Really really did not like that there is nobody at the location I do not like having to Do it all online or in an app. it's very frustrating doing it especially when my camera is not working and my storage space on my phone is running low so it keeps alerting me and making me restart. I understand that's not your problem but it's very frustrating and I'd rather it have somebody there. I only did it at this location because I was moving from a place in College Park to a place in College Park and it was easier. But I did not like having to do it all virtually type without anybody there.Kristin P.
Please have the vehicle that is in stock available at the location. I went to the Greater Landover location where I had a reservation for a 9â€ truck at 8:30 pm on 11/5/20. Upon arrival and starting my pickup for 24/7 share , I received a message saying that I had to wait until the location opened the next day. I proceeded to reserve the next available truck at the location but the keys were not in the box specified. I spoke with a Uhaul representative and we went through all 6 boxes at the location and unfortunately did not find any keys. The representative found a new location with availability for me but it was further than I planned for the use of the truck. I was placed at an inconvenience and what was supposed to be an hour move turned into 4 hours. Completely unsatisfied with this service.Jovan W.

Not as a remote location. Took about 2 hours just to get checked in and 1 check the truck back in. The assistance from customer service was excellent but again i had to wait for nearly and hour to speak to someone.Brenda H.

I was so tired at the end of moving that I didn't do all of the pictures since I dropped the key in the box after parking. I hope this was ok and as you could see the truck was back as it was received.Norma S.
No one was on site nor do they answer their phones or return phone calls. Checked in when we got there but barcode wasn't recognized and website said I didn't have a reservation. It took 45 minutes to get the van. Very frustrating process.James B.

This was a very tedious experience. The pick up was not bad but the drop off was not good at all. The system could not verify my location and I had to wait a long time to speak with someone. The person that helped me was great but the fact that I had to take several pictures to verify the condition of the truck and the gas mileage and the odometer is ridiculous. That took another 45 minutes and the pics still were not uploading probably. I should not have to do that. I'm not getting a discount to do that nor am I getting paid to do someone else's job. Self check out is supposed to be easy but it was a hassle especially in a dark parking lotMARCIA M.

I would recommend to a friend, but I would also tell them to be weary of the mileage count within the vehicle before using and to keep as proof of mileage for afterwards.Ethan R.
Pick up took a full hour using my motorola e5 phone. A HUGE PAIN! You charged $20 for after hours drop off at 4 pm!!!! Must have been hidden deep in the fine print. Deceptive! The truck was good. Easy to use and return. Location is convenient.John B.
I was charged for gas and a late return, this is incorrect information, I returned the truck with the same gas level as when it was picked up and returned it an hour early. The is upsetting to this these charges that should not have been on my bill. I was charged an extra $25.00 for no reason, I would not have returned the truck anyother way because I am aware of the extra charges. also the drivers side floor had mud on it. I hope to get the extra $25.00 refunded to me. I am disappointed for sure with this experience and hope this can be settled with fairness.Cynthia B.

Online I was given the option to check in in person or with a mobile device, so I chose the former, but when I arrived on site, I was told that I had to do everything through mobile. Please change the registration process so that customers are informed, from the get-go, that mobile is the only way to proceed with the rental on the day of. It was frustrating for me to not be prepared to fend for myself over mobile, when I expected there to be onsite staff to help me through all steps of the rental. Luckily, someone onsite was able to help me, but I felt bad taking up their time when they were not paid staff.Sarah E.

The location relative to University of Maryland was excellent. However, I was not prepared to make this transaction at a site with no human interaction. I had chosen a different dealer and pick up site. It was also nearby. It was supposed to have live agents there. They were not there as shown on-line.We were redirected by a text message to pick up the vehicle at Cass. Both locations are on Baltimore Ave. Since I was unfamiliar with the area, I could not differentiate the two addresses, at least not at first glance. We lost an hour in the confusion. I was very irritated. My camera would not take a good photo of my driver's license. It took three separate tries. Not a good feeling to have the transaction stopped and not being able to do anything about it. If you are prepared for all that, then this may be a great system, but I opted for human interaction and was denied. Be better prepared for the "Brave New World" if you want a seamless pick-up. I did however, finally drive away in a very clean and newer truck. The equipment was very good for a long haul one way trip.Brian M.

The dolly and blankets I paid for were not in the truck. I had to go to another location and pay for them even though I already paid in the initial set up of my rental. Completely disappointed with the whole experience will look into other company's next time i need to make a move. I had to drive out of my way to another location wasting gas and mileage on my rental. Shame on you Uhaul.william R.

This is a 24/7 self serve location which was NOT communicated to me in advance. It would have saved us A TON of time if we had known that ahead of time. We could have reviewed the process, downloaded the app, uploaded our license and picture. Also, because no one was physically at the location we would not have been able to add on equipment or materials at the last minute like at other pick up sites. We ended up about an hour behind schedule though we still got the move done and truck returned in time. The only reason I gave this location 2 stars instead of 1 is because the location itself is very convenient off Route 1/Baltimore Ave and when the gentleman did show up (about 20 minutes after we arrived) he was very friendly.Shelby B.

Again, I'm not sure this was a location issue as much as a UHaul issue itself: The UHaul app kept crashing repeatedly when prompting me to take photos for my dropoff. After the 7th try, it finally went through. I never want to deal with UHaul again.Emily B.

From the very beginning, everything about this rental was difficult. I was able to reserve the truck online, to be picked up using my mobile phone. But, when I got there, I wasnt able to. I spent 2 hours on the phone trying to resolve the matter.. so by the time I was made aware that the original location was unable to accommodate phone pick up.. and found another location, it was after midnight.. my movers were to arrive at 5am.. and the only available truck location, was 30 miles away.. I returned the truck clean, with the same amount of gas, as when I picked it up... just to find out, that I was charged for not refilling the tank, plus the 30 plus miles each way, to pick up the truck and drop it off. The experience was very unpleasant.Ashika W.
Answer the phone and be available when customers return rentals. I didn't even have truck rental for 24 hours and they charged me for two days and keep trying to charge my account more fees. There was a rental right after I returned it, which makes it clearly impossible for me to have that truck for 2 days.I have reached out to this location and no one answers the phone ! I have called U-haul customer service since 6/25/19 and no resolve. The U haul rep even called this location and no one picked her call either.Service very poor overall !!!LaFawn W.

The process of self service is daunting. Your customer service staff is excellent!!! Stephanie was great! I would not have been able to get the van without her. Equally helpful was the staff member who closed the account out manually! The system kept crashing every time I tried to upload an odometer picture. It was very, very frustrating. This location is functional and convenient, but there was no one available for any assistance.Gina B.

Truck was dirty, had muddy blankets left inside, the Manager was rude, uncooperative, he just told me to â€œoh just leave those blankets in thereâ€ and when I looked inside them they had broken glass... I had to sweep the truck out. He wasn't helpful when I asked about the â€œthis truck rental qualifies for a month of free storage.â€ I would like to take advantage of that free month.Jonathan W.
At the location one person was sitting in his car watching me come to the location and looking for a spot to park my car and take the truck but did not bother to help me. I then parked my car far from the location and walk there to pick up the truck. He kept watching and when I had difficulties finding the truck he finally pointed to the truck without even coming out of the car. Then again I had difficulties locating the key I called the number provided. I saw he came out of his car and his phone ringing. He then rejected my call !! I had to walk to him and ask for the key and his attitude was not friendly !!! I would not recommend this location to anyone. READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING. There were no *CLEAR* instructions stating you must use mobile check in at this location prior to arriving at the location. This location is a grass lot without any attendant. Additionally, there is no on site parking. You can park out in the open in the grass but I was told the neighboring junk yard is always looking for people who leave their cars unattended. I was lucky that a gentleman working in the area stopped by and informed me of the above (he informed me many u-haul renters are unaware of that info). Make sure you have an account with u-haul and are able to log-in via your mobile device. Additionally, coordinate someone to pick up/drop off or park down the street.Joseph S.

None of the equipment I reserved was available at the time I picked up the truck. I was charged for equipment I did not have. Total garbage. The help desk was the opposite of helpful. Felt like I was robbed at gun point by Uhaul at a moment of need. Thanks for screwing me over. Call anytime to discuss. You have my number.
