DEBRA MILESWe needed to sign a piece of paper and pick up the trailer, but we weren't acknowledged for almost 20 minutes. We had already driven 50 minutes out of our way, with no warning that we would be sent from our original location to this one because the original location didn't have our trailer. I don't want to blame this location for our dissatisfaction, but the overall experience was below par and took 2 hours out of what we already knew would be a very busy day. No one attempted to contact me about the location change. I have no missed calls or voicemails from that time, and no emails or texts referring to a change in location.

DUSTIN POOLEThis was the worst experience I've ever had with U-Haul. Frankly I'm not sure if I'll utilize U-Haul again. Made an online reservation for a 6x12 enclosed trailer. Went to pick it up and there wasn't one, the location saw where in the system it said had one reserved but they didn't have one. They called U-Haul who said they'd call us back. When I was called back was told that they found one for us. However, it was in Ft. Worth, going to pick it up there would have been over 60 miles round trip and would have added over 120 miles by the time it was returned. Asked if there was a way to waive the mileage fee on a small van. The agent told me she couldn't, ended up taking an open air trailer since had already had movers lined up to move items. Agent kept saying well I did find you the trailer that you're looking for. Had no compassion or the willingness to ensure our issue was resolved.

Then he charged me for an extra day because I was an hour late even though he had the same trailers sitting in the yard that could have been rented by anyone wanting to do business with such people.

Also was told that there was half a tank of gas but when we picked it up but when we dropped it off was told we were being charged over $9 because it was over a half a tank we were suppose to put back not just half a tank.

I just rented a smaller truck to bring stuff to storage. Again, excellent service from pick up to drop off. Really funny guys. Will do more business with them in the future.

Drusilla RinaudoI was disappointed with u haul as I made my choice online for 18.95, then it changed to 24.95 at checkout, then added the protection for 8.00 that I had removed while reserving. After taxes and unexpected fees, 20 turned into almost double that!

Sherri ThomasI did not have an issue with the rental location itself, but I did have huge issues with U-Haul in general and the website reservation systems. I went online and reserved a cargo van weeks ahead of my need date in my hometown of Weatherford, TX. Just before my reservation date, I weas alerted that the van I reserved would not be available. So my reservation was shifted to Cliff's in Springtown, TX ±20 miles further away. Upon arrival on my reservation day, the van had not yet been returned and may not be back for my reservation. So U-Haul Traffic said we could go to Azle, TX (another 15-20 miles) and pick up a 15' truck instead of van. More than what I needed and more expensive, but ok, I needed something. I get to Azle and try to do a mobile pick up, but cannot even get enough reception in this rural area to complete the pick up. And then Cliff's let us know that the cargo van was back now. So we drove back to Springtown for the van. Sad thing is, NO ONE with U-Haul acted as if these issues were of any consequence at all and could care less that they had just ran a customer through the wringer for van rental. If you make a reservation online, the equipment should be there! And you certainly should not make a customer drive 60-80 miles out of their way to eventually get the equipment without an apology at the minimum or most likely a rental discount for compensation. With this kind of customer service, no more U-Haul rentals for me. My business will always go elsewhere even if I have to pay more.

He said I had to stop by the office where he could take a picture of the hook up. Had to wait another 20 minutes for him to take a picture. I had a appointment to pick something up at 10:00 am. Caused me to b a hour late. When I return the trailer same thing. He didn’t have time to unhook it. I had to do it myself. Went back in the office I told him I got it unloaded, he said he would check it in later he didn’t have time to do it then. I left. Sorry customer service!!!

I had to contact uhaul customer service who then got in touch with the regional manager. The regional manager did get me the refund I was owed for the safe tow. When asking anyone at cliffs Automotive about what happened I just got a bunch of "I don't know" answers.
