Abigail WWhen turned on the truck the gas was so low the fuel light was on! But how convenient there’s a gas station next door? Then I get charged almost $10 for fuel when I brought it back with more fuel than when I picked it up. You should be ashamed of how you’re doing business! The next tibb my e I need a moving truck I’ll do my best to find a different company.
Josh TWhen I went to pick up the trailer, Barbara was locking up the shop with no sign about leaving or when she would return. Luckily I stopped her and got her to let me in to rent the trailer. I am not sure what was happening with the reservation, but she said none of my information saved. She did not know how to fill out the form and kept blaming me, even though my driver's license and everything was already in there - so something saved. She called a gentleman 3 times to figure out how to hit the submit button. I booked my reservation online and authorized my card for a $59 4 day rental plus $40 for coverage. After 20 minutes figuring out the computer system we went out to hook up the trailer. Barabara could not get it on so she went and found a random male and asked him to put it in. She did not check anything and sent us on our way. This took another 20 minutes. 2 miles down the trailer fell off the hitch in the road. Luckily we were safe, but I had my 3 month old baby with me and it was extremely terrifying. I called her to let her know and she said "oh this is just too much, I am just so upset.' She came to find us 20 minutes later and put the trailer back on then said "oh I don't think the guy tightened it." It is not a random guy's responsibility to ensure the trailer is installed properly. then before she left the parking lot we were able to pull into she says, "I think you are good, but you might want to have someone else check it just incase." Luckily, we were able to have a family friend some check it and he confirmed that it was still very loose and that the trailer system was rusted and the thread to tighten the trailer to the itch was worn. He had some tools to ensure it stayed together. On our trip from CA to OR I checked my bank account and to my surprise my bills was over $400. I was never told that there was a change to my reservation amount when I received the trailer and when I called Barbara back she said "oh ya, I thought your price was low so I did change it, did I forget to tell you?" She did forget to tell me and that is not what I authorized my card for. This whole experience was terrifying and I will not be renting from Uhaul again. Uhaul needs better protocol to ensure their locations are properly trained on their computer and equipment systems. My mother was also in the car with me and my child and this put all of our lives in danger.
