The only issue I had was there is no cell phone coverage at this location. When trying to pick up the truck before the location was opened I was not able to use the mobile app to get the truck or to drop it off. Once the location opened up, the attendant there was very helpful and went out of his way to get us on the road quickly.

Lance RRented many u-hauls over the years, this truck was not very well maintained. The turn signals did not work, and when the truck was locked you had to open it from the passenger side as the lock on drivers side did not work with key.
John DI made a reservation 2 weeks in advance for a location near my residence. On the day of the move, 15 minutes before I was scheduled to pick up the truck, I got a text saying there was a change and someone would call me. No one called, so I called them. At that time I learned that the truck available to me was switched to a location that was 15 miles from home vs the 4 miles for the location that I had reserved the truck under reservation guarantee. I had no option to pick a different location that would have been closer for me. Although I tried multiple avenues and spoke with multiple people within U Haul, I was not allowed to return the truck at a closer location. Out of consideration I was refunded the $50 reservation guarantee, however to my surprise I was then charged over $50 in fuel charges and surcharges. The truck had less than 1/4 tank of fuel when I picked it up (very poor customer service and maintenance). I made 1 trip of only 4 miles to the new residence. A total of 35 miles was recorded on the truck due to the far distance I had to drive to pick up/drop off the truck. I put $10.00 of fuel in it and was still charged for gas and a fee for not returning it at 1/4 tank. These are very unfair business practices and does not feel like they should be legal.
Stephanie VThe front desk lady (sorry I did not ask for her name) was very kind and helpful, it was a cols day and I chose to pickup and drop off the truck using mobile app but the app was very slow, she asked me to come inside the office and helped me with checkin, drove me to where the truck parked so I did not have to walk under the cold. She did the same when I dropped of the trunk. I am very thankful for her help, would definitely recommend Compass for friends.

James WThere was one problem with my vehicle, perhaps it is a manufacturer problem because a sticker on the dashboard mentions the problem. When the engine is hot, it heats up the floor area on the driver side. The heat can be very intense, discomforting, and distracting. I thought I was about to experience an engine malfunction until I read the sticker.

I just moved here and had received my temporary Georgia Drivers License, which was not recognized by U-Haul’s online checkout system. The U-Haul dealer didn’t open until 10:00 am and I wanted an 8:00 am truck reservation. She helped me get the truck. Return was all online because the U-Haul dealer had locked the front door to do other business on site. I’m pretty good at online stuff, but many others my age (70), may not be so able to do all this business online, especially if there’s any hiccups. Good truck, easy day, glad I had the kids to help load and unload all their stuff.

Serghei ZIf you're going to spend money on internet check-in and check-out, please put more money towards making the mobile aspect less clunky. I still prefer talking to a person to rent and return but when I'm forced to use the app, I end up angry. Using the website on a computer is fine but the mobile version is just miserable.
MALCOLM AThe lady who was operating the rental counter was incredibly rude and threatened to cancel my reservation. I reserved from 9:30-1:30, and she immediately told me that I should have called the location instead of reserving online because they had another reservation at 1:30. She stated they are not U-Haul, just “have a few trucks to rent”. She demanded to know if I would be back by then, and I told her I expected to be (I ended up dropping off about 11:30 a.m.) She said if I couldn’t guarantee that I would be back by then she wasn’t going to rent to me. So I was forced to give detailed plans of what I was doing and planned to return. That seemed to satisfy her, when she demanded to see my license. I asked if she was going to rent it to me, and she said, “I wouldn’t ask for your license if I wasn’t going to rent it, would I??” I ended up getting my rental, no thanks to her awful attitude. I had also already submitted my license photo when reserving online. I don’t appreciate being treated like I’ve done something wrong simply for having the audacity to follow your rental process at her location. She doesn’t seem to value customers, your reservation process, or representing the U-Haul brand. I’ll be recommending that others avoid this location, as I certainly will.
David HThe transmission on this truck needs service. When going down a significant grade it shifts to low gear as expected, but in low gear it is very loud and takes a while to shift back to drive.
