Couldn't drop off at the original location, 3344 Eisenhauer Rd, San Antonio, TX 78218, because the gate was closed and we can't have a truck at our apartment complex past a certain time. Had to drive to second location and drop off. We had to put an extra 2-3 miles in doing this. The second location at 1118 Harry Wurzbach Rd. was very welcoming, even though no one was there. We tried to park the Uhaul truck so that it would be efficient as possible for checking in. We walked around the building to find the drop box, which was hidden very well.

The cab had trash in it, I’m assuming from last renter. There was a dolly and moving blankets left in the back of the truck and agent told me not to worry about it. The truck had 3/8 tank of gas upon renting. I drove 15 miles round trip and did not haul anything, returned the truck 5 hrs after renting it. Agent told me he would check it in later. 2 hours later I get my bill, I was charged for the moving blankets, and 3 gallons of fuel. I purchased the insurance coverage and the agent told me there was no need to notate the damage to the truck that was there before renting it. Uhaul customer service offered to refund a portion of the rental fee that I felt was unjust. I did not accept the refund, I just wanted to document this because if someone would be dishonest over a few dollars, then what else are they capable of!

Twice the gas level was erroneously reported. So, I was charged an extra fee even though I returned the truck with the EXACT amount of gas it had in it when I picked it up. There was just a little over a quarter of a tank! I called to talk to someone about this issue and the so called Manager "Steve" hung up the phone on me twice. He is unprofessional and idiotic! Again, I dealt with "Steve" who is supposed to be the manager at Bel Meade Auto on Harry Wurbach. He is the biggest jerk I have ever dealt with in my life! I have rented from U-Haul about 3 times just within the last two weeks and this was by far the WORST customer experience I've ever had dealing with U-Haul! These people should NEVER be allowed to rent these trucks to ANYONE as they have ZERO customer service skills and they will misrepresent existing fuel levels, etc. I will NEVER go to this place again and I highly recommend that you steer clear of it too!

The location was convenient. We dropped of the truck after hours and used the U-Haul website to return the vehicle. The only issue was, the key drop off box was hard to find and not clearly marked making it confusing to find where we should return the keys.

no signage for drop-off...we went in the wrong way and had to back the trailer out. the man working there ran out and told us to drive around to the next business and jump the curb to park the trailer. it worked out, but nothing was obvious.

Install landing legs on all trailers to make installation and removal easier. It is extremely frustrating and difficult when stopping in town to drop trailers quickly, without risk of injury to self or others.

I prefer this location over all the others I've used. Steve is super easy to deal with. Very accommodating and friendly. Trucks are always clean and well maintained. For pickup, I get in and out in under 10 minutes and can gas up right there at the location upon return. Excellent service!

Easy, quick, friendly, and helpful! Gas station on-site for easy refill. Steve is a pleasure to work with and repaired my car while it was there. I'll definitely rent here in the future.

I was not happy to hear that the manager would charge me $500 if I did not take the vehicle back to the exact same location. Also, I am confident that I returned the vehicle early (picked up Thursday at 2pm for a 2 day rental and returned it Saturday around 6 pm) and with as much or more gas than when I picked it up, however I was still charged another $27.82 without any notice or communication. Due to these factors I would not rent from this location again, and I will definitely check/double check details with the manager at my next rental, take pictures of mileage and gas gauge, etc.

This location was closed when I arrived. I had to leave the trailer and paperwork on their lot, trusting that it would not be stolen. UHaul should have a 24 hour phone number a customer can call to notify UHaul the date, time, and location the trailer/truck was dropped off.

I was overcharged and when I questioned it I was told "I just put in the information " really? I was not in a position to shop around and ended up paying $40 more then I was quoted.

Yeah charge too much for mileage and you're not made aware of the cost until afterwards regarding the $0.40 a mile and that's only if you leave a vehicle out of town which does not make sense when you're actually running the Uhaul to go out of town and to come back to the same town I don't comprehend or understand why y'all have that deal and don't mention it until afterwards regarding leaving the Uhaul out of town when you actually have to come back into the same time it's ridiculous and I think it's a scam

I rented the transport. There was no inspection and he sold be $40.00 worth of insurance. I bought it because I didn't feel comfortable pulling it from the start of walking into this place. I realized this what I got my vehicle loaded and was going to head out when I noticed the lights didn't work. I called Steve at the pick up location. He said to go to the U-Haul location on Austin Highway to see what the issue was. He didn't offer to help or even apologize. I took the transport to the location as advised. They looked it over and didn't see much wrong. I noticed a pinched wire for the brake/lights hook up. I told them I thought this would be the issue because it was not my truck. They went and got a replacement cable which worked.

Truck needed the Windows washed. Every thing else was good. The 0.89 per mile is high. I had no choice. You gotta move.

Although the computer system was down they checked out the equipment for me with a form, which was nice. Don’t remember his name but he was friendly but not too familiar with the tow dolly operation. So I just looked it up on U tube, that was helpful.

My brother rented a uhaul and auto transport and to start they charged his card instead of mine even though I made the reservation with my card. Secondly my brother told me that the people were very reluctant to help him hook his vehicle up to the auto transport even though I called in advance and a rep assured me they could help. Thirdly the brakes on the rental need to be checked. My brother was not able to ever come to a complete stop in the uhaul. Very unsafe for him and other drivers around him.
