I have rented here many times in the past and paid for all day rental. However, the text came from U-Haul and said I only had a two hour rental. So I rented at 9:15 and it said I had to have it back by 11:15 which was not true. I rushed the truck back by 11:15 only to be told it WAS an all day rental and they apologized for my inconvenience. This is from U- Haul direct and that upsets me that I had to rush but found out I did not have to in the end!

Had my receipt e-mailed back to me. Didn’t need to sign or wait for any paperwork to be completed. They even offered to back the trailer in for me, but I completed the backup on my own. Practice makes perfect.

The 2 Satellite beach uhaul providers made a huge effort to help get me into a truck when the online uhaul website changed my pickup to a location 20 miles away without letting me know. Call directly to the office you are picking up from. They are very helpful and professional. Reserving online through uhaul website is horrible.

Charlie's employees are first rate. When I picked up the trailer, upon hook up the left rear trailer light was inop. Robert fixed a broken wire to restore the light. Most helpful. Upon returning the trailer to Charlie's, I went over the items, that I found, that needed attention. Specifically, the tie down strap ratchets. They lost tension, letting the straps slip off, especially, the one on the left. I do check strap tension, at every stop, as well as tire pressure. ( It was nice to see you now balance, the wheels and tires ) Also, the safety chains, rubber safeties, were broken. And the right side ramp, pull strap, could use a new one. Nothing really to improve on. Setup rental online. Charlie’s Auto Repair had unit ready and waiting. Checkout was a breeze. Truck did what I needed it to do. Turn-in was also a snap. Guy at Charlie’s did his inspection, I paid and I received my paperwork. Could not have been smoother. Convenient location and knowledgeable staff make Charlie’s my go-to UHaul place.

The truck I rented had an issue with the transmission as it did not switch gears and revved up to very high rpm’s. I only had less than 5 miles placed on the truck and the gas needle moved quite a bit requiring me to put several dollars worth of gas in the truck for less than 5 miles of use. The attendant was professional but didn’t care and said that the needle had to be placed in the same location as rented. I purchased gas and I was not even offered an opportunity to be refunded given that I drove the truck less than 5 miles. Very unhappy with the rental truck I was given. The truck also had graffiti and gang type symbols on the side of the truck. I was informed that the truck was going to be sent for central maintenance because of the transmission issue but yet I was still giving it as a rental. I feel I should’ve been given the option to have my gas money refunded but that never happened.

ride extremely hard on neck and spine...Seat does in no way ameliorate awful comfort level. Ive driven many large trucks including 18 wheelers and seldom felt this level of dissatisfaction. Ford put some resources in to your seats,they,re abysmal

Charlie's was really helpful and a genuinely great place, also he's open later than most places around. After calling the biggest Uhaul location that had 6 units sitting on the lot- both days of the needed rental ( before and after return) I was told they did not have one available- Charlie's was recommended by yet another location and it was fantastic!!!

The personnel, at Charlie's, are very helpful and do a fine job in assisting, on the trailer rentals. The rental this time, was very good from start to finish. Trailer was in good shape, good tires and the lights all worked, as well as the rest of the equipment. They all, should be like this. These trailers pull smoothly and don't sway, that's why I keep renting them.

The guy behind the counter was not getting up to check out the cargo van. He said I am not go out in the rain to check miles and cash me out WHAT. I came in to store in the rain and he wanted me to wait till it stopped raining to check out the van. And he is the one working there? I think not. Well to bad it’s Florida it rains get up and do your job. I was working in the rain ?? use one.

15 ft truck is really 11.5ft. I was in a bad spot because I hired helpers and the truck was way smaller than advertrised. Uhaul sucks!! Charlie's is a great place, they were embarrassed at Uhaul advertising.

I rented an auto tow trailer and there were a number of issues. First, one of the safety chains, to connect to the truck was broken, and the other one had a badly bent "S" hook. The guys at Charlie's were great, in repairing and replacing parts, so I could be on my way. On I-95, in South Carolina, the left front tire of the trailer, blew out. It took about 20 minutes, after calling the so called "Hot Line " number, on the trailer, to speak with a person. We told them, we were between, mile marker 73 & 74, North Bound, on I-95, at the Truck Weigh Station. The U-haul service person, arrived 2 hours, later. He was from your facility, in Walterboro, SC. He quickly installed a new tire and went on to tell us, "they, ( who ever "they" were ) had given him the wrong directions and had sent him, South, on I-95. That's why, he was late, in getting to us. I don't know how, I could have been any more explicit, in describing our location, on I-95. It was annoying, to wait over 2 hours for help, but, more so, because, Walterboro, is only 20 miles from where we were, with the tire problem. Apparently, some of this equipment, is not getting periodic maintenance. Besides the fore mentioned problems, when renting the trailer, there were several issues that makes things easier, were not there, like, the rubber safety straps, on the "S " hooks to keep them in place. I had to use some tie-wraps, I had in my tool box. Also, one of the trailer rear lights, was inoperative. These trailers are a good way to transport my car, to car shows and I've used U-haul frequently. However, I don't think, they are being maintained, in the manner, they should be. I used this van went 12 miles return it and topped it off with fuel to find out it took over 4 gallons of gasoline, this van of 19 feet long only doses 3 miles to the gallon i don’t think so supposed to get 18 mpg someone’s not doing their job, Will I use this place again No

The reservation process was disappointing. I reserved on Wednesday for Friday morning pick-up and got a confirming email relating "Preferred Pick-up location". Thursday at 5:22pm I get a text saying my equipment was ready at a totally different and inconvenient place. Not only was the pick-up place bad, but the notice was short since I was to pick-up at 9am. Really not happy with the reservation process online. Seems like a "Bait and Switch" to lock in the rental.
