Deceptive advertising by UHaul and not the dealer. $19.95 truck as advertised actually cost me $60.00 + and had I taken the insurance would have been nearly $80.00. I cannot recommend UHaul Corp.

I rented a 6x12 double axel trailer. Everything was good with one exception...on one side of the trailer were boards bolted to the wall for a tie down, on the other side of the trailer's wall was narrower board that had "slits" in the wood to run "something" through to help tie down your furniture. Not many things beside paracord can go through those slits. I used some paracord. That is my only complaint, otherwise, a very good experience.

I will leave the letter I'm sending...... When we returned the truck on 11/25, we wrote a note on the contract left in the box. It stated the gas was off since Georgetown Tx. We weren't able to let the person know since he had already locked the door. We stated how we put gas in & it brought it up to a little over 1/2 a tank when it was right below that to start with. $20 barely filled it over 1/2 a tank. This leads me to think that the gauge needs to be checked considering it didn't change much from the 1/2 mark through out our drive. We asked that you PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE not run our card for the extra charge, that we would come pay it in person. We stated how running our card would overdraw it making other payments bounce causing MAJOR problems for us. This morning I received a notice regarding a charge that caused 2 bills to bounce, 2 payments with a $40 fee on each charge! I would have put more gas in but my husband had put the key in the box thinking I was done checking the truck over. I understand the concept of people just doing their job but was it really that hard to call as requested? Making this move( which was unexpected and rushed on a fixed income ) cost us so much money and now we are starting our time here overdrawn and screwed for Christmas. I clearly wrote that we would PAY it in PERSON. This has caused alot of stress, it has been a rough experience for all the of us, my 11 year old daughter, disabled husband & myself. Thank you for being so inconsiderate, when the gas wasn't where it was marked to begin with. I will be placing a complaint even though you guys probably don't care. But thanks to Social media, those complaints can go a long way. So thanks for Starting our day & the next couple month off to a terrible start! P.S we also don't understand why the drop-off location we were sent to was further away from our address & closed earlier than the one closer to us. Today I checked my checking account again and this time it showed ad a pending charge. The first notice showed it was taken out and other payments had bounced. Today it shows as a pending charge, the damage is already done, it was done when you took it the first time.
