The check in process was easy at Clark’s, they were friendly and had the uhaul warming up for me. A very pleasant experience and I will definitely rent from them again.

I was held hostage and extorted by U-Haul. I made a one-way reservation for a truck from Vancouver WA to Molalla Oregon. I picked up the truck with no problems but when I went to return the truck in Molalla I was told that I need to return the truck in a different town, because Molalla had too many trucks and could not accept any returns. I spoke with the reservation manager on the phone and told her that I contracted to return in Molalla, but she told me that was not possible and I need to drive 30 minutes out of my way to take the truck to a different location. I told her that I don't see how that is my problem since my contract was to return to Molalla, and how many trucks they had there was their issue not mine. When I insisted that I needed to drop off the truck in Molalla as we had agreed she got very belligerent and said if I dropped it off there I would be charged an Additional $400 for dropping off at the wrong location. I asked how can it be the wrong location when it is where I contracted to go. She told me that it is the wrong location because she is telling me it is, and I must drop off where she tells me to go. The drop off she wanted me to take the truck to was 25-30 minutes away. I said if I do that then I am not paying for extra mileage and gas. She said I will waive the extra miles if there are any but you have to pay for the gas! I have to pay for the gas to go out of my way to help you get a truck to where you want it to go and not where it is what I contracted for. This is Extortion, and I have heard of moving companies pulling this kind of shady stuff where they hold your belongings unless you pay a higher rate, but now it seems U-Haul has decided to extort customers and not allow them to drop off the truck at the location they contracted for a pay a very high fee.Very bad customer service and very poor business practice.

Offer a gas credit to customers if they return the truck with more gas than when they picked it up. Maintain your trucks better. The attic portion leaked water in and as a result got many of my boxes and household goods very wet and probably ruined the contents as I had to rush to get goods into storage. Probably going to be a lot of mold damage as a result of the truck cargo area not being water tight. Very irritating experience. Should have gone with different source.

Briefing for turning after regular hours was inadequate. Did not know that "smart-phone" was needed. Also that if you do have a "smart-Phone" be sure to start the on-line check-in BEFORE dropping keys and contract in box. Pictures required of instrument panel.

The truck was clean but had an overwhelming smell of marijuana. I was nervous using this truck to hold my household goods that they would come out smelling of marijuana. This was the only 26-foot truck there and I needed it or I would not have taken this truck.

I brought the truck back with the exact amount of fuel . They wrote down 3/4 tank on the paper but it was less than that ! So they charge me 8 (eight) dollars for 1.7 gal. 1.5 gallon should be the Grace bar. I wonder if they give money for the extra fuel people put in on returning the trucks..

The vehicle was a safety hazard as the seatbelt was unusable. When I turned off the truck the ignition came out with the key, it took 30 minutes to figure out a fix. The gas peddle was the size of a popsicle stick causing it catch when braking, creating a dangerous braking/acceleration situation. Uhaul deliberately put a bag of blankets and hand truck in the back to try to over charge you and it make space in the truck unusable. I truly believe the NTSB, the TSA, BBB, and ODOT should investigate Uhaul. I could have died and or have seriously injured myself or someone else.

I needed a 6 by 12 or at least a 6 ft wide flatbed trailer with a ramp I have a motorcycle with a sidecar. But your normal 6x12 with a ramp does not have a wide enough opening to get the bike on and the other 6 x12 you have had a wide enough opening but no ramp. You need more 6 ft wide trailers with ramps and the opening on that trailer needs to be that same 6ft wide. You really should consider just getting some lightweight aluminum utility trailers for hauling motorcycles and ATVs that are lightweight have a ramp for easy loading. Your normal 6 x 12 trailers are very heavy and more of an Overkill then what some people need. I'm sure there are a lot of people that would love to rent a simple lightweight utility trailer like you can buy for $1,200 at Coastal Farm supply. I am betting you would rent more of them than you do regular trailers. Once the motorcycle and ATV owners find out you have these lightweight trailers for rent, I'm sure they would be looking at you to rent them for the weekends to go camping or even for a week or more. I know I would rent one to go to something like Sturgis with my motorcycle but I would not rent one of your heavy trailers for that same purpose. Just a little food for thought is all. And since these are a lightweight trailer you could probably make it mandatory that insurance be put on it at the time of renting to ensure that if it gets stolen or damaged you get paid. I myself would be more than happy to pay that little bit extra to guarantee I get a lightweight trailer rather than one of those really heavy trailers.

The vehicle process should have greater lead time with respect to information that must be approved, or let customers know to expect to wait 20 minutes after arrival before they can get into the vehicle.

I rented the truck on line for one of my drivers and he was having trouble getting the right information to the lady at the counter. She got on the phone with me and had it all solved in just a couple of minutes!! Thanks for helping with the last minute rental needed in an emergency. Sorry I didn't get her name, but she was nice and helpful.

The van was dirty the 24/7 share app didn't work so I had to wait a day to get the van. Get to the location only to be waited on in 20 minutes and then had an employee ask another employee "so no one came for the van last night huh? " then rolled her eyes and made a motion of DISGUST so I butted in to tell her she was talking about me and that their system didn't work. Then after only driving 6 miles they charged me the quoted price for 10 miles and the price of the milage was higher THAN ADVERTISED ON THEIR SITE. Spent 5 calls with uhaul only to have them diagnose MY PHONE , hang up on me, transfer me to customer service over and over only to get disconnected again.
