I would NOT recommend this company due to the post drop off requirements. I was so tired after dropping the truck off. The post procedure was ridiculous. Way, way over the top. Snapping pictures and all. I suggest you do what all businesses do and request to drop the truck off and slide the keys in the box. End 9f story! Staff were extremely helpful on location, even though the business was not yet open. However, the problem arose because customer service did not ask by phone when I rented the truck whether I wanted to pick it up during regular business hours (when someone there could assist). The truck was filthy, with congealed soda staining the seats and cup holder. The truck smelled bad and the steering wheel was sticky.Maxwell S.

I was double charged for my uhaul. Luckily I used a credit card so that it didn't impact my personal financials but I believe this type of negligence causes people serious financial harm. Furthermore, upon reviewing both receipts it appears the initial charge (the correct charge) was signed by me but the second charge ( the mischarge) had been processed without any signature. Luckily, I am able to dispute the charges with my financial institution. As I had stated previously, those individuals who don't have credit cards should not use your service.Brian L.
It is impossible to get a hold of this location. I supposedly had two uboxes stored there for a couple of months and when I started the process of requesting that they be delivered, I ALWAYS was forwarded to the central call center. I eventually found out that one of my uboxes was never even delivered there, which was the fault of the originating location, but now they are refusing to pick up my ubox that I did get delivered, despite confirming pick up 3 times via phone. I've tried calling several times today to discuss pick up and the missing ubox and they don't answer the phone and central call center cannot help me. So currently I'm stuck with an empty ubox and missing half of my stuff. I truly don't know what to do - this whole process with uhaul has been a nightmare.Alyssa F.

Your uhaul app to report any damage did not work and I only had 1/4 of a tank of gas and not 3/4 as you had stated. I had to fill up on gas before I could even get going. Glad I saw that before getting on the interstate, just wish I saw that before leaving uhaul.lawrence L.

It is a small operation and when I went to return the truck, no one was there and I had to wait 45 minutes to return the truck. The person was out doing the banking and there was no one else there to serve the customer.Gary S.

BJ helped us when picking up the truck he was very kind and helpful. They did not have the furniture dolly that we had reserved, so he made arrangements for us to go to the Beechmont location to pick one up. We decided to not do that due to lack of time. He said he put a note in the system for $10 off due to the inconvenience. BJ did not walk through or around the truck with us, and we were unaware that this was a requirement on the companies end prior to renting the truck out. Wanda received the truck, and accused us of stealing the furniture dolly and making a huge mess of the truck, which we did not do. She said she was going to charge us a $15 fine for a marble being left in the truck. We do not own marbles, so that was there before we got the truck. Wanda was extremely rude and had the worst costumer service I have ever seen. I would not recommend anyone rent anything, not even a pencil from that women. I am going to advise my family and friends to never rent from this location solely because of Wanda and the poor service she provided. BJ, on the other hand, I would highly recommended.John S.

The location was great but although I reserved this as my drop off location, it does not appear in the U-Haul computer upon pickup. I had the details and had the pickup location call them to confirm I can drop there. U-Haul has issues with their processes and procedures that need correcting.Joseph P.

Every thing was great except my whole reservation was screwed up. I asked for a 5'x9' trailer with a ramp and they said they had one and didn't. Instead I got a 6'x12' enclosed trailer with no ramp. And they couldn't find my reservation in the computer because my last name was spelled wrongmichael K.

The Truck Gas mileage was very poor , 15' truck gave just around 8 miles/gallon. Had to spend 200$(73 gallons) for travelling just 540 miles. This without using any A/C,Heater not even the audio system.Gowrishankar C.

I order 10 furniture pads and they were not provided in the truck. I tried to "chat" with an agent using the app and it was taking forever for them to get back to me so I had to leave as I had movers at my house. I was unable to get this resolved and was charged $10.Cody M.

When I realized I couldn't make it in time to return the truck, I inquired a anout keeping it another day. She said it was rented already but would see if she could do anything. When picking up the trailer the person in the office did not walk us out to the trailer, inspect the trailer with us, or make sure we had the proper equipment to haul it, Once we got it to our house we had to spend 20 minutes cleaning it out as there was dirt, leaves and trash in the trailer. Upon returning it, which we did around 1:30 PM on Sunday 19AUG2018 (not at 9:10 on 20Aug2018 that is says on the receipt). The person that checked me in was kind of rude and had me just pull in the trailer, with out inspecting anything other than making sure the lights still worked (and improvement on pick up I guess) and had be park it in the gate and yelled that she would check it in and I was all set. The lady we returned the truck to (Wanda) was very rude to us. She basically accused me of lying about the return time that I had been quoted the day before. She was most unpleasant. She questioned everything and said we were not accurately fueled. We filled up until the gas pump stopped. The fact that she had computer troubles and double checked the mileage and treated us like we were doing something wrong made this place feel like a scam. Not happy. Perhaps the staff need to communicate better with each other so this does not happen. No one deserves such treatment.Joyce G.
Location was not one I requested when I placed my original request, however it was not too far away. Susan was very helpful and friendly!! Would not hesitate to use this location in the future. We ended up with a larger trailer than I requested even after I was told told by phone from uhaul representatives- 2 different ones that if I was able to pick up from different location than originally requested, I would have the size trailer I wanted. In the end, that was not the case. Bigger is not always better, I requested and was told I could have the smaller trailer I wanted and ended up with a bigger one, not so happy about that!!Traci G.
My uhaul reservation became a last minute issue/problem. Compass self storage staff and management corrected everything for me and copensated for my troubles. I will go out of my way to rent from this location and highly recommend this location to friends and family. Thank you Tera CampbellTera C.

What I am about to say probably has no bearing on Compass Self-Storage since the On -line rental agreement probably isn't completed by them. There was an unclear expectation on where the truck would be. I made the original contract to be at the Beechmont Ave. U-Haul store so the location would be open. The day before the pickup I learned it would be at the Compass Self Store. To my surprise, when I arrived at 8:40 am to pick up my truck, the office was not open and I had to do a self check-in using my smart phone. I was eventually able to finish the check-in but the process just took a lot longer than was expected.Roger H.
