Jacqueline RiveraThe transmission in the truck needs servicing it would barely shift from first to second gear and I did not appreciate when they told me everything was okay and I could leave and then they build me $30 for extra gas when I had put it exactly where it was when I rented it I had just filled it to that point right across the street in the gas station there then they charged me $14 for a safe moving fee that they never told me about unless these two charges are removed I will be canceling payment on my credit card and I will be reporting it to the home office I thought Millie was treating me right and doing me fair and then they burn me I even reminded her about the gas when I was there to drop the truck off cuz the other guy was checking it in and she told me she would take care of it and call the district manager to adjust it and she never discussed the $14 moving charge that's piss for business

DEBRA MCNALLThe lady yelled at us. I was late for the reservation but it was supposed to be an automated service. She stated that we were supposed to be there at 3:30 and the reservation had been canceled. She yelled and said U-Haul cancels after an hour. I’ve picked up early, I’ve picked up late, I’ve had reservations be delayed by the store but never have I been scolded. If there is concern from the U-Haul location I normally get a call. I’ve never been yelled at for sauntering in, I was looking for a box outside to pick up my keys, I did not know the storage facility was going to close. The young lady restored our reservation but only after I apologized and stated I thought the reservation would still be active. Never have I ever been talked to by anyone from U-Haul that way. My girlfriend was ready to cuss her out. I don’t know if we made her late for something or it was perceived that I was being flippant. It was not a good experience and I own my mistake. When I returned the truck it was hard to find the drop box. Someone ripped off the sign that marked it as a key box. The lady who helped us came around and was helpful but not till after we were berated.

Derrick DickeyThe service manager was very rude and unprofessional I had an appointment to pick up the van at 1:45pm on Sunday 26. My arrival at the location was at 1:50pm. As soon as I walked in she started scolding me for showing up too late. She told me that I was supposed to be there at 1:30 pm to pick up the van. I did apologize for being late 5 min. But I told her that the reservation I had made online days earlier , allowed me to schedule my arrival at 1:45pm that day. Beside everything was done online the day I made the reservation including the form of payment. All she did was to print out my contract for me to sign it. Before 2:00pm I was out of the office. She need to work a lot in customer service skills. Otherwise she would have to change career if she doesn’t like to deal with customers. I will never go again to that location for any type of service. Thanks

Paulo MotaBasically the truck was okay but someone had smoked in it and left cigarette butts in ash tray. The back of the truck was not swept out. The truck was uncomfortable as it was rough riding. Bouncing down the road. The check engine light was on and it’s sucked gas. There also was no governer on it so someone could have really driven it hard. No cruise control either.

Francisco MoralesLocation did not have equipment that the U-Haul website let me order. While not the fault of the location, this did make moving a 150 pound furniture piece extremely difficult. Also, I checked in online and waived the protection plan. Once arriving I had to do all the check in process over again, including giving my ID. Once I received my bill I saw there was a $10 protection charge. Not worth my time to fight it, but if I said no to the protection plan I don't want it, I should not have been charged without being told.

Eugene SansevereThe employee by the name of Millicent Lilly is unfit to run a desk with serving the public. When I showed up without a reservation she immediately told me she didn't know if she could give me the van. (Why engage a conversation with a customer telling him/her what you CAN'T do rather than what you CAN do?. When I sat down she asked me to turn off the phone.,I complied out of respect but then I thought she could have asked politely rather than asking the way she did. I work in public safety, the call I have going may be rather important, so she demonstrated complete lack of respect for my necessities and needs). Then she had to call over someone else at her desk because she couldn't figure how to make the software work...which is rather odd because we weren't changing a reservation or doing something extraordinary...it was a normal rental request. Finally when I get the keys to the truck I realized my own car wouldn't start. Because the facility has only two parking spots (and the regular parking was taken by Millicent's car) I momentarily parked in the handicap spot. I respectfully told Millicent that my car wouldn't start and she, being truly unprofessional, kept telling me that I had to move the car. When the car didn't start I asked her to give me 30 minutes to get help and move the car. She again, without showing ANY empathy or understanding of ANY kind repeated that I had to move my car. Totally unprofessional, she acted as if she was a traffic or parking officer rather than someone representing U-Haul and being compassionate and understanding. While I understand that is wrong to park in the handicap spot I also believe that if the car is broken I can't move it, it's not that I am unwilling to. I don't think that giving me 30 minutes would have made much difference to her but it definitely would have made it to me since I had already a long and stressful day ahead to move my thing. Finally I was able to start my car. I advised Millicent I had moved it and took off. She called me and left me a message the next day to tell me that they saw I returned the truck but that they didn't know where the keys where. I still had the keys because that facility doesn't have a clear spot to indicate where to return them, nor she educated me on where to drop off the keys. There's a metallic mailbox attached to a gate but I didn't know whether that was the right spot to drop off the keys so I preferred to return back to the office during business hours than leave the keys in a less than secure spot. Not one word in the voicemail of thankfulness, gratitude or even common courteousness for returning the truck ahead of time or even as someone representing a company would have. When I approached the door and knocked to return the keys she was very short and unfriendly. Any candidate for that position would do better, there are other rental companies, I think that individual is really tarnishing your image by being so unprofessional in every single way she possibly can be. She really projects an attitude of being uncooperative and unhelpful. I can't imagine what other customers are going through. In the meantime if I need a rental I will go elsewhere. James GibsonWhen I rent vehicles I go online to register the vehicle/plate for use with my transponder for tolls. When tried to register a rental vehicle in my account on the Florida Sunpass website, it came back and said the plate number was already registered. I got nowhere with customer service trying to get them to take their tag number out of SunPass. In the future I will not accept a vehicle from U-Haul if the plate is already registered online in Sunpass.
