filled with dog hair, empty and spilled drinks. The gentleman wiped it out and even loaned me his phone charger. When I went to pick up my load, they were unable to load a covered truck with one entry point (which is why I ordered a pickup). I returned the truck immediately, & was still charged a full day and mileage. I want my money back. This was ridiculous. Both my husband and son lost school and work time as a result of the runaround.MICHELLE T.

Fees for returning after hours are ridiculous. I paid $20 to put the key in a box. There is no logical reason for that. Also you advertise .19 cents a mile but it's actually $1.09 a mile. When I reserved the truck, I was quoted over $50. I ended up paying over $140 for the truck, 40 miles. The location where I rented the truck was fine- no issues there. I'd never recommend uhaul again simply for the ridiculous fees.Kenneth A.

East St Pat put down the wrong gas indicator so we were charged for their mistake. Thank God my husband gook pictures of the gas indicator. That was a mistake they made that almost cost us nearly 130.00 dollars.Byron R.

Trailer wasn't ready at appointment time. Staff didn't understand the technology to check me in. Got the trailer home, found it was full of moving blankets and appliance dollys. Had to return to have them unloaded. Entire process was frustrating.william A.
