Once I got on the road after loading the uhaul for a 17hour drive I noticed the uhauls AC was NOT Working!! After numerous calls to uhaul and the place i picked up and I was to drop off I kept getting the run around! So I made the miserable 17 hour drive with no AC. It was 90 degrees in the cab of the uhaul. Very disappointed with customer service and from the run around and no one taking responsibility I will definitely think twice about renting from uhaul for future needs.Bailey G.

I was charged $817 more than a month after I returned the rental trailer, with no notice, a fee on a $208 rental for having returned it to the wrong location. When I call U-Haul, they say to call U-Haul rep Mike Agnew at the Truck Stop, when I call the Truck Stop, they tell me Mike Agnew does not work there, and upon pressing they provided me with his phone number. After two days of messages left by UHaul and myself, he has not returned my phone calls. The hard truth is: when they have your credit card info and you are an out-of-town customer, the local affiliate feels they can charge whatever they like. Suffice to say, I will never provide credit card information to U-Haul again, and I strongly urge everyone not to endure the nightmare I have.John W.

At this location it took a long time to check in due to computer issues. The lady waiting on me bounced from the computer, IPad, to a phone. It was the longest time to check in, probably over 30 minutes all due to computer issues. I've used Uhaul several times over the past ten years and never had such a long check in. Someone from the IT Dept needs to go to that location and figure out the issue. This is the only issue causing them not to have an excellent rating. It was frustrating for us and the two workers trying to figure everything out,Stephen O.

Manual check in was a bit of a joke. I received a text stating that I could do a self check in (which was appreciated). However, the uhaul website was not allowing me to upload a photo. 3 phone calls later and a â€œnoteâ€ was added to my reservation stating this. I really don't know if my rental was checked in or not. There had better not be any additional charges.Mark D.

I cannot stress enough the value of the SafeTow Insurance.l, especially if the leasor is hauling a long distance. I hit a deer ?? on my way between hauls that smashed the front of the trailer. I was able to drop the trailer off and walk away without spending a dime more than the SafeTow premium.JOHN H.

I had never used the mobile check in process to return equipment after hrs and no one explained it to me, had a phamplet or anything on it. I drove back and forth to my house twice and had to look up online, NOT on the uhaul website since your worthless website does not have step by step instructions on how to do that till you are actually actively checking in the equipment. Please check with people and show and explain to them what will be needed in order to check something in after hours. Also, you have 2 options on your website to check a rental status. One - create an account. Two - use your email and rental number. The second does not work. If this is a ploy to force people to create an account and get spam emails, then congratulations. If not, please get this resolved. Either way, it took me almost an hour to just rent a tow dolly.Christopher P.

We had to get our tire fixed in Ames, IA, when we returned, since the front-right wheel had a large bolt/nail stuck in it. This added on three hours of time to our move-in day, which set our move back three hours by the time we were able to load everything up from Ames, IA, and drive down to Minnetonka, MN. The store in Ames couldn't do anything for the tire, so we had to call and go online to get the U-Haul help to finally come and fix the tire. It was super frustrating and added even more stress to an already stressful moving experience. Fortunately, the help team was helpful when we called the customer service and they did a good job of making sure that the tire was fixed by calling and texting to give us updates. I only wish we wouldn't have had to deal with this. Nothing about getting the U-Haul was easy. Overall, we had a 7-hour round trip from Ames to Algona (to get the truck) to Hampton (to get the tow dolly) and back to Ames, just to get all of the equipment we needed (since Ames, Ankeny and Des Moines did not have equipment available, nor did anywhere nearby Ames). Then, we had the issue with the nail/bolt in the tire on Saturday morning (move-in day). I'm lucky my dad saw it before we left! I'm not sure when this occurred, but I hope that the store would do inspections to check for these sorts of things before issuing trucks and equipment to customers. Everything about this experience was frustrating, even if staff and people were friendly along the way.Melissa G.
When someone deserves a truck online make sure they receive what they are supposed to. I ordered a 26 foot truck and was told the day before the move it is unavailable, then I reserve a 20 foot truck and never received it!!! Ended up have to use a 5x8 trailer to move a 4 bedroom house.Trent W.

I went online did express pick up. I was at the pick up location approx. 45 min. He deleted my truck I paid for a 20' he only had 15' . I was recharged for a 15' plus utility cart I had already paid for. The gas tank was not full. The truck was filthy. I took pictures. I recurved the refund 4 days later (partial refund) I was double charged for the utility cart. I took pictures of the dirty truck and gas gauge.Julia F.

Uhaul that a person orders should be at location that's in the email and not 2.5 hrs away. Had to settle on a 15 ft plus a 6x12 trailer instead of the 26 ft truck I ordered and email said I could pick up at the chrome. Very unsatisfied with that situation.Chad S.
