Apparently since my last trailer rental there's been a new policy change by Uhaul for hooking up tailers to vehicles. I was informed at the Castle Rock rental pick up location, that there is now a 20.00 dollar charge to have a trailer connected to the hitch on my vehicle by an employee of the rental business, that is unless I load it myself. I was quite surprised at being informed of this charge at the time of rental pick up, as I didn't see any new information on your web site rat the time of my order request, unless I over looked it. However, the new charge comes as a great disappointment because employees at Uhaul rental sites have always been exceptionally helpful in loading and unloading equipment throughout the pick up and drop off process, and assuring the customer the equipment has been installed correctly for safe towing. I managed to get some help to lift this 6x12 trailer onto the hitch, but without anyone to help I wouldn't have been able to lift it on my own without the possibility of a back injury. If I had known of this policy change prior to picking up the trailer, (but still disagree with it), I would have made arrangements to bring someone along before paying a ridicules 20.00 fee to have an employee from any rental site lift it onto my hitch. I mean really, can we get serious here. It typically takes approximately five to ten minutes to get hooked up or unloaded at rental sites and be on your way down the road. I truly hope that Uhaul will reconsider this charge and get back to the excellent service we've always enjoyed while doing business with your rental sites in the past.

Absolutely a joke, had to go out and lift a tandem trailer on to my hitch by myself which just screwed up my lower back to the point of numbness in my arms and right leg. Guy never left the counter. l was shocked to say the least. Never sent the drop of location . This place changed my entire outlook on this company allowing people like this to represent their rental company.

They were just as mad I was about the experience I had with the equipment I was rented. They couldn't believe they didn't inspect the trailer before I left the lot. Also this isn't the first time they have heard horror stories about them...

"Ray" was very RUDE. I dropped off the 17' UHaul as instructed 4/6/19. They were "closed" at 4:30 Sat. so we left truck outside in lot in front of door & placed keys in drop box. On 4/10/19-- 4 days extra rental, etc was charged to my debit card. I called Ray in Castle Rock, WA (Castle Rock Auto) and he was rude from the beginning. After quite an discussion he said he would credit my account immediately. Then he said I left the seat of the truck dirty (sticky and dog hair) We had NO animals in the truck, no drinks nor food nor smoke! Instead of crediting my account he charged me $25 for CLEANING! I called Van the regional Rep and he kindly took care of the credits due me and was very professional and apologetic. He took care of the issue immediately. Thanks to Van I will continue to use UHaul but Castle Rock Auto/UHaul I will NOT. Very poor customer service and unprofessional.

Closed at 4pm, our 24hrs was till 6:04. This is where we were directed. They then charged us $40 dollars for a extra day even though we used the key drop and contract drop as instructed. Rip off

It would have been nice to know that the day after my pick up date the price per mile went from $1.09 to $0.89. That would have saved me $50. I could have easily made plans to move things the next day. Also the Uhaul was dirty. I have pictures of the dirty Uhaul. The floor in the back of the Uhaul was dirty with dirt/mud. I stained 1 of the items I moved because of it. The cab on the Uhaul smelled like cigarettes. I had my 7 year old son with me. The ashtray had cigarettes and ashes in it. The only nice part about my experience was the fact that the guy the worked at that location was super friendly, professional, and cool. If I decide to use Uhaul again I will for sure go back to that location. Thanks, Brian Wellin

Don't give away the next customer's reserved truck. Make sure it's actually cleaned and not reeking of cigarette, full of dog hair and greasy food residue. I would like to add that the guy that helped me the morning of pickup was extremely nice and apologized for the mix up and gave me two air fresheners to try to make it better. I appreciate him.

Your call in customer center is horrible!! The original booking agent led me to believe she arranged drop off as well. She blatantly lied, on recording, I had to call back the day of renting, sit on hold for 20 minutes and talk to two different people to return the vehicle. Your business sucks!!!

When I filled out the rental information on line, I requested a furniture dolly. One wasn't available upon pick up, but it turned out we didn't need it anyway! The experience was pleasant. I would rent again,
