Horrible experience. Booked a 26 foot truck for 10 hours for 1030 to 830. Uhaul changed my location. Started my rental 2 hours earlier than I requested and lowered it to 6 hours from 10. My whole moving day was planned out and this made it 10 times harder. Then I was threatened with huge penalties if I didnt bring it back worh my new ( not what I requested) shorter time. Why let me reserve something them change or and charge me more. Them when I do show up my reservation says cancelled because you changed it 2 hours earlier and I was not there. I will be using different rentals in the future and advise all I know to do the same. I would have paid more up front for real service and not getting screwed around with reservation.

We were upgraded to a larger vehicle because our reserved vehicle couldn't start in the -25°C weather. I know this weather is unusual for Lethbridge, but you may want to consider equipping your vehicles with higher capacity winter batteries.

The person at the desk should help the customer (without being asked by customer) to hook up trailer dolly, since the customer can be alone n can't do alignment with truck n trailer. I had to ask her to come out n help after trying to align for 40 minutes.

We have always had very good experiences with the staff at UHaul locations in Alberta - this site was excellent. Any profit that UHaul makes is directly related to the quality of their site-staff (and definitely not the booking system which promises one thing and delivers another when the date arrives).

Luckily one helpful employee picked up this truck from Crowsnest Pass and delivered it to Lethbridge. Apparently the Crowsnest Pass location is no longer operational, which we could not have known as we were told by multiple U-Haul employees to drop off at this location. I was then contacted by U-Haul and told that I would have to again drive the half an hour to go pick up the truck, drive it an hour in the other direction, and then drive another 30 minutes back home. The whole U-Haul experience is usually unpleasant, but this one definitely takes the cake. From the truck not being available at our desired pick up location, the truck then needing maintenance at the new location before we could pick it up and then this whole delivery situation, it’s a good thing that U-Haul doesn’t have much for competition, or I wouldn’t foresee a long future.

Went to pick up at scheduled time ... “closed for lunch” Went back and the owner “went to Vegas and the staff did not know how to do” they called another Uhaul place. Had to go there. Two hours of my helpers sitting around. Terrible

When a reservation is made online you should receive what you reserved and not try to convince your customer to move a different day or take an inferior product that will not do the job.

Times to pickup was advertised as 24/7. In reality each place has different hours so was misleading. The place we signed opens at 7 but pickup place only opened at 8. In the end it turned out ok but initially was confusing. Everything else was great

App told me there was no truck at time of pickup, despite being parked beside two of them. When staff was contacted they said rental was closed for the week. Had to phone and search for another truck at time I should have had rental.

Before I got this trailer uhaul had me go to 2 different places each one of them telling me to go to the next guy .I contact uhaul to see if they would own yo the promise of 50 dollars but I have not heard from uhaul since I started the claim I guess next time I would try a different company even though I been a customer of theirs quite frequently but I just do not understand why it took them so long for a trailer

It says we needed to return our vehicle contract on the after hours key drop off box, but when I returned this morning to drop off the keys to get a photocopy of the vehicle contract we actually didn't need to. Clear communication would have been nice so I didn't have to make an extra trip back and forth.

The clerk was very friendly however the truck was not clean and we had to switch to a new truck. It was possible they never inspected the vehicle. This vehicle requires service as it has low power and abysmal fuel efficiency.

I had to buy an adaptor for the wiring. People should not have to buy adapters for 17 dollars, this should be included in the rent.

The truck's tires were low and had no grip. There was a chip in the windshield and the overall performance of the truck was not good. The trip was made much more difficult by the lack of maintenance to the vehicle.

The one thing I would like to see is hook points mid way up the wall and at the top of the walls , instead of only on the bottom. Other than that, I was very happy.

Your employee treated me like a criminal, was reluctant to let me look at the trailer until I completed a contract. Gave terrible directions, worst route possible to Costco. Told me I would get a discount if trailer was returned within 24 hours, the drop off point now tells me I do "NOT" get a discount. I feel if I was told I would get a discount I should get a discount. I guess I will find out if Uhaul's word is good or do they mislead customers in order to rent trailers??? I await your response! Thanks

When we picked up the trailer we noticed it had a bald tire .... brought it to the attention of the front counter person (she was great) She stated that it was just brought in by a by a head person and they said it was good to go . No way could we take it on the highway like this ! She ended up phoning a shop in town and we had to take it to be fixed !

Location I wanted had several trucks but wanted them to remain local. Location I was sent to was very difficult to get to as I was on foot. Needed to get a ride from a family member. Uhaul does ok for the family move model. For the single individual who is just moving a few things, it appears there are gaps.
