don't let your dealers lie to customers! I was told that i couldn't make a reservation at the counter in person. It had to be only on line. I also noticed that the attendant got bent out of shape that i couldn't use my phone to complete the contract. Not a good outlook.

Chris MI was disappointed that I was unable to drop off where I was scheduled for. I was told when I picked it up that I had to drop it off in Santa Maria which was not the agreed upon drop off location. The agreed upon location was San Luis Opisbo. Therefore, I took it to the closest dropoff and I was charged I think an extra $300. It was disappointing... Louise Booth

Abigail MGreat local location. Great customer service; very professional and nice. The UHAUL online reservation program needs to be updated, however. It should make it VERY CLEAR that when you initially set the reservation, that a SECOND step is needed, which is to return to email and do the final CONFIRMATION. This UHaul location didn't actually have my reservation because I didn't know the second step was required. They took care of it right at that time and made it all work! Thanks!

jANET SI spent over $200 in gas to fill up the tank on this vehicle that was only 1/6 filled up when I received it. I used about 1/4 of a tank, then filled it up prior to return. I received a $40 credit for the gas. That's pathetic and not right.

John CI was told to park in the parking lot across the street. I asked if it was ok to park there and if it was part of the business, that of which I was told yes. I even pointed to the lot, pointing out there are "tow at owners expense" signs everywhere. I was assured that it was where everyone parks and my car would be fine. $500 later I just got my car back from being towed, which means it cost me almost $1000 to empty a small storage facility. Not only did this screw with my bank account, but now I have a disappointed and angry wife. This is unacceptable business practice.

Bryan WThe truck broke down on November 24th which was the day before thanksgiving. Not only where we able to celebrate with family it took 2 days to transfer trucks. The truck broke down twice! The wait time for assistance was 2 hours. Stuck in a remote area. The second breakdown wait was 3 hours. One passenger is propane to seizures and experienced one due to stress. A customer service representative said a case was started and someone would get back to me within 4 days. It’s been a month!! Totally not acceptable
Gloria HPhone support (Sunny) was very helpful. Location was fine - on line pick up worked OK but I wasn’t aware that a passport or other contact was necessary which added some frustration. Truck cab floor was muddy - seat was torn, window knob missing.

Francis DSorry, but I don’t feel I will use U-Haul any longer. The pick and drop off is painful. Twice now I’ve attempted to use the 24hr self check out. Bad experience overall. Most of time when dropping off almost impossible to get a strong enough cell signal. Vehicle was nice and ran well.
Kelly BIncredibly irritated with the whole process, having no option but to have to drive way out of the way to pick up and drop off truck only to then be charged for that mileage on top of my bill as well as placing a double hold on my credit card after charging my card for the ridiculous fee!!! Literally the worst u-haul process and business I’ve ever dealt with! Would never recommend to anyone and will never return!

Bruce KThe owner of Hinson’s was one of those guys in a million. He is third / fourth generation Hiinsons’s in running this tire shop and he could not have done enough for me. First, I was returning a trailer and he was set up for trucks only. He made a bunch of phone calls on my behalf until he worked it out with another guy to leave it at his place, Hinson’s, until someone else picked up. NOTE: I’m taking my wife’s car back to him for a front end alignment. I just moved to this town and I’m a customer for life.

RUSSELL VThe clerk with whom I check out the truck was rude and incompetent. The city and the company required everyone to wear masks , but this jerk did not wear one. When I requested that he put it on he started whining and complaining. Every other experience I have had with uhaul has been excellent. This guy was just a total jerk. He trashed me. He trashed uhaul. He clearly did not understand the computer system and hates doing uhaul rentals.

Anthony BThe uhaul experience is lame compared to renting from any other truck rental company — the app is super inconvenient if you are booking the car and having someone else drive it. Plus they give you Ko explanation as to how to pick up and drop off a vehicle when nobody is at the location. Customer service wasn’t terribly helpful either.
