When I arrived at the location the Uhaul I booked was not available. No call or warning. They gave me a â€œ$10â€ discount. The bill ended up being about $60 higher than the quote anyway. My brother ended up renting another uhaul from another location just to make up the space. Terrible experience all around.Brian M.
Personnel at this location was not friendly and welcoming. They were professional but did not make me want to use them again. Truck was absolutely 5/8 filled with gas. I feared asking them to fill it up. I returned it filled. I felt cheated out of $40 in gas. they should ensure their rental have a full tank of gas. There was no dollies and or blankets available for rental. I get it, supply and demand but I expected more from Uhaul. I should not feel desperate or cheated.ROYEN W.

I have been using U-Haul for years. In the past, I've had issues with this location. Most of the time, it was due to whomever is at the counter with a clear facial expression of "I Have Better Things To Do". However, this time, their representative was patient, helpful & much more friendly as well as welcoming. The check out process went smoothly and took less than 10 minutes. The truck was very dirty. The windshield was extremely dirty, making it hard to see in the sunlight. When we got in the truck it smelled like cigarettes and butt. The interior was also extremely dirty.JAMESMATTHEW D.

My truck pick location was change on the same day that I was doing my pick up I was not happy about that when I got to the new pick up location and I was told there is no truck available and that hopefully maybe I had a chance to get a truck if some returned I was really piss off at U-Haul and to find out there were like three other customers there dealing with the same situation so as much as I like U-Haul something has to done about this and this is not the first time is all the time and I am getting tired of it and would try a different company just to compare don't want to but u haul is forcing me to so please please deal with this problem you are loosing many customers because of it !!!Jose S.
I attempted to call the location 10 times before my arrival and nobody answered. I was running about an hour late as my movers were late and I needed to be there with them. I called customer service and they said the only way to change the time was by calling the location directly. I checked in through the app ahead of time. Upon arrival I walked in to the gas station and was able to locate the U-Haul desk easily. A man asked for my reservation and ID. He then said â€œsorry man your van is damaged and we don't have anything for you.â€ I asked what he meant and he said that earlier that morning the mirror had been knocked of by someone. I asked if he had a replacement and he said no and that it's my fault that I was late. I explained that I attempted to call multiple times and he laughed and in a condescending tone pointed to the non existent line of customers and said they are too busy to worry about answering the phone. He also stood there on his cell phone the entire time I was there. I asked him why they didn't call me earlier in the day when they found out my van was damaged and he said that is not his problem because I was late. I asked if he could assist at all and he said no and gave me the customer service number (after I asked him for it). I waited on hold for 10-15 minutes and spoke to a nice woman who also could not help and said she needed to transfer me to a manager who could see if there was another van in brooklyn. I'm after waiting on hold for another 5 minutes I was disconnected. I asked the man at the desk what else we could do and he mentioned there was a 10foot truck that he could give me instead (which he could have started with), and I said that was fine and I would make that work. The entire process added another 30/45 minutes to my ETA. The car had an odd aroma and wasn't super cleanâ€¦ dirty smart bottle water with brown water inside, hair on the seats. I confirmed that the drop of details in DC would be the same as Before and he said yes. When I arrived in DC and unloaded, I then went to drop off the van. The location appeared to have just closed and there was no easily accessible drop off info to find. Location didn't answer and I found a sign saying to use the app. The app said I had to return the truck to brooklyn. I waiting on the phone to speak with someone for 30 minutes and she was able to update the file. All in allâ€¦ a pretty terrible experienceMICHAEL T.

1. Don't lose the key and leave me waiting for 30 minutes. 2. Don't rent me a van with 4 screws in the tire where I have to buy a pump to fill it every 90 minutes. 3. Don't have me check in online uploading my license photo and credit card info and then tell me I have to present them in order to rent the van ( with no keys ) 4. Don't give me a vehicle with less than half a tank of gas with no way for me to document it since I was given no paperwork, contract, or receipt. This was the most disorganized unprofessional experience I've ever had renting a vehicle.Richard A.

I had a very bad experience with this location. My truck was originally scheduled for 10 am. I called Uhaul, early in the morning to find out if I could do an earlier pick up as my driver had arrived before the scheduled time. I had a green light from Uhaul and headed to the location. Upon arrival at 8:30 am, an individual with last name Singh told me that my truck couldn't be picked up earlier, regardless of what the Uhaul representative had told me on the phone. He said that my truck was not yet available even though there were 2-20' trucks parked in the parking lot. Singh told me to come back between 9:30 and 10.Upon my return, he proceeded to give us one of the trucks that have been parked since we first arrived. So he literally could have given me the truck at 8:30, but he just didn't want to be bothered. I have also paid for 12 blankets, but the kid assisting with this appeared to be influenced by Singh's bad attitude and he didn't want to put the blankets inside the truck. He apparently wanted me to go and get the blankets from him and put them inside the truck. I refused to do that and demanded him to do it, so he rudely asked to park the truck in front of where he was standing. He threw the blankets inside the truck when we parked it in front of him, but was not happy to be forced to do so. Uhaul should not allow this type of service from their dealerships or affiliates as it becomes a reputational issue for Uhaul. Rest assure, I will never use this location again and will make others aware of their poor service.Cordia E.
This location has a gas station and a convenience store, a car wash, the uhaul parking to leave the truck, and is in walking distance of the L train. I loved this experience. I accidentally pulled into the mechanic shop next door which doesn't have an exit, and the nice guys there helped me back up my 15' truck into traffic to get back into the gas station parking lot. The trailer was okay, definitely beat up but it did the job. The staff was rude and made it very obvious they didn't want to be there. They didn't even help unload the trailer when I dropped it off and made me unhook it myself and made a rude comment about me dropping it off a day early because I finished with it early.Erika Y.

The main problem, unrelated to this location, was the website glitching multiple times when trying to reserve (Safari iOS 14.4.2). Generally slow choppy eperience, and specifically would not allow me to click in to specify a different return locationâ€”the â€œedit return locationâ€ link led to a page to specify pickup location. I received my Uhaul over an hour after I arrived because the key was lost to the truck I reserved. Only after I called Uhaul while I was there after 30 minutes of waiting did they give me the keys to another truck. When I got in the truck the engine light was on! I went back in and told them to only wait another half hour to receive another truck. It was a bad experience. I had to pay my movers for an extra hour because of the inconvenience and delay. Was not the experience I was hoping to get from Uhaul as I thought they were a reputable company.Felicia M.

Right off the bat my reservation was changed, both location and pickup, but it still suited my needs. Upon arrival, I wasn't even asked my reservation # despite saying that I had one. Then I was given a 3rd equipment option, so not what I reserved nor what it was changed to but a 3rd option, despite there being many trucks in the lot. Upon attempting to return the truck to the employees in the office I was told to use the online return, however the photo of the odometer/fuel gauge was not working. So I came back to explain it wasn't working and he said it's okay I'll do it.afyer wasting my time.HE SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE INSTEAD OF TELLING ME TO GO DO THE ONLINE RETURN. i have used U-Haul many times at corporate locations upstate with no issue. These satellite pick up locations are not doing your brand justice and you need to clamp down on businesses with piss poor customer service.RICHARDJ R.

The drop off wasn't completely horrible but because it is a gas station and not a standard haul location, it was a bit messy. Even after returning the vehicle a day early, the claim wasn't process or recognized until the following day (thankfully I paid for the additional day just in case) but it seemed as though I would've been reimbursed for the early return but I wasn't.Jalisa M.
