I picked up my U-Haul and it had just over a half tank of gas in it. I replaced the same amount of gas and got charged. She said when we picked it up it should be between 3/4 and 7/8 and it was not. Second terrible experience with uhaul and we will NOT be using you again.GRANT THOMAS M.

Your mobile website doesn't work, it took me 15 minutes to get checked-in due to various pages not unloading, it's inability to verify location, etc. The 26ft truck was blocked in when I arrived to pickup. Parked in a spot at the back of the parking lot, instead of an accessible location. I sat on hold for 25 minutes to change reservation to a truck that was accessible. Finally got into a 15ft truck. The 15ft forced me to take three trips instead of 1. Causing more miles but also, wasted labor costs having my guys commute an additional 45 minutes back and forth. between the time wasted to get a vehicle and the increased commute cost, this rental cost me an additional $125 in labor. Upon return, your mobile site wouldn't allow me to return the truck so I left it and locked the keys back in the box. Once again, sat on hold for an another 45 minutes only to hear that t was another 74 minute wait before a rep was available. I then used the online chat feature and was told that nothing could be done, I'd be charged an additional $20 for the location to check the truck in themselves.jeffrey W.

I had to go to three different places to get the trailer I had requested. U Haul automatically changed my request from a 5x8 to a 6x12. I was told each place I was sent to had what I wanted. They didn't until I got to the third place.JAMES M.
Both Barnum And Tenny's in Lansing and East Lansing were the absolute best and had amazing customer service. Todd in Lansing and Penny in East Lansing got me set up so I could tow my car the following morning after it broke down late at night. The truck was dangerous to drive. It rattled and bounced all over the road and it was all I could do to keep it on the road. The shocks are shot and the breaks made a very troubling noise when depressed. The first location we were going to rent from, on the morning of the rental, called to tell us they did not have a truck for us. We ended up going to another location which added about 20 miles to our trip. When I returned this dangerous truck, I told staff about the condition of the vehicle and their comment was, "we have been telling them about this for some time." Because of the change in rental locations, we were told we would get a $50 credit, but although we received our statement, there has been no credit granted to date.MICHAEL VERN B.

I haven't experienced good service here on both occasions now. This time it wasn't the person's fault, although he certainly wasn't very helpful. When I asked why I was getting the 20 foot truck he basically said because that's what I originally ordered, which was true. However, just one day prior I got an email that my order was changed and I was getting a 26 ft truck. He said "oh well" the truck you have is a 20 ft truck. Again not his fault, but I had cancelled a friend with a utility trailer to help with the move because of the switch to a 26 ft truck. Again, not a big deal, and the move went well and the truck was great. That's the most important thing!JOHN JOSEPH D.
Even though I had reserved a 15ft truck several weeks prior, I had no idea that did not guarantee there would be one available. It still showed I was to pick up a 15ft truck the day before at their other location about 15 miles away so I called and was told there was not a 15ft truck within 50miles. Customer service reps need to make it clear that reserved equipment is NOT guaranteed. Also, the website/app should not show a reservation is available when it is not,CRAIG ARTHUR K.

The woman who handled my rental was wonderful. I have rented probably 20 U-Hauls over the years. Never has your rental and phone system been so horrible. I'm sure you are aware. Not sure what you are doing to keep your customers from seeking other options (vouchers for future rentals or something).John S.

My experience was very rushed.. only had 2 hours to fill truck and drive 55 miles.. drive back get gas and return truck.. moving is stressful enough ..Didn't need the added rushing around..I didn't appreciate the phone call that was trying to rush me more..The truck was returned on time..They said the problem was over booking on U- haul..Tina C.

When the U-Haul app did not work well at the pickup site, I had to have the employee at the site check me in instead of using the app. This site is not open on Saturdays and Sundays so that could be a problem for other people trying to check in on those days. I had no problem checking the van in when I returned, though. Overall I was very satisfied with the process.Patti T.

I had a pickup scheduled in Waterford. No one called me to tell me the truck wouldn't be ready. I'm from lansing and drove there and had to drive all the way back to lansing to get a truck. The Barnum and tenney people were great the Waterford people and the â€œmarketing companyâ€ there would rate zero stars. Said it was too late in the day to call me. Staff seemed baffled by the entire U-Box process. Minimal communication (none without my initiation). I don't blame the franchise location, given that the same issues arose with my pickup, I think you need to radically revise your U-Box procedures.Neal E.

Did online reservation a week in advance for trailer. Had confirmation number. Got to place to pick it up told they don't have any. Because no one called me from uhaul they didn't have any for me. Called uhaul corporate and the closest they had was two hours away. Their stupid online system should not take reservations if they don't have anything available. I was lucky this location had a small open trailer. I didn't have a choice so I had to take it. Took three trips to do the move.SORIN IULIAN F.
This location is fine but I will never rent from uhaul again. Waited 45 mins to pick up equipment bc I didn't know I would need a live person to be contacted to verify me and nobody answered. The CSRs who helped to were rude, slow to respond, and unhelpful. I couldn't reach a live CSR by phone bc wait times were so high. Luckily, I eventually found a friend who answered. It could have been much worse. This is the second consecutive awful experience I've had with uhaul. I the future I'll be using Penske even if it's more expensive. Uhaul is never worth the hassle. the truck was in bad shape. check engine came on, the steering is very loose. the gear shifter feels like it might come off. couldn't get it to go 70 on the highway without a lot of effort, or going downhill. interior wasn't clean.PATRICK FRANCIS C.
