There was no after hour drop for the rental as advertised. If I did not have a place to store the vehicle myself for the night I would have been in a lot of trouble.

I purchased extra days so I wasn't late dropping off the equipment and ended up not needing using them and turned in the car hauler 3 days earlier then expected and the 26ft trailer a day earlier and was still charged for those extra days instead of being refunded for days I didnt use.

When I picked up the trailer in Las Vegas I stated to the guy that I needed one extra day before returning the trailer in Tehachapi, CA. He said to just ask the guy at BS&E Rents to waive the extra day charge. I said Ok because that’s what the case was earlier this year when I rented a covered 6x12 trailer (same pick-up place and same drop-off place). When I returned the trailer early Saturday afternoon Terry, the boss guy, presented me the invoice with a $20 charge. He said he was billing me for a extra day rental fee. I told him the Las Vegas location said if you just ask for the free extra day , no big deal they’ll waive the fee; that’s exactly what the case was earlier this year! I would appreciate a $20 refund to my credit card. Thank you. Scott

The check-in was horrific. No where to sit, I had to sit on a 5 gallon bucket. When (I thought) we were done I got in the truck. Then my husband comes out and said the guy said to look at my phone. There was a text message and something I had to click on. I should mention I only use my phone to talk. I clicked and a bunch of tiny pictures came up with approve and disapprove under them. I had no idea what to do. I went back inside and the guy was clearly pissed at me. "You let it time out!" To this day I don't know what the deal was.

U-Haul called me two days before my move date to tell me there was no trailer available, despite making the reservation a week in advanced. We then had to scramble and drive two hours out of our way to pick up the nearest trailer. The day of our move, we realized the trailer had a flat. Thankfully it was just a nail in the center of the tire, an easy repair. The U-Haul location on White Lane in Bakersfield had two very uninformed workers who could not offer any help, and told us to wait "around an hour" for their manager to show up to work. We needed to make a long drive in one day and couldn't wait, so we ended up going to a Big Brand Tire across the street and pay for the repair ourselves. Overall this was a horrible experience and ended up costing us hundreds of dollars extra on travel/repair fees. I received about 20~ emails from U-Haul before and after my reservation, most of which contained the exact same information. How does U-Haul monopolize the rental trailer business and then not have any trailers available?

Another winner here! Very nice very professional as opposed to the Oakland location where every time I went in there was an employee sitting at the counter doing nothing and would just tilt his head to indicate that you need to see the other employee who was already helping someone. If it had only been one time, no big but three times?? Love the Tehachapi location!!
