This location was great. However, they changed it because the original location I had chosen, which was closer to my house, didn't have the size truck I needed. Then they changed my pick-up time, drop-off time and the way we could get the truck. That caused a lot more of a headache than moving already is. The app and website are extremely unreliable.KELLY G.

We were initially scheduled at 1145 Gulfway Drive at D&D automotive but the owner did not show up and would not let us take the trailer even though it was paid for. We called U-Haul and were rerouted to the Ridgewood location and received excellent service as expected. We were telling of what happened and the receptionist knew the problem location by name and the customer in the lobby also had a previous bad experience with that owner!! My question is why isn't U-Haul doing something about this lack of service that is obviously well known in the area?Gregory R.

Make sure the side mirrors can be adjusted and aren't stuck due to a combination of rust and what I can only describe as "gunk" It would also be nice if the truck I rented wasn't below 1/8th a tank of fuel. This effectively doubled the cost of the truck even after the refund for bringing the truck back with 1/3rd a tank of fuel.Trevor F.

Upon moving out I notice a few items from the back wall that had contact with the floor had water damage. I know most likely due to our extreme crazy weather we had last year is likely the culprit. truck was filthy, tire was flat, rear view window on drivers side folded all the way towards the door to where I could see my self and wouldn't stay unless I was going 50 mph or below. interior and back light were out and I didn't notice until dark when I was on I10 at dark. It just seemed like no one checked the well being of the vehicle and with COVID 19 moving rapidly for you not to at least clean the truck is a huge deal. let alone the tire, mirror and lights . It was just an awful overall experience and with calling road side assistance multiple times the inconveniences set me back a whole DAY!!!! and luckily the field manager and road side assistance helped a lot. but this was just a terrible experienceDariante E.

Stop changing peoples pick up location and time at the last minute. Then i was charged $20 for after hours when the first place I was picking up from stayed open till 5!! I've rented 2 trucks in the past month and this will be my last because of 3 different changes. Next time I'll rent from someone else.Tyra B.

The people were nice. I didn't get the truck I reserved, 20' i had to take a 26' truck. But the truck was already dirty inside cab and cargo area. Had reserved a appliance dolly, but was not available, had to use a standard dolly. Was told by customer service i would not be charged any mileage but was anyway.Gary B.

I got charged a cleaning fee when i turned it in it was windy and a couple of leaves might have fallen in so i was charged 15 dollars id like to know how the leaves from wind maybe 10 tiny leaves max in trailer constitutes 15 dollar cleaning fee? I am new to Uhaul, but based upon my experience renting other vehicles it seems odd that when turning rentals in this location expects the customer to unhitch trailers themselves, drag it yourself to where they sit on display, then park the truck backwards in line with the rest of their fleet. Maybe rental car experiences have given me unrealistic customer service expectations, but the dedicated Uhaul location I picked the equipment up from was much more helpful. The older man here seemed uninterested in getting up from his chair. Eventually the young lady did come out to direct and assist, and the younger man I spoke with days earlier was friendly and offered good information.Christopher D.

I was picking up the 20 ft truck early so they were supposed to leave the key in the lockbox and I even went the day before to verify everything and yet I get there at 7:30 am and they failed to leave the key in the lockbox. I was dropped off and had to wait and hour and a half until 9 am when the store opened. I had people meeting me 30 minutes away to help load the truck and I was late.Kathy W.

Insurance was added even though I didn't need it. Charged $880.+, which is not the rate I was quoted. Did not confirm charges before my card was ran. Should have been $760. which was charged the next day. That is a lot of money all at once when someone is moving 12 hours away. Could not just get the $120 refunded, which would have been easier I think than starting everything over and taking the additional $760 because now I'm told 3-5 business days before I can get the $880 back. Would be a good idea to confirm charges with the customer before you take their money and mess up their bank account. Also, could not believe the condition of the straps on the tow dolly, it was pointed out to us by the wonderful person in Huntsville, AL when I dropped the truck off. He was exceptional, unlike the people in Texas. Very attentive and helpful and said the straps should have been replaced a long time ago.jannie E.
First i ordered online and when i arrived to pick it up i had to redo my order. Then he took my card and attempted to force me to purchase multiple insurance options with no discussion. The appliance dolly wasn't put together correctly so i had to correct that. The straps on the ramp were attached on the inside of the ramp forcing you to drive the dolly over the straps. I move yearly and always use uhaul but probably done with that now.Mark P.
