Two out of the four tires were bald, on the newer tire the wheel had a bulged on it. So I had to drive 546km going 80 the whole way.

Not sure how to correct this but was told that I went 800 kms over allowed mileage. After the shock wore off a bit I was told that that was just how it was. Got a 1-800 number from the gal there who could have been nicer but likely hears that all the time, and from then on everyone I dealt with was very nice. It was frustrating to be accused of something that was proven to be impossible and it really took too long to get it sorted out. I never did get a call back but I had to call them. Other than that it all worked out.

It was hard to get into and out of the pick up location. The staff member was great. One concern was that the truck wandered alot, even though it was a newer model. The staff at the drop off location in Saskatoon were excellent. I received a ride and advised them that the truck was stuck in traffic and they stayed open late for us to bring it back.

Regenisis was the only pleasent part of my moving experience. After booking on January 3rd only to have your call center let me know on the Jan 28th at 8:30am that my truck was not available and they would do nothing to help me out. I was ready to give up. I had to do my own digging to find a truck that was suitable for my move and ended up having to pay more and get a larger truck than I needed. Eventually when it came time to get my truck on the 29th, the said truck was never dropped off. dave made arrangements to have a truck broguht over from another branch, and stayed late to make sure that I got the truck and was on my way. When we had to return the truck the branch was closed. We tried tog et ahold of another two branches that were open about where to drop the 26ft truck and no one at either branch was willing to help us out. I can't believe the poor customer service that I had received in person and on the phone until I had met with Dave.

Our uhaul experience was more affected by the local weather due to the Artic Air snow storm that just happened to occur that particular day. The weather was so bad, that after driving it to the uhaul storage place located close by, we got stuck in the snow in the storage parking lot. The lady at the Hazelwood location helped us to get 'unstuck' and we immediately returned the uhaul truck to the Regenesis location. Total amount of rental time was just over an hour. If the lady at the desk at the Regenesis location was more involved or interested in the customer's experience, she may have offered me the 800 number to call to see if anything could have been done to compensate or satisfy my uhaul experience. I did have the uhaul customer service number, talked to Houda, and she was able to compensate me for inability to use the uhaul truck due to the poor weather conditions.

I don't know why you can't have your vehicles filled up with fuel when a customer picks them up, then have the customer fill them up when they are dropped off. Makes it so much easier for the customer to fill it up, rather than have to guess how much fuel is needed to get it back to where it was when it is picked up.

The online booking system seems to be incongruent with the office practices. We booked online and were told both in email confirmations and verbally over the phone that we had a booking from 9am to 7pm. However, when my husband picked the truck up we were told to have it back in 4 hours. Confused, I called when my husband arrived and told me this. I was then told at start of the month bookings are for 6 hours only. basically the store tries to multiple use the trucks in a single day to increase revenue, but even in our case they didn't hold to this "6 hour" rule. While I understand the desire to multi use the trucks in a single day this must be communicated upon booking. we were under added pressure to accommodate a mistake that was made by UHaul. And we were not offered any compensation for the error. i'm not sure if we would use this company again, but if we did we would definitely not use the online booking system. this is our second time and there were other mistakes with our previous booking.

I found the service at peardonville road excellent. Three Peple assisted me in getting things ready. During this stressful moving event I can only say it was a complete pleasure doing business with the lady in the office the mechanic and the manager?....however ....with regard to the gentleman who took my face to face order in Chilliwack. He was curt aggressive and gave me false information. He grossly overcharged me. He promised me a pick up time of 8 am in Chilliwack and didn't even bother to call me back and apologize for causing me to travel from Agassiz to abbotsford. I work for a multi million dollar customer based corporation....if he worked for me I'd fire him so fast. I will never use the service you provide in Chilliwack but applaud the staff you have at your abbotsford location Thanks

I had reserved this unit for pickup in Chilliwack and was not pleased when I went to pick it up I found out I had to travel to Abbotsford to get it. They said a message was left regarding this, we had already left home, on our return home the message made no mention of picking up at a different location. The locations are not what you should be surveying but your booking and communication system should be reviewed.

Make sure the trailers are all sealed as we had damage to our old teak furniture and other wood items and personal things and new baby items, list goes on and on. Very dissapointing and are trying the find the right avenue to report this. Again all vehicles should be checked so this does not happen to another customer

I have moved numerous times over the years and have used U-Haul almost everytime and this has been my best experience yet. I arrived 10 minutes before they opened and they opened there doors and had me out and on the road before 8am. The customer Service was great and I will be reccomending this specific location to anyone I know that requires a truck or trailer. Thanks again for making my move a succeful one!

1. Truck had not been swept out at time of rental. One quick push with a broom is all it got from the personnel. 2. Gas tank said less than 1/4 tank when sitting in the drivers seat...had already signed contract and I think the personnel had looked at the fuel gauge from outside the truck which meant a poor angle to view the actual level of fuel. You can improve this by using a "full tank" policy. Take it full, return it full...pretty simple. Every other vehicle rental I've had operates this way and it makes it fair for everyone. If I get the truck with 1/4 tank and fill it up, but only use 1/2 a tank, then the next person starts with half a tank, 1/4 of which I paid for and never used...that's not fair. This is something u-haul should change as a standard practice in my opinion. It means the person renting the truck isn't inconvenienced by having to go to the gas station right after they rent the truck as well. As far as the fuel surchages and the like, it seems that u-haul is more than willing to charge these to customers, but unlikely to follow through with them. For example, if I bring a truck back with 1/8 less a tank then what I took it out with, then u-haul will charge me for a guesstimated amount of fuel plus a $30 surcharge to "top it up." I doubt this ever happens. 3. Rural charges. I rented a truck from Prince Rupert BC to Abbotsford BC four years ago. It cost me $800. It was about a 1600km trip. It took us five days of packing, driving, unpacking. This time we moved from Abbotsford to Lake Cowichan. 160km trip. It took us four days of packing, driving, unpacking. This cost me $500 up front, then another $70 because of a one day late fee, extra km's and insurance. I travelled a tenth the distance with your vehicle than I did four years ago and in total I paid about 70% of the same amount...go figure! Yes, I realize that because it's rural you may not rent it out for a month and it will sit there, I get that. But that cost should be rolled into a general cost and everyone should pay for it. I had to take a ferry as well, which actually made the cost of moving a tenth of the distance about the same as four years ago. You should have a daily rate for each vehicle and km's used...period. If someone is moving to a rural town then they should not be penalized for it. Yes, U-haul still remains the cheapest one-way alternative, but please consider looking at some of the policies. Perhaps U-haul should consider applying for the tv show, "Undercover Boss" as a renter/mover and see what it feels like to be a customer?

Check the location is actually open at the time you want to book the vehicle! The U-Haul website allowed me to make an 8AM reservation even though the location didn't open until 9AM. Having pre-booked via the U-Haul website a month prior, it still took 45mins before I left the rental location with the rental vehicle. This was due in part to there being 2 other customers before me. A 9:45AM departure for an 8AM booking made for a frustrating start to the day. However, the staff were as helpful as they could be and the vehicle itself was in good working order, with the day ending better than it had begun. I would recommend this location on the strength of the staff - just check the opening hours ahead of time and don't trust what your U-Haul reservation says without speaking to someone at the location to confirm.

The truck I rented was in rough shape. It was definately not 'a gentle ride'. Plus, their was some iginition and emergency break issues. The location and employees were great, but I was quite disappointed with the condition of the truck

The truck was clean, but smelled of smoke and mould. The Bench Seat would not adjust well enough for me to drive comfortably and the truck only got 1L/1km. Very poor fuel mileage is typically due to poor maintenance.

When a person requests equipment at a certain location that is what is expected. I had to pay $30 in fuel to drive the extra distance to get my equipment. Again not happy nor impressed.
