We attempted to put two other people as authorized users on the truck. We had copies of their licenses, but they were never put on as drivers. Luckily I thought to call uhaul and put them on through the 800 number.

C & J Automotive was fine. I did not respond to this "Rate your Experience" to complain about C & J. At C & J, the guy was nice enough & friendly and hooked up my trailer for me. He was fine. // What was NOT fine is I looked up and called the Harborcreek UHaul rental place on my phone with an 814 area code and exchange 899 (which is not too far from my home and business. A guy answered the phone. I asked to rent a tow behind for a car I was towing. He went thru (twice) what kind of vehicle I was towing with and what kind of vehicle was being towed. He was absolute about making sure I understood it was for front wheel drive cars only. I understood. He asked a 2nd time and I heard him typing. He took my name, my credit card and told me to pick it up 10-12 noon on Saturday. I got behind a bit, but since they were right down the street - no problem. So I go in at 11:45 to pick up the trailer. There wasn't a soul in the parking lot and were 2 agents at registers. Neither seemed to want to be the first to serve me... both were playing on their cell phones. When I said I was here to pick up my tow behind, they told me I made a mistake. They don't have any and rarely carry them. I've seen them there before, but there were none in the lot. I insisted that I called this store and reserved one for Saturday. They both indicated they didn't know anything about it. I said I called here and reserved it. The guy insisted I didn't call there to reserve it. So then I took out my cell phone and scrolled through the call history... sure enough Wednesday showed the UHaul and phone number. So I pressed the button and their phone rang in front of me. Then they said... well, if we don't answer it, then it goes to the National Office and they don't know what they are doing. So... where is my trailer. Well, they speculated that maybe it was at this location or maybe it was that location. As if it was MY JOB to find it. Then after sort of insistent look on my part, they tried looking it up on their computer by my name. NOPE, not on the system. After digging awhile - I was getting Hot... they found me - name misspelled on the computer and told me where it was. I again sort of had to insist that 'they' call and notify that location that I was now on my way (other side of town) to pick up the trailer.

I'm not trying to be rude, ignorant or insulting so if someone feels differently get over it. I did reserve a specific pickup location but it was moved; I did receive a call and email but I accepted the change. The location appears to be under renovations for some time and there were no business markings and I did not see a physical address on the building, good thing there was already another U-HAUL parked.While the individual who helped me was nice and very polite, spitting tobacco juice into a water was less than classy. While this is not my first time renting so I was not disappointed when I didn't even have the chance to turn down an equipment review - was like here you go (spit) have a good day. I then perform my own walkaround documenting anything that catches my eye; the Cheetos spilled under the drivers seat was a nice touch. Aside from those wonderful pleasantries the equipment was in fine shape and drove without any issues. Please post my comments so others can regale and plan their adventure accordingly.

Almost halfway into a 12000 mile trip the oil light came on necessitating us hunting for and stopping at a station that could service the truck, wasting a lot of time and unnecessarily using up mileage.

About the "No" above...there was construction going on at the time so I understand. Although, both locations were operating out of confined space...think shoebox meets closet, however, I guess that just proves you can still get things done in a minimum amount of space. I was the only customer on pick-up and drop-off occasions so it worked out for me. John was great and he reached out to me right away offering me some flexibility if needed for my drop off. Thanks John!
