The people at the store are doing their best but you are asking both the retailer and the customer to do all the work for you in your business model so unpredictable if standards will be met

First, I had issues with Uhaul as I called and they said they found me a 10ft truck for 48 hours. When I get to the store, they inform me that the truck was only reserved for 24 hours and there is nothing they can do to help me. The girl (who was 13 years old working behind the till?) said I couldnt have the truck and then just walked away from me. After begging for a solution they managed to switch another persons reservation around for me (which I appreciated). I was told to walk down a block or 2 to get the truck, after walking multiple blocks, there was no truck to be found... I walked several blocks again with the owner, and was then told that the young girl was working alone that day (?...) so she didnt confirm where the truck was parked. It must have been towed. So now, I am again without a truck. There was another 10ft truck there, but they apparently couldnt let me rent it. They only had a 15ft truck, which I had initially told the Uhaul customer service person I didnt want to drive because I felt it was too big for me and I was scared. I told the store owner this, but there was nothing she could do. when I asked if they had any locks, she said she would "throw it in" if I just took the 15ft truck. I had an event the next day so out of desperation I took the truck - it was terrifying driving it and definitely was a safety issue. not to mention the truck was almost on empty and hadnt been cleaned in the last year probably. I am SUPER disappointed with both experiences and will be complaining to a Uhaul manager.

The van I rented was double booked so I to take a truck instead. Probably a U-Haul problem, probably not a location problem. Fix your IT problems.

The only thing I would suggest is that you fix your check list as I was unable to upload a picture for disputing the trucks condition there was damage to the front if the box on both the drivers side and the passenger side presumably from the previous renter, Saru the agent at the location noted the damage on her end and she was very professional as well as very helpful. When I tried to take the picture through your link the camera came up but the screen was dark. I have an iPhone. Because it would not let me dispute without the pictures i had to file no dispute. The Van wasn't 100% clean, but wasn't bad either. Make sure to check it well enough first since the picture that the system shows are from a new van. The driving was smooth and had no problem at all. Location it was good for me, near to my home.

Rental was free for rest of the day (2 hrs left) but still charged a late fee for being late by 20 mins. Technically she was not in the wrong, but practically not a good decision from a customer service perspective. Won’t be coming back

Make sure there are enough moving pads as have been ordered or notify the customer before hand. Just a general note for U-haul, be more upfront about the actual cost after all the added costs.

Convenient location, but previous renter parked very inconsiderately or was not confident with trucks, and parked in two spots forcing me to park in the lane in a very tight location. Fortunately had someone with me to spot otherwise it would have been difficult to park without blocking the lane on my own. Had I been able to park in a spot would have been great. Had to hunt for the keydrop. Maybe this info was on the contract, but could not read it as it was so poorly rendered.

Stop playing bait and switch. You advertise this unit for $29.95 and somehow it becomes $78.95. I was also offered mileage for half price and yet paid full price. The blankets I rented were wet. I wanted to pay by interac and was told they couldn't do that

The process in person needs you to have Internet on your phone - but this was not clear in the info provided by email. In the morning, they were understanding and gave me access to the shop's wifi, but in the afternoon, the woman refused to give me access. It should have been a non-issue though as she could do the check-out herself. The check-out process was also not explained clearly to me, and so when I returned it in the afternoon I was reprimanded by the woman managing for doing things 'wrong'. She was incredibly rude and snappy to me (unwarranted), I've never experienced anything like that before. The young woman in the morning was very polite, but could have explained the return process to me as they seem to have a particular way of doing things. I would only recommend this place because its conveniently located, but I would recommend you ask for clarity at the start on the return process.

There was heavy snow in the morning. I went to Uhaul branch in Best Foods Grocery trying to pick up the truck for my moving day. We just found no one cleaned the snow at all and there is no salt even in the garage where the truck is. Our truck was buried in the snow and it never worked. NO ONE in the branch helped us so we have to clean up all snow by ourselves and we have to place cardboard box by the tires; you may know it’s very dangerous job. It’s so late to call other mover at that time that we had no choices. We spent more than one and half hour to escape from uhaul garage and spent tons of gases. Plus, There was a guy who was supposed to rent a minivan. He gave up to drive the vehicle; getting out from the garage was almost impossible. It happened not else where but just in your branch. If you had cleaned snow in the garage I could depart earlier and I couldn’t have to spend lots of money for gas. This was an absolute disaster resulting from you and It took so many time so my moving schedule went wrong totally.

I arrived after the booking time. I asked the staff if I had 4 hours and she said yes and did I need another 15 minutes. I was called later on and told I was late returning and a fee was charged a fee. This is not acceptable and I will be following up with uhaul to query this charge

I had a terrible experience this Sunday. The responsible for the vehicle gave me the wrong code to get the vehicle keys, I got the wrong vehicle. Had to go back to the location to get the right truck, I had to call the responsible to find the vehicle key and get the right code to open the back of the truck, the key was inside the driver’s seat, which was locked and I had to wait for the owner to open it. She parked the car in a spot, where there wasn’t enough space get out the place and finally start my move out, and simply left. I had to call her again to remove the car, she hang up on me, had to call her again, she came back and until I leave I lost almost 2 hours since I checked in. And now you’re charging me an insane amount of $126 since I drove only 14km. I’m very upset and disappointed with the service and I hope I can get a cash back from the bill.

We made a reservation online for a 15' truck. The location that *was* supposed to have our truck didn't have it and said they have never had 15' due to size restrictions of the property. We ended up going to 3 places before locating a U-Haul, ON THE DAY OF THE MOVE WHILE WE HAD MOVERS WAITING. Your company's mistake ended up costing us extra fees with the movers, and then the rental place wasn't giving us proper information about rates, but we *had* to take the truck, regardless. I've been waiting to see my final invoice because I suspect it will be excessively overcharged.

So many things wrong. Mirror broken, dirty windshield with no wiper fluid to clean it, layers of dust and dirt in cab, slack in steering wheel making it difficult to drive, check engine light on the entire time. It’s too bad because the family who ran the store was lovely and I was hopeful to come back and refer people to them - I will not be able to.

Not much one can do for the given site. Parking was limited with just two spots and the staff was just a young grocery store clerk so if there were issues she may not have been able to handle it.

The lady at the counter told me I would have to ‘fill up on gas’ because the van was low. I've used rental vehicles before, I know I'm supposed to return it with the same amount of gas. So I asked her, if I ‘fill up on gas’ will I be reimbursed, she said yes. I even triple checked and asked her if I should bring back the receipt for the reimbursement, she said yes. So, I filled up $75, most people who’ve rented before would know to fill up in increments, just in case. When I received the van it was less than a quarter tank, I returned it with half, and traveled less than we planned. In the end, I paid way more than my original quote because of the fuel and she added the $15 coverage fee after I explained I didn’t need it. Now I have to jump through hoops with U-Haul to get any sort of refund. I’ve seen/heard at least four other people go through the same situation, so I’m sure this has been brought to a manager's attention, and clearly nothing’s been done. Sharon, the manager of U-Haul customer service I guess, is not helpful in the slightest. I asked to speak to someone on the phone and instead I got a one sentence email saying that they would return the coverage fee. Sharon ignored my questions about the reimbursement, I had to call again because my reply went unanswered. Finally we ended up with them refunding $33.61 for the fuel but when I asked Sharon to direct me to someone I can make a formal complaint to, they emailed me a link to leave a review on the U-Haul website. Poor customer service all around.

Friendly staff. I don’t mind booking again in this location. The only struggle I had was the parking that seems to be a little tight. For new drivers, this could be a challenge, but for drivers with lots of driving experience, this is a piece of cake.
