The parking lot area was cramped and the gravel had several potholes. It was hard to navigate if more than one vehicle was in the parking area. The truck we were assigned did not have working turn signals. We later discovered that the cabin lights as well as the lights in the back of the truck did not stay on. They flashed as if they had an electrical issue. this made unloading the truck very difficult in the dark.

Your app didn't work for us to pick up the vehicle before the office opened! I had to call customer service as the reservation could not be found. Last time we rented, the reservation was canceled on us and we had to re-book. Thankfully a truck was still available. So I think the online and app experiences need some work!

The truck measurements where not accurate. On the website it says that the length inside the box is 12'5". This was not the case, and made the truck unusable. We had to return the truck and wasted time and money. Also, the mobile check-in process was tedious and difficult to complete. We were able to get a Penske truck no problem.

Very nice experience with Uhaul on Eubanks Rd, Chapel Hill. Rent uhaul here several times and the lady who helped me for my order is really nice and patient. Definitely will recommend this uhaul site to my friends.

The TruckShare pickup took 40 minutes to complete from start to finish, of which about 20 minutes were spent 'waiting' for verification. This time should either be reduced or advertised properly.

I am super impressed with the service. I am very happy with the regional sales rep who called me and set-up the lease. Leasing a truck with U-Haul was SO MUCH EASIER than I thought it"d be based on my experiences with rental car agencies.

I was told at pickup that my preferred drop off location was "full" and could not accept my return. After arriving at my destination I called UHaul Customer Service. I went through 4 consecutive rounds of being transferred to someone else before learning from "Ginger," who was very pleasant, that I could drop the truck at the location I had selected. I spent the better part of 40 minutes on hold. Very frustrating waste of time.

Trailer needed a tire. The mgr gave me a number to call to have it changed. People came out fixed it with a new tire promptly. Mgr did not have opportunity to change as previous renter brought back the trailer late.

It was very hard to start the truck, it may need servicing

wanted to rent item between 9 and 10 in morning was told by operator had to give exact time. so i said 9 . drove through terrible rain storm only to arrive to a closed store. called another location they did not have the correct item. decided to re set until monday. went there and dolly had been pushed under some telephone pole support cables , lady said field manager wanted it to be seen more. she and i had a hard time getting it out. i received a cut on my hand doing it . that is a dumb place to park that thing. the ratchets on the dolly were rusty, worn and in poor condition. will never rent one in that shape again.

I rented a van in town, drove 20 miles, returned it with the gas at the same mark having added 2 gallons. Was billed for 5.4 gallons of gas and not refilling it. Called, explained that I had a picture of the dashboard showing it refilled when I left it, asked how I could possibly have used 5.4 gallons to drive 20 miles according to their own receipt. The office person checked the van, saw it was as I said, and refunded the $23 charged to me in error. She was honest, but to my mind this was no error. It was perfectly clear that the van was refilled, and it was perfectly clear that there was no way I could have used that much gas even if I had not refilled it. Someone there is dishonest. The office person fixed it, but if I had not called and said I had a picture, the charge would have stood. Next time I rent from a different site.

Truck had obviously worn wipers - rubber strands peeling off. And it was drizzling. Can was clean but the box area was obviously covered with mud like some wiped it but did clean it. I asked for 3 dozen blankets and got 8. This was a remote pick up. Since the place was closed I had to inform them when I returned it. I won't use the remote pick up again because the quality is not good enough.

Desk personnel were unfamiliar with how to complete contract, resulting in problems when unit was dropped off. The U-Haul web application has more than a few bugs and is lacking user friendliness in both the customer and staff functions.

Only complaint was the ball hitch on trailer was of low quality and hard to lock on my hitch. Prefer a more solid hitch that isn't adjustable.

Comments are for neither the pick up or drop off locations. Original pickup location was Chapel Hill Blvd! After many emails of confirmation of my reservation and availability of such, I arrived to find the equipment on site was defective and none other was available. This was after doing the advance checking to save time!!! After the lost time of at least one hour they were going to direct me to a further distance location. I suggested the Eubanks store which was much closer, and it worked. They said they would transfer the reservation to that location! That did not happen!!! When atEubanks, they had to manually re-enter the order, even with seeing on the system. All in all not a very positive process! My original pickup time was noon. Plenty of time for someone to notify me of the lack of equipment issue! Also, the lack of system flexibility to transfer my reservation to a different location when the problem was clearly Uhaul’s equipment was again time consuming and frustrating. This place is horrible and is now full of stormwater waste. You should know hat is going on here if you don't then shame on you. I have visited 4 other storage locations all had proper drainage and we

There were 5 people ahead of us and only one guy working who was running in to do paperwork and out to show people their trucks or trailers. We had to wait about an hour. If he had another person there, to do the running around, while he did the office work, it would have gone faster. He was very polite and fast, however, and got people processed as fast as he could. Perhaps there is always a morning rush as people pick up their rentals as we were the last in line.

I paid for furniture pads and there were none in the truck. I left a comment about it and have still not received a refund from U-Haul. Overall, the charge is not large ($10), but because I didn't have any padding, I scratched some of my furniture. I will be taking my business elsewhere next time I need to rent a truck.

We were over charged by 100 miles. Our daughter reported yesterday on this site, and email sent to her stated that they would have chapel hill storage check on this today. Our calls to them before they closed at 1pm today went to voice mail. our call to customer service via 1800 468 4285 was never answered after waiting on hold for 10 minutes. Listened to at least 30 repeated instructions to use this online review. Please don’t make us have to do any more inquiries for your mistake and credit our $100 over charge as soon as possible.

We had to drive all the way to Chapel Hill to return our truck and trailer and when we got there they were closed!! Closed at 1:00 pm. Then we had to go on Uhaul website to return it and it said it was going to charge us a bunch more money because the Uhaul was late when it was actually two days early. We were supposed to get a call from a Uhaul representative but never did. The truck leaked on the driver every time it rained, he was soaked and not happy at all. Would not recommend Uhaul to anyone!
