The bed of the van had litter in it and should have been swept out. There was less gas in the van than we were told. We informed our rental agent as he was walking away and he said he'd fix the paperwork, which he did not do. We were charged a ridiculous amount for gas which we did not use. We were also told the CDW charge was mandatory but when I called U-Haul's 800 number I was told that is very much NOT the case. In short, we were lied to, given a vehicle with less gas than we were told, and massively overcharged after the fact.

The customer service rep at this location was unable to print my contract. She tried to get me to sign a contract that had only furniture pads listed on it, not the truck I rented and not the insurance. I returned the truck, and the next day I got a text message saying that my rental was overdue. She is incompetent and I will use another truck rental service in the future.

We were not sure how we were to drop off the uhaul - no worker was present at this location and kind of felt deserted, so we called u-haul for help.

Literally the worst service I've ever experienced. No one could answer any questions at this location. I kept being referred to different people. The U-Haul was picked up at 11am it broke down at 12:30pm only 20mins away from pick up location. It took 4 hours for roadside assistance to bring a tow truck (after being told by a representative they do not provide replacement equipment). After arriving at a new location to pick up a different U-Haul at 5:30pm we were told we have to have it back by 11:00am the next day (even though I reserved it for 24 hours and traveling 4 1/2 hours away round trip) then to top it all offer were charged two days instead of 24 hours with no deductions. Horrible horrible experience

I was very dissatisfied with my uhaul experience. I had chosen a pickup location that was a mile from our apartment, and I understand that the location isn't a guarantee. What upset me was the available locations were all 30 minutes away. When I called to explain the inconvenience of the locations, the customer service rep was less than happy to help. She explained that I was basically stuck with those locations. After 30 minutes, she finally booked it at a location 15 minutes away, but still not completely convenient. Then I was told my total would be $40 less than the original price due to be inconvenience. However, when my husband picked the truck up, I was charged $233 instead of the $157 I was told. I will never use or recommend uhaul again.

The storage location itself was fine-- the employee working at City Center Self Storage was very nice. However, the U-Haul field manager that I dealt with over the phone (Allen Lacaria) allowed the person renting the 15' Truck prior to me keep it for 2 hours past my reserved time of pick-up (10:00am). I had 2 people drive 2 hours to help me move and another person rearrange his whole day so that we could be done moving at a reasonable hour. I wasn't able to pick up the truck until 12:15pm. It was absolutely unacceptable. To put it lightly, I was furious. I will never trust renting a U-Haul again.

I rented a $19/day van to haul an old analog TV from my mothers house at 621 Crawford St. to a recycle plant in Plum. I returned the van with out replacing the little fuel I used and told the gentleman that rented the van to me. He told me to not worry about it. I left thinking all was well until I flew back to Georgia and checked my account. I was charged $12 initially and then charged another $53.83. Help me understand please.

I rented a cargo van for my move from Pittsburgh to Brooklyn and was upgraded to a 10' truck. It wasn't until I called several other UHAUL locations in Pittsburgh that I learned that cargo vans are not available for one-way moves. If had known this information earlier, I would have used a different company. The online rental process never indicates that certain vehicles are not available for one-way moves. If that's the case, that information should be included on the website.

Have them warn customers about the provisions in the contract for refolding furniture pads and sweeping out the truck - which is a ridiculous provision by the way. I don't have to sweep out a rental car.

You SUCK. I reserved on-line 2 weeks prior. When I arrived, 30min delay as the clerk checked out wrong vehicle. Had 1/4 tank of gas. Was filthy inside...some kind of waxy spooge was all over the cup holders. No dollys included (extra $$$ -really?). I returned the vehicle AT THE RESERVED LOCATION. Days later I got a call from UHaul asking where the truck was? Really??? HOW COULD YOU NOT KNOW?! You SUCK, you SUCK, you SUCK. I will now look at my bill...I can just imaging how farked up that is...Oh, did I mention: YOU SUCK.

When I first got there I had to wait outside for half an hour because no one was at the front desk & the door was locked. Their prices are nowhere near what they advertise & the guy @ the front desk tried to have me drop off the truck on the north shore. If I would have done that I would have been late for work. Overall a very unproffessional place.

Had to stand outside for nearly 15 minutes before anyone came to the door to help us. While the person was very nice that eventually came he had been in another area of the building fixing sprinkler heads and there was no one else in the store to receive the truck.

Difficult to get to but the ease of drop off was good and there was security since it was after hours. I would have been a bit more uneasy if I had been alone.

After fighting with U-Haul about getting equipment at this location that I had reserved 1 week in advance, I was sent an hour our of Pittsburgh to find equipment not available. Once the central U-Haul office fixed this mistake was I able to pick up the correct equipment at this location. Your representative at this location - Julie - was extremely helpful and courteous in our dealings and should be commended on making the rental at this location extremely easy and relaxing after U-Haul central boloxed up the rental in the first place.

The drop off location was supposed to "read the notes" on my rental and that an adjustment would be made for the inconvenience? And I was not going to be charged for any mileage overages. No adjustments were made and mileage was charged.

The thing is I drove my vehicle for just 11 miles and I am being charged for 61 miles. the total mileage was 1428 miles when I dropped the vehicle off and when I saw the report, it said 1478 miles.

I thought I was making a rental at the Liberty Ave. store but found out the transferred me to a place about 5 miles farther away. At the 4th St. store the attendant didn't know anything about the cardboard boxes I supposedly had paid for but he did give me some anyway. Had to scrape ice and snow off of the truck.
