I've been renting trailers and trucks from U-Haul for many years now and I've rented from U-Haul from many different locations and I have to say this U-Haul location was the worst U-Haul experience I've ever had. The man running the location was as rude as they come. I had scheduled my rental for 3:30 pm and I arrived at the location at about 3:10 pm. The location was so nasty and dirty and looks nothing like any U-Haul location I've even been in, so when I went in I asked the man if this was where I pick up my U-Haul rental and he said, â€œYesâ€. He then threw his coat on and said, â€œBut you're out of luck, I'm leaving in 5 minutes and don't have time. He then said, â€œWhat do you want anyway?â€ I told him that I had an order number and a reservation for 3:30 and he said, â€œNo, you don'tâ€, I don't have any reservations.â€ I said I have the emails and order confirmation on my phone and he said wait a minute and let me go look. He then walks around the corner to what appears to be a closet with a computer in it and said, â€œWell come around the corner and come in here so I can see youâ€ He said, â€œWell when I came in this morning, there was no reservationsâ€ But then he found my reservation and was pretty rude during the entire transaction. He wasn't happy that he had to deal with getting the trailer and dolly for me. I live 5 minutes from this location, but will drive 15 minutes to the next closest U-Haul so I never have to return again. Either that, or I'll find a new rental company. I do have to say that when I contacted U-Haul about the experience they were quick to respond and apologized for the bad experience and I appreciated that.TIM B.

Easy to go online and set up an order. Great people in this pick up location. The only problem is the interior of the truck was not cleaned.IBRAHIMA T.
The location itself is a bare bones tow and repair shop, so it isn't much to brag about. The operator, however, is honest and fair. Don't mess with him and he won't mess with you. He's also very accommodating if called ahead with any adjustments needed that are in his control. Other than that, U-Haul makes the rental and return process pretty easy if you use the app.Roger A.
The old man at Barrett's was not friendly nor helpful and made it seem like it was a burden for him to help complete the rental. I told him I did not receive my packing pads. I've called the uhaul number multiple times to be reimbursed for the pads.... poor service altogether.Luke L.

Clerk/Owner was rude and seemed very bothered that I was even there. The facility was cluttered and filthy. I got the same cold shoulder when I returned the equipment. CoVid infection rate is high in this area. Clerk did not wear a mask. The store was so cluttered that you could not keep a 6-foot distance. I will never use this location again. U-Haul should reconsider this as a renting location.Kimberly M.

The low tire light was on the entire trip. clerk said he did not have time to replace the sensor ,but told me the tire was just fine. I just had to take his word that the tire was fine. it was annoying that it would not go away for the entire 1200 mile trip.chris A.

This entire rental was a fiasco, but was more of a reflection on U-Haul and their reservation process than Barrett's, the service provider. I made a reservation for Saturday, August 15th for a 10-foot truck, renting from the BP Gas Station less than a Mike from my home. I received a confirmation the same day of my reservation with the correct details. Two days before my rental, I received an email indicating that I would now need to pick up the 10- foot truck in Lebanon at Barrett's, which was an additional 5 miles away. The day of my rental at the contracted time, I arrived at Barrett's for my rental. There was no 10-foot truck waiting for me. After checking in with the station employee, he indicated that â€œthey had changed me to a 15-foot truck and were giving me the same price, so it's not a problem. I didn't RENT a 15-foot truck, because I didn't want or need one that size, and was already wary about getting ANY truck into the small parking lot to where my daughter was moving. Having no other option and needing to move that day, I took the larger truck, which was harder to maneuver and used more gas, increasing my costs.. If you do not have equipment to rent, don't send a confirmation indicating that you do. And further, do not change equipment and pick-up location without confirming with the customer. This was very much a bait and switch and a reflection of poor business practices. I will not rent from U-Haul again.Ross H.

The guy was extremely rude! Rented me a dirty uhaul, then you guys charged me $25 for a cleaning fee! Absolutely ridiculous. I already filed a BBB complaint. Awful! Would never recommend!Kassie F.
Worker was extremely rude. Did not want to attend because he said he was busy doing a test. Told me I had to wait 30 minutes to get the vehicle. Afterwards when he was done with whatever he was doing he wouldn't give me the key but would not tell me why. I showed him the email with the confirmation but he wouldn't give me the key or he wouldn't tell me why. I called the customer service number again to understand what is going on. All he had to do was ask for my credit card. He tried to kicked me out of a super dirty and nasty place saying that didn't want to deal with me. Started yelling at my brother as well. My initial reservation was Beechmont before bumped 30 minutes away to mason. I went to Beechmont. The sales associate was incredibly rude. Wouldn't even let me spit out a sentence without biting my head off interrupting. I remained calm and collected but that shouldn't be a face used to help represent uhaul.Mark F.
The truck I reserved was not available at the Lebanon Ohio Ace Hardware. So they sent me to this the Marathon Station. The man there was nice but totally overwhelmed. He gave me a nice truck but the file gage was empty. The U-Haul totally messed up my bill. They did not give me the $50 credit I was supposed to get and they charged me for gas when I left a 1/4 tank more in it than when I took it.Barry W.

This experience could not have been any easier. I pass Barrett's daily on my way to and from work. When I needed to move a refrigerator, I thought about renting a truck. Then I saw the 5x9 trailer with a built in ramp. I called, he said come on down. This guy was super nice and personable. In a few minutes, I was pulling away. The next day I dropped it off, we chatted for a minute and I was out of there. He was just as nice that day, as the first. The trailer was a back saver too. My help ditched out on me, but I was able to roll the fridge on and off with no problems, with a dolly of course. There were plenty of tie downs so I felt it was safe for the whole ride. This place was a pit. The guys running it were rude, impatient and almost computer illiterate. I was redirected there by U-Haul because of equipment one way availability . I think they must have a dial-up modem or something. They were bitching and moaning about the U-haul website and at one point said they were going to just close up shop and go home..... and I had everything done ahead of time! TerriblePatrick S.
