I have never in my life done one review, so that says something. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy! This was absolutely the biggest shit show ever. They open at 8am NO ONE showed up till after 10am!!!! They even told us on the phone they where closing early so be there by 12 we'll we got there at 8am and waiting till after 10am to get the uhaul. There was all kinds of angry people waiting. When you are moving and having people take time out there day to help this is not a reliable place to count on. They will absolutely let you down and not and not take your time are they money you spent a head of time in consideration. DONT USE THIS PLACE!!!!!CODY H.
I cant say enough good things about the two people working at CCLA in Walker,LA. The reservation process however was horrible. Made reservation at a closer place in BR on 15th. On the 23rd I got a text saying equipt not available. Said truck PU 100 miles away. Called # on text 337.313.0139 , & put on hold 51 minutes and was disconnected w/o speaking with any one. Bad business on your end!DAVID W.
Long post but I'm disgusted with this place! I usually get moving trucks from Livingston location, but this location (somehow) had good reviews and was much closer, so I rented the 10' truck over the phone and at the time, DECLINED the insurance. I went to pick it up the next day and it took 45 MINUTES to get the keys (I WAS THE ONLY PERSON THERE). It was 90 degrees outside and had NO AC ON IN THE OFFICE! After FINALLY getting the keys, I went out to check the truck for prior damage then realized I never got any kind of paperwork from him, so I went back in to get a copy of my contract. He then informed me he didn't like to "waste paper" by printing these, being that people usually just throw them on the seat and never look at them??? I then had to wait FOREVER for him to print it out as he told me their equipment there was a bit "slow" (I think it is the employee that has that issue) then was never even asked for a signature. I have NEVER rented a moving truck that didn't REQUIRE a signature on the contract??? After FINALLY getting a printout, I find that he had CHARGED ME FOR INSURANCE! He assured me that he would remove the charge and told me he didn't need to reprint it. I still wasn't asked to sign, so I didn't concern myself because I could dispute it. I came back after closing to pick up the truck and the brakes were grinding so bad I was afraid it wouldn't stop! I had no choice but to use it because I had to finish moving boxes and clothes from my daughter's apartment that night in order to get her deposit back. This was a last minute choice, due to her being sent to Houston for radiation treatments for brain cancer. Thankfully I didn't have far to drive it! I received my bill the next morning and low and behold, CHARGED FOR INSURANCE! I sent in an online dispute because I couldn't fathom the thought of trying to deal with that guy again, and also reported the brake grinding issue and headed back to Houston to be with my daughter. The charge disappeared from "pending" and wasn't charged on my bank account so I assumed they didn't charge me due to the unsafe vehicle and getting jacked around on the insurance, but then 2 WEEKS LATER I received yet ANOTHER BILL with INSURANCE STILL ON IT, then finally received a SEPARATE REFUND RECEIPT on the insurance. I'm sure I paid tax on that $14 that I wasn't reimbursed for and will take me another week to get refunded, but I am so over it! I rented from Livingston the last time but tried to get a closer truck to save money. FAIR WARNING, PAY A LITTLE EXTRA AND DRIVE TO LIVINGSTON LOCATION AND RENT FROM THEM! You'll be in and out in 5 minutes with a signed contract and a safe truck and they don't try to rip you off! NEVER AGAIN!Laura C.

The gentleman there was very helpful. We went to the original location that we had reserved a truck and was told they did not have a truck and sent us away. we called this location and the gentleman honored our reservation with the previous uhaul location and took care of getting us into a truck. He made sure we had everything we needed as quickly as possible to not tie us up any longer. wonderful experience! highly recommend this Uhaul location at 30524 Walker Rd North., Walker , La. would give a 100 stars if possible. There was not anyone who represented the rental available - mid day. The man at the location who was there was kind enough to help me unhook the trailer. The location was absolutely excellent. I wasn't able to get my uhaul rental because the code I was given to unlock the lock to get the key didn't work. The number that was provided to call if I had a problem was to someone in Mississippi that couldn't help me. I was still charge and wasn't able to move my stuff and can't reach anyone.SAMANTHA C.

Young lady at this location was nice and helpful, at first didn't seem like she wanted me to leave the tow dolly there since she didn't deal with trailers. Suggested I could take it to another place up the road that dealt with trailers and dollies. She did offer that I could drop it off there and she would have someone from uhaul come pick it up. So while she completed my paperwork, I disconnected and placed the dolly in the space she suggested. All in all no big deal, but this is the place I was told to go to when I called the 1-800 number once i got to my destination.Jamey C.

I actually had an awful experience with uhaul.b it wasn't the particular store but uhaul n in general. I reserved a truck days before I had to move. I reserved it for a certain spt but the day before someone called stating that they wouldn't have a truck at the location I requested and that I might not even have a truck. I'm going through a divorce so I had to move that day. Uhaul ended up getting me a truck but made me drive an hour away in the opposite direction I was going to pick it up. Then after loading up I had to drive 2 more hours to where u was actually moving to. Terrible terrible experience with you all.Kimberly M.

Rental store was fine. However, during the move, the truck leaked in he rain and it ruined 3 sets of mattresses. When trying to file a claim, I was told that the fine print stated the trucks are not water proof and mattress covers should be used. I was never told this. I spent $2100 on new mattresses and everyone I know will be told not to rent from u-haul. It's a shame that you will not guarantee a dry move. And we only moved 15 miles. Totally unacceptable experience.DAN R.

The contract had been made and confirmed but yet the person rented my equipment. She told me I could drop off in one location that was closed on Sunday so I could drop off whenever I needed. The move took much longer because my equipment was rented out when I reserved it. There was a broken piece on the door that kept falling and almost caused an accident the first time it fell off. Horrible experience. And to top it off there was a sign at the location that if they didn't have your equipment they would give you $50, nothing was offered.JAY S.

Been using U-Haul for years, this is my first bad experience and it was HORRIBLE. Rented a 14' to go only 13 miles round trip, plus bought the insurance for $14. Made the move, checked the truck in, the lady inspected it, everything was fine and I left, then I get an email several hours later saying there was damage to the back top cap near the roof, and I was going to be charged for it, and she also tacked on a "cleaning fee". When I called back the place was closed, I left a message to call me back,--she never called. That was a Saturday, so on Monday still no call, and I get a new invoice, reversing the first charge, and ADDING $64 more for the supposed damage to the truck. We had gone back Saturday and took pictures, and saw where this piece had been GLUED into place and must have come loose on the ride. The business owner was looking to make an extra buck off me or get her truck fixed at my cost. Had to call customer service and complain, and I'm supposed to get a call back within 3 days. The customer service agent assured me they would reverse the damage charge. Ridiculous experience. No courtesy call, no call back. Very untrustworthy outfit. Will never go back. Do yourself a favor and use a larger more reputable place.TODD A.

the location was fine. however, my reservation was completely botched. at no fault of the location. I reserved a 20ft. truck and they brought me a 26 ft truck. we had to haul our furniture a good 60 ft from the storage unit because the 26' could not make the turn. THIS IS WHY I ORDERED A 20' TRUCK. AND IT WAS RAINING DURING ALL THIS. very upset. I have used U-Haul many times and this time I was not treated right. the dist. mgr was there and assured me I would be compensated. we'll see if I get a response from this. the mgr. name is Chris Alex.JONATHAN L.
make sure the size truck the customer request, over a month in time, is there without he/she having to complain to main office to have for time scheduled. also, please don't have customer service call your customers the morning of use to ask when they will be returning the truck if a time/date has been arranged. we were in middle of moving, in the morning, and received a call demanding to know when truck will be returned. very rued. and unnessasassary.CHRISTIE C.
