I had a very bad experience with this location. Arrived to pick up truck and truck would not start. I was delayed 1.5hrs (waiting for someone to come boost truck) and did not received the trolley that I reserved. I left a vm for the store manager to call me back and she never did. Horrible experience to say the least.

the 20ft truck I specifically ordered and needed was out of battery and not of service, hence, I was forced to take the 10 ft truck which took me an extra trip and wasted an extra 1.5 hours to move everything i needed. The experience was not good and no compensation of any sort was even offered or discussed. Unacceptable

BAD weathe day-A/C did NOT work so it was difficult to clear the windshield. Blankets were open and on floor in back of truck Unopened can of coffee rolling around on floor of the cab. The box leaks so water got in before we loaded. Front nd needs work as truck shimmies when driven.

The one and only Uhaul person has guts to tell in the face of customer who arrived an hour ago but struggled with uhaul App to return truck, to wait an hour just to ask question because she got to go for lunch break. Unbelievable!

Your app was very difficult to navigate when I tried to change the primary driver and to extend my rental time. I had to call customer service, whereby one person was not helpful at all and requires significant interpersonal training. Another agent was helpful and patient to ensure everything was ok. Such a contrast. I was also on hold for a very long time on all three occasions and thus, lost 1.5 hours of my time. The app needs to be better organized to change drivers and extend rental times and therefore not need to call customer service.

Customer service was quite bad at this location. I chose in-person check-in for my Uhaul. I came into the office around my check-in time only to be told by the lady at the front that she was really busy and that I should check in online instead. It took about 10-15 min from the time I arrived to finish the check-in process because I spent most of it waiting for her to be available. The Uhaul itself was not cleaned from its last usage. There were leftover McDs bags and empty bottles lying around. It was clear no one had cleaned it at all. The van itself worked well enough but the entire experience wasn't great.

people there were not friendly. they wanted to charge me for two days of insurance when i was only renting for 24hrs. they were screaming across their desk at me and didn’t have the courtesy to get up to talk to me. when everything was done they just gave me the keys and didn’t even show me where the truck was. we would have though we were going to inspect it together but that was it. pretty sub par experience to pick it up. might as well been all self serve. it probably would have been a nicer experience.

I had ordered a 15 foot truck and was told a couple of days before that there wasn't one available in my area so I had to take a 10 ft truck - which wasn't large enough, so now I'll have to rent a another truck next weekend to complete my move (it was a one way move). Also, I had ordered a dolly, which they didn't have at this location, which meant more carrying of items for my movers.

Telephone Representative Quality and Customer Experience skills. Two out of three reps I spoke to during my entire process were extremely RUDE, NON CARING AND IMPOLITE while one was entirely different and an ideal experience a customer would want. Could be a better scale and training to ensure everyone provides that similar good experience!

I ordered the dolly with van rental, but there was no dolly in the car at all. I had called the hotline twice for it. The first time was told there one available on Scarborough location and the peoples at this location never called back even though I was asked phone number at the beginning of the conversation. The second time, I was told none available close to Toronto. Unfortunately, I was still charged with it.

I encountered a big issue, I couldn't find the vehicle I want to rent when I arrived at the spot. Luckily there is a person in the office even it's not the regular office hours. After asking him he told me the cargo van I rent is located on the other side of the parking lot. But nobody told me that in advance, eventually, I got my vehicle. I hope this does not happen anymore.

Reserved a 15 foot truck. When I showed up, it wasn’t available. And then they downgraded me to a 9 foot van which was actually fine. They had to re input my information again and when I got my final invoice, I did not want CDW coverage on the vehicle, yet it was still charged.

The location was close to home and that is the best that can be said. There was no one on site to assist and calling the uHaul support line had us waiting for over 65 minutes. What was supposed to be a super easy, user-friendly self-serve process was confusing, poorly explained, badly laid out and completely unintuitive. If I ever rent a Uhaul again, and that's a big if, I would only go to a place that offers in-person service.

Check-in instruction was very unclear. We had to call customer service multiple times to get the vehicles. The trolly ordered was not there when we finally get in. And a $15 waiver was added when we didn’t order. I had to call customer service to ensure that I didn’t get charged on that!

Terrible experience dealing with this branch. Below zero customer service 👎 Highly not recommended I had to wait 35 min to get the code to pick up the key. No one answered the phone! The worst thing when I came back at night to return the van, they put a chain at the entrance of the parking lot and locked the entrance! I had to wait an hour to get in and it was around midnight and my car was inside. Super negative experience. Never return to this location. Even I called their office to talk to a manager, I was promised to receive a call in an hour. After 48 hours still no one called me. 👎👎👎👎

The overall system booking process was terrible online. Uhaul should not allow customers to book vehicles at closed locations when the website states that the location is open. This location was chosen as my corrective action, the original location was a waste of 3 hours on my moving day. The uhaul app is also glitchy, slow, and doesnt work properly with full permissions to my phone open. Luckily google chrome worked to compete my online booking and pickup

The system is very slow and waste us much time. The vehicle is not clean, but later charged me $20 cleaning fee? come on, I just let it as the original status. I gave them the credit that a trust. But they just use my trust to aarbitrary charge.

Our location and time of pick up was changed a day before our move without our consent or acknowledgement. I didn't receive any voicemail but even if I did, we wouldn't have been able to change our scheduled moving elevator and were stuck rushing to complete our move into our new condo. Additionally, we had to drive out of the way to pick up and drop off our truck. Your customer service reps were not sympathetic and were not helpful in the situation (they just reinforced that there was nothing that could be done). This soured our whole moving experience and I will not be using uhaul again in any of our future moves.

I had selected IN PERSON PICKUP but it seems the pickup location is really geared towards ONLINE self service. U Haul did not advise me to download the U Haul app ahead of time, ensure mobile data is active, use the app to check in and out, retrieve and return the van keys from a lock box, etc. etc.

The location was hard to see from the street. It was horrible to find out that a few days before the pickup, our promised 20-foot vehicle was not available. What is the point of making a reservation, when it gets changed at the last minute?

I placed an online order for 15 feet truck and three dollies for Sat, May 2, 8 am, about a week in advance to be picked at a location in Etobicoke. 3 pm on Thursday before May 2, I got I call that U-haul doesn’t have the truck available in Etobicoke, but can pick it up from a location in Markham, 40 km away. Very slick move - with such short notice I can’t really find another truck from another provided. Without choice, I had to go agree to go to Markham. If Uhaul doesn’t have the truck available in Etobicoke, why was it offered there? When I picked the truck on May 2, there were no dollies. The location was closed, so I called customer service. They couldn't explain why there were no dollies. Their guess was there were none available at the location. If they were not available, why wasn't I notified? And again, if they were not available in the location, why were they offered online? The customer service rep advised that she can arrange for me to pick up dollies at another location in Scarborough, but they would open at 10 am. I asked if I can pick up the dollies from the Etobicoke's location since they would open earlier. The rep advised the Etobicoke's location opens at 9 am and she would arrange for me to pick them up from the Etobicoke’s location. However, since I was renting the truck one way (meaning I’m returning it in a different location from where I picked them up), I had to call Traffic and they had to arrange the dollies to be returned to the location I’m picking them from. Why did I have to call another department to handle my request? Why wasn’t customer service able to arrange that? Why do you have customer service, if I have to call each department separately? Anyway, it was 9:30 am by the time I finished with customer service, Traffic and drove back to Etobicoke. When I arrived there, I was told they don’t have dollies. No one has notified them and the dollies they had available were already given to other clients. So much for customer service. The agent at the location called another location in Rexdale, 14 km away. Rexdale could spare one dolly for me and that’s it. So, to summarise my experience with U-Haul: I placed an order for a truck and three dollies to be available at 8 am in Etobicoke. On the day of the pickup, I had to drive 40 km to Markham, 40 km back to Etobicoke, 14 km to Rexdale and 14 km back to my place in Etobicoke. I received one dolly instead of the three I ordered. And I waisted 2.5 hours of my time dealing with issues that should have been arranged when I placed my order a week in advance. It seems like U-haul is Greek for “not good at online business and customer service”.

Vehicle was clean and fueled. It was ready for pickup at the scheduled time. Key was in the lock box. No staff at this location during Covid lockdown, so you are completely on your own using the online procedures for both pickup and return. Set up your account in advance to streamline the procedure somewhat. Even with iPhone "location services" turned on, the uHaul website had difficulty detecting that I was actually at the pickup location. Give yourself lots of time for pickup.

Interior can muddy. Windshield wipers were so bad rubber was 75% torn off. Most of moving blankets were soiled. Gas cap light on but cap was secured.

Van was not ready for rental. Had to remove snow from van. Gas in van was not as stated. Missing about 1/8 tank. Was showed but nothing was done. I refueled about 10L extra by mistake as well. This is on me. Key was not in the lockbox. Had to wait till location was open to get van. This delayed my move which needed to be on time.

We use this place a couple times every year and it's purely out of convenience of proximity. The vehicles are not cleaned regularly and clearly not inspected after every return i.e. I always find garbage in the cargo area i.e. empty water bottles, portable ash trays, end pieces of lumber. They're in pretty rough shape too, but I can't put the blame on the rental location for that. I'd give it below average but I think this is pretty standard with the majority of uhaul locations. It is what it is and if you can, plan ahead and book with a more reputable rental company.

The back of the truck was very slippery since it had grease on it, there was a leak somewhere causing water damage, and the people before me did not lock the truck nor close the back door and it was pouring rain so the back was very wet as well.

This location, staff didn't go out to check the gas level with client, and than when I return, she said I didn't fill up the gas, said I need to fill up the gas at least 50 litter for driving 90 km?!!!! it's a 15 ft truck only. no truck in the world using that much gas, make no sense at all. I drove out the truck I took a look the gas level is 3/8, but she said system is 5/8.

I was pretty frustrated about trying to return it while they were open, and was quite relieved to see that there was no spurious extra charge. All else was excellent, the clerks I negotiated with last night were very nice and helpful, and it all went quite smoothly otherwise.
