The office at Carasaljo Inn was dirty and cluttered. The representative was disorganized. He did not discuss the insurance policy, the refueling policy, or anything else that might be needed for the rental. He took a phone call while he was speaking to me. I had an unfortunate accident while driving the vehicle, resulting in damage to the vehicle. The representative did not collect a statement from me or file a police report, because he didn't want to deal with it. He said he was going to lie to his boss and say that his computer was down, so that he would not need to fill out the reports and take a statement. No Uhaul representative contacted me for any kind of statement about how the accident happened. Instead, I received an email with the damage report based only on the UHaul representative's incorrect explanation of what had happened. Based on his incomplete and inaccurate description of what happened, UHaul said they were going to deny the insurance claim for the damages. I was forced to contact UHaul's customer service reps in order to explain the situation and find a way to file a proper report with the correct details of the accident. The on-site representative's unprofessional and dishonest behavior made the entire situation worse, resulting in a bigger issue for me to deal with.JASON C.
