Pick up location was changed without notifing me. Truck bed had trash and cockroaches in it from previous renters. I had to debug the bed before I could use the truck.Randall W.

Their employee's are rude and do not know how to provide good customer service or how to run an office, they called every morning to harass me about a $23.00 payment when the Van was not due until 7:00pm. They even left a random voicemail pretending to be someone from a local business stating that I won $1,000.00 and to call them back as soon as possible. Using someone's business name without permission is illegal (to be prosecuted in civil court) When I finally called that number back it was the CJ's employees, they told me I owed a lot of money and that I needed to stop playing games... When I asked what the total due was they replied with $23.00. All that work they put into for $23.00 when the van was not even due until 3 hours later. Someone needs to go provide them with a few basic Business and Business ethics lessons. THEN I received a bill adding on an additional day along with adding on $400 additional to my bill. The staff was very helpful; however, the bed of the truck wasn't swept out. I'm sure they would have if I asked, but I didn't notice until after I left the facility. I'd rent here again as the overall experience was still good.BRANDON S.
I had horrible experience with Uhaul. I could not change the drop off location on-line. So I called to change the drop off location. The representative I talked to made notes but did not update my request in the system. So when I got to the pick-up location they would not give me a truck because I wanted it One-way instead of in city. This was not my fault. 1717 S. Walnut Street, Bloomington, IN should of given me the truck I reserved despite how I wanted to use it. So I had to call the 1-800 number at the counter to get help. Eventually I had to go to another location to pick-up a truck which was at CJ's Auto & Rentals. Plus I found out my rental would be over $400 when I thought it would be $40 plus mileage. I feel that U-haul is price gouging their customers during a crucial time of change during family's lives. We were on a short time frame. I had to move my daughter from Indiana University and get my son back in time for prom. However, I wasted over an hour picking up a truck that should only took a few minutes. Needless to say I will never rent from U-haul again. I will also share my experience with family and friends in order to seek other alternatives. I want to say CJ Auto was great and efficient, however I am disappointed the overall rental experience and the Walnut location.Herbert U.

Pull this locations contract. Cj (the owner) is insanely rude. Threatening (outside his U-Haul contract and legally) to charge me all the lost reservation earnings plus a new rental contract if I couldn't return the truck by noon. He then called back and tried to back track when he found out who I was. I have recordings of all my phone calls with him and my pickup and drop off videos of the truck.dyllan J.
Cashier/ representing clerk was very rude, the truck still had trash in the cab from the previous renter and the only parking for my personal car was a block away. Overall a bad experience.chris D.
Business seems to be growing which may pinch the capacity to park cars left in the lot while renters are driving a UHAUL. But I cannot say enough good things about the team of guys that moved our client into a three story walk-up apartment. They were real horses, but very professional and courteous, and it was a pleasure to work with them. Thanks.bill M.

hi, i spoke to CJ over the phone, only briefly to give him my debit card information. he told me the charge would be 200 dollars and some change (dont remember the exact number but right over 200$) i agreed to the 200$ charge. You see i had nothing to do with anything that was being rented, i was just letting a friend borrow 200$ so he could move his stuff, would have given him cash but he lives to far away so i agreed to just pay his 200$ fee with my debit card. I dont trust my debit information with individuals but i expect a company or a place of buisness to be professional with this delict information. So, as i was saying. me and CJ talk and agree to the 200$ charge .Well 2 weeks later my debit card gets charged for 1200$ yes 1200$ thats not a typo. im sure this company is owed that money by the individuals who actually signed a contract and used the equipment. i have nothing to do with them, me and CJ argeed on a 200$ ammount over the phone for my debit card use , that was the end of my part in it. if CJ would have told me that the 200$ was only a temporary charge that could be increased as he saw fit i would have never agreed to any such thing. I dont believe that CJ purposely withheld this information from me just to get my info. but his failure to do so has cost me 1200$, i expect this company to be professional and give me back the money the was taken without my concentrichard R.

Place was a dump. Muddy gravel lot. Office was dirty and cramped. Truck was issued with a check engine light. I had to clear empty boxes from back of truck. My initial impulse was to turn around and go down the street to Budget or Penske, but I was on a time-table and decided to put my trust in the U-Haul name. They forgot to issue the Dolly that was on my reservation.Steven K.
CJ's Auto and Rentals is my go-to whenever I need to haul/tow a car. They always have a car trailer however they book fast. Courteous and personable, they make renting so easy and they actually explain the proper operation of the equipment and are not rude and arrogant. Martinsville store can learn a bit from them with regards to customer service.James G.
