It's in a great spot, but each time I was there I was approached by panhandling folks, and my first time there I am 100% there was a person on a foreign substance tweaking around the gas pumps. Even though I used my app to pick the vehicle up, I had to go inside to get the key. The person working the counter said he "didn't do the contracts" and that I'd have to call uhaul to make sure he could give me the key. I was on the screen in the app where I say I have the key. Or I don't have the key... so I spent more time calling in so they could look and say everything was good in uhauls end. Then I go back to the counter, wait for a few minutes, and then I get told we are good to go, but what van number was mine? Sure let me look that up.

Since it was open I was able to drop off the truck with a physical person which I wanted due to a concern that needed to be noted. So overall this like a majority of all my uhaul rentals have been a good experience. I've used them for about all my personal moves and have not had an issue that wasn't handled professionally and with good will. So I will continue to use uHaul for my moves unless......🙃😠

We had to stop twice to have air put in the tires. The back tires were 20 lbs. too low. Very dangerous. There was a dirty glove and a half empty pint bottle of gin in the vehicle. The customer service was excellent though. I would go there again just wasn't happy with the the tire and alcohol situation.

The back of the uhaul had a strange odor . I had to disinfect and spray air freshener before I could use it. I would not recommend anyone get uhauls from this location.

This was the worst experience I've ever had with U-Haul. The owner/operator of this location was extremely rude, unhelpful and used abusive language. I can not express how awful this experience was, especially on a stressful moving day. I can't believe this man runs a business. The truck i rented was disgusting. I had to clean it further so I wouldn't be charged! It smelled so bad like a dead animal I had to keep the windows down. The truck was in terrible condition, the ignition barely works and the truck wouldn't start a few times, and the tires need air in them.

The location took some getting use to, but over all things were seamless. As far for cleanness... it was acceptable, but smelled of a smoker. I would recommend to a family or friend, but inform them of a potential conflict with smoke reaction. Truly, I wouldn't expect much more giving the community/location of the site... its acceptable.

Don't list Delaware Automotive as a Uhaul pickup location. Spent an hour and a half in the parking lot waiting for the owner to bring us the keys and he never did. place was locked so we had to rely on phone calls and being transferred 6 times before someone told us to go to MLK Boulevard. Wouldn't have happened if someone had just been at Delaware Automotive.

Fix the truck and have gas in it !!! Very poor service at this location!! I reserved a truck to be picked up at Green bank rd. And no truck available there. My helper is deaf and had to follow me through the CITY !!!in a bad area!!! He was frightened to drive on 95 and 295 !!! I want my full Refund!!!! Moving is stressful enough!!! I was not informed on a pickup in the City !! We are lucky to be alive!!!! That truck sucks!!!!poor service!!!!

This is a gas station location with only one employee who was taking care of gas station customers as well as UHaul. This may also be the reason why the phone was never answered when I tried to call for two days. However, the employee was nice and helpful and we were allowed to pick up the truck early (which was one of the reasons I was trying to call).

The Station attendant was pleasant. As I was waiting my turn in line, he locked the doors to the Facility to attend to other business activities. An agitated customer who was waiting outside was finally allowed in after the attendant unlocked the doors after a 10-12 minute wait. The customer was combative, abusive and was screaming profanities. The truck I rented was not entirely cleaned and appeared to have been previously rented by a Contractor as the cabin contained small stones and drywall debris. The hauling container was cleared but not at all broom swept. The debris left by the prior renter in no way interfered with our 2 1/2 hour move but I was charged for a clean up of the vehicle. Please consider a refund of those Clean-up fees. Thank you,

The service person for U-haul at the location did not show up at 9AM the scheduled time for pick up and it took the clerk at the store 45 minutes to do the rental. Need to have agent show on time.

The mobile app was difficult to use in terms of waiting for confirmation. The tech/customer service support texting also was useless; I tried explaining that the UHaul truck needed to be changed to a different truck since I was unable to get the car out, but the response I received was "you are now confirmed" regarding the previous truck. The rep at the location was also unfriendly and gave me an attitude. Once i got the new car, i tried changing the odometer in the app, but it wouldnt allow me to. the gas tank wasnt full at time of pick up, and i got a fuel charge when i returned it. i tried calling via phone to confirm things once i took the car, but was put on hold for a long time then i was disconnected.

System at this location took over 25 mins to process the information. I was told would need to pay cash and had to use an ATM to make three separate withdraws each costing me money only for the card to finally work after almost a half hour.

The staff was so helpful and understanding. Wilmington, DE had rioters and I was a little rattled, but they were so supportive. It helped my move.

The self-check in process did not work well. the page kept timing out. I had to call customer service and wait on the line to have the starting mileage recorded. It was not obvious whether the van needed diesel or gasoline. As a part of the check-in process, please advise the customer of fuel needs. A simple sticker near the fuel tank would do the trick.

The truck the automated system reserved had a flat. The owner operator gave us a different truck right away and handled the paperwork for us. There was no hold up. He was very nice and accommodating.

Nobody was wearing a mask or social distancing, even after I asked the rental agent to do so. The place was filthy, especially the counter where I had to place my license so it could be photographed and uploaded to verify my identity. The truck was filthy inside and had not been cleaned at all. The employee who "helped" me was rude and nasty. The police swarmed into the parking lot (with guns drawn) to drag somebody out of a car and arrest him. Other than that... If this is how U-Haul screens it's agents, I won't be going back. There are plenty of other truck rental companies that won't feel like my health endangered.

Key drop off signage would've been better than being rudely shunned to the area. If your customer service is trash, no need to add services like Uhaul to your establishment.
