My rental was a rip off i was told i had a 1 way rental to go from Pleasantville nj to Philadelphia pa to Roosevelt blvd. They charge me 267.00 Where it was supposed to be 173 47 cents i had to pay some one to take me back down to Pleasantville nj cost me over 350.00 not happy at all Uhaul told me there s nothing they can do i will not tell any to rent from Uhaul i know a lot of people that use Uhaul but not for long

The location itself was fine. The people I dealt with were really nice. With that said, the experience with Uhaul in general was absolutely awful. I needed a 20' truck to move from NJ to Florida and booked it well in advance. I showed up to City Wide to pick up my truck at 9am as scheduled. Nobody was there. I called the number and someone answered saying they had an emergency and would be there in 10 minutes. They were there in 10 minutes, no big deal. Once they were open though I was told there were no trucks and that they pushed the order back to Uhaul the day prior. The guy from City Wide was calling around and doing whatever he could do but this is just not acceptable. Not only did Uhaul change my pickup location the day before I needed to pick up the truck but they literally had no truck for me to use because someone prior did not return a truck the night before. While I understand that part of the fault lays on that person, there is no way that there should be no contingency plan. They could not find another truck for me anywhere until I got a call about an hour later saying there was a truck all the way in Delaware. Between having work, hotels booked, and packers waiting at the house, the fact that I was sitting there with about an 1,100 mile road trip in front of me with no truck was the worst feeling in the world and I will do anything I can to avoid renting from Uhaul again. SO I WOULD RATE CITY WIDE 4/5, I WOULD RATE UHAUL 1 OUT OF 5 STARS. Worst experience and caused me so many issues. The guy did end up returning the truck about 2 hours later and I did take it since it was my only way down to Florida.

I contacted uhaul and was recommended to use EZpass/electronic tolling and was told to pay at drop off. When I asked at drop off, I was told that this was not available and I would have to contact uhaul. I contacted uhaul and was told to call back as no tolls had posted yet. I would not recommend this based on review of feedback after the fact stating that late charges are often issued by uhaul inappropriately.

The check in process on the phone is frustrating and the person at the facility ended up having to do most of it over again. He was very nice about it, but I would recommend in most cases that people just check in at the desk.

It was hard to find the drop off location as there was very little signage out front in reference to U-Haul. Otherwise it was a pleasant experience.

Giovanni at Citywide was very knowledgeable and helpful. The cost of returning the truck to a different location was ridiculously exorbitant. We were deeply disappointed with the fact that we not only had to pay for mileage, but we had to refill the tank! Car rental companies do not do this, it's either or. The $29.95 price on the side of the truck is misleading: after all the fees, mileage and fuel, the total costs were more than 10 times that.
