I was told the gas would start at 7/8 of tank, but it started at 1/4 of a tank. Because I had to stop for gas, I was late to the meeting with my new landlord. I also scheduled an 8am pickup two weeks in advance, and he changed it to 7:30am the day before the pickup, and cut a full hour off of the time I'd be allowed to rent the vehicle.Joshua G.
The truck was one of the worst I've ever driven. There would be no way for the pick up location to know. I found the owner at the pickup location to be excellent and he went over and above for me. With that said, I will most likely never rent from UHaul again. The truck was a pile of crap, and the trip took me two extra hours because you couldn't drive more than 62-65 most of the time. The truck shook too bad. Also, I found the cleanliness of the truck to be horrible and it smelled bad. I have nothing but the utmost respect for the agent in Glencoe. But I'm thoroughly disappointed in UHaul. Spent 2000 dollars and definitely don't think I got what I paid for.Fred C.

My original location was Bloomington and then switched to Glenco. Doable but added extra time to the pick up that we did not plan. Appreciated the extra 60 miles added to cover the distance.NEAL S.

The location was great. However the fact I was told at 5:00 the night before my pick that I had to drive an hour, vs 5 minutes, to pick it up was disappointing to say the least. Terrible way to manage expectations.Randall G.
This uhaul place goes above and beyond. It's you uhaul itself that sucks big time!!!! Your rates are to high. To deal with you sucks beyond sucks!!! I've had to rent 5 trailers from you in 14 months no discounts no nothing period but a huge headache from not the places themselves but uhaul directly. Your company and manners suck prices are way to damn high yet your customers mean nothing to you period. It's all about your damn money money money.Kathryn E.

Dealer told me that service rep from U-haul was out but the tailgate needed a crowbar to raise. Dealer sprayed the track to help it raise and lower a bit easier.Kenneth Z.

I had a terrible experience with U-Haul, including them first switching my pick-up location, then losing my reservation, and finally sending me over an hour away to pick up a truck that ended up not being available. The man who ran the Glencoe location was very helpful and accommodating - he let me take the 10 foot truck (I had rented a 15) that is supposed to stay within Glencoe across state lines. I will unfortunately not use U-Haul in future truck rentals because of the unprofessionalism from managers and the inconveniences that occurred because of U-Haul's system.Dylan G.

We didn't fill the gas, but figured we'd just get a charge for it (which we did). Hours later I got a nasty phone call from an unpleasant man telling me I didn't fill the tank and left the blankets unfolded (which we didn't request). Speaking as a Customer Service Manager, he was not very customer friendly. We will take the extra time to drop off elsewhere next time.Alexander D.

The guy was a a**hole if you ask me not very nice at all we were running late to get the car dolly and running late to get it back i said I needed it for 3 hours but it took 3 hrs and 45 mins but about 3:50 he called me and was asking if i was on my way back yet and my 3 hrs wasn't even up i have rented uhauls before but this is my worst one everMelissa N.

Would not recommend uhaul to a friend. Very poor experience unrelated my experience once there. Was told two days prior I'd have to travel over an hour to get my truck. My previous location was 1 of 3 in town. At this point it's too late to change companies. They should have driven a truck to one of the locations closer to me. At the very least should have reimbursed gas to and from. They did not.Jeremiah F.

I was not happy that the truck I rented was sitting in 10+ inches of snow that we had to walk thru to get to the truck. The hood was also covered in snow/ice. I would have expected that the truck would have been cleaned off and parked in a location that was more convenient for the customer. We couldn't even open the back sliding door due to it being frozen shut so we didn't know if there was damage or if it was clean until the next day. It was 30 below wind chill the day before and below 0 wind chill the day we picked it up but still - isn't that part of the job when renting Uhauls? Also, the man who checked us out really wasn't all that helpful. Didn't really explain anything. I won't recommend this place to anyone.Mary K.

The folks I dealt with in Hutchinson and Glencoe were terrific and I'd recommend them anytime. However, the entire U-Haul reservation process sucks royally. If I make a reservation for a truck for a specific date/time, then said truck should be confirmed as reserved on the spot instead of telling me U-Haul can't confirm the reservation until 24-48 hours before the need-by date (in this case, the reservation was made one week in advance). The reservation system should be modeled after the method used by any car rental company found at any airport.mary B.

The owner needs serious customer service education. He wasn't offensive but his attitude was short and unhelpful. He pointed to the vehicle while in his shop and did not walk me out or ask me if I had any questions about the truck and or teaching me what I needed To drive. I found him to be unfriendly and in need of continued retirement!!!!Reanna J.
Two days before we were to pickup our 10' rental, we received a call saying they didn't have one at the location of pickup. We could drive an hour away to get one or use a 15' truck. We opted for the 15' since I asked if we could have it for the same price and they agreed. The passenger side wiper blade needed replacing and they did it right on the spot.Diana E.

Your first agent I talked to caused my order to be cancelled due to not recording my phone number correctly. This almost caused me to loose my truck had I not called back a second time way late in the day and redid my order. This did upset me greatly until I new I had a truck for the following morning as I took vacation to make the move I needed to. Please attempt to correct this issue from now on.dave S.

Give the customer the equipment he has reservations for. Reserved a 26' got a 15'. Had to make 2 trips, your advantage as you got more miles. Guess that is what you want.Eugene S.

I booked a reservation for a U-Haul online. I picked my preferred location and truck size. Upon booking, there was no indication that either would be an issue. In fact, I rented the same truck size from this location just a few weeks prior without issue. Unfortunately, the location closest to us did not have any U-Haul trucks for rental on the day we requested. I received a call from the U-Haul customer service representatives whom were all very kind and helpful. We touched base up to the rental date in hopes that a truck would become available. We were not successful but one did become available slightly closer to our location. We requested that the truck be a 24/7 pickup as we would not make it to the location prior to it's offices closing. This was not done. The U-Haul location informed us to call them instead (after hours) for pickup. When we did so, we were able to pick up the truck. We were informed that the truck had 3/4 tank of gas and to replenish the fuel prior to returning. However, the truck only had 1/2 tank at pickup. We did not go back to the office as it was late and the attendant was no longer in the office. I suspect this would have been an issue even for a 24/7 pickup. We were also not informed that we would have to pay the mileage of this other pickup location. In the end, we were surprised that we had to not only pay more for the truck but fill an extra 8 gallons of gas that we did not use. This was very disappointing considering how great my U-Haul experience was just a few week prior.Timothy L.

We had a very disappointing experience. We had a 5x8 rental set for Gaylord, MN after being told that the one I reserved on-line was not available at our preferred location. We drove completely out of or way to Gaylord and the location was closed. Called Uhaul and was told that someone left us a voicemail with a change. That was not true. We then drove back to Gaylord and thankfully they ahd the trailer that we needed and had great service there. With the amount of time and gas that we spent driving out of our way, I feel we should have had more credit to our order. We still had to pay $30+ from our $62 bill. I returned the truck during the hours of operation. No one was there. I called the person and dropped of the key. I filled up the tank to a quarter tank as where it was when I got it. I got an email saying there was only an 1/8 a tank, they charged me 54$ for service fee and fuel charges. I know for a fact there was a 1/4 tank? I think they must do this to everyone to make a few extra dollars. I am very frustrated with them. The lady said she thought it was empty? I don't think she turned the truck on, to see the gage. Have proper size unit available if rented well enough in advance. I reserved my truck two weeks prior to moving and you still downgraded my truck size which costed me an extra $30 out of pocket because I had to make multiple trips. I was told I would get extra mileage added for my trip and no I was still charged an extra $30 on top of being double charged for your faulty computer program. Also have your computer systems updated. We were doubled charged because your computer system froze and couldn't find our order and because the person working behind the counter was impatient with technology we paid an extra $200 on top of the $200 we already paid. Also never received the furniture dolly I rented either.TYLER S.
I requested to pick up in New Ulm. I had to pick up in Glencoe but the person there did not factor in the mileage to New Ulm to get my stuff. When I returned the U Haul to the location I had registered to they told me I had gone over my mileage allotment. I feel the facility in Glencoe was not very well trained.Kathleen T.
