Got there and the Uhaul reserved was not there or ready. Had to wait 30 minutes for it to arrive. Customer service not the best the guy was not very helpful.

That address was put on a contract, but I was texted a different location to drop off the trailer after I left the Uhaul center in Hobbs. Also, I do not like all the high tech stuff. It is confusing and frustrating. Keep it simple. Other than that, the equipment was good and the people were awesome.

Patrick GallagherThey just handed me the key. I had to manuever the truck out of a tight space, which took anout 5 minutes. I'msure they were probably laughing. Then I had to go back into their office to see if they would help me with the seat adjustment and mirrors. They basically seemed very lazy and did not offer any assistance, like they could care less. Their office smelled so badly of cigarette smoke and was filthy. The truck was dirty in the cab but ran well.

Jaime LaraOverall my experience was pleasant, the vehicle got me where I needed to go without any major issues. When I arrived at the location the attendant did not do a walk through with the vehicle with me to verify that it was working and if it was clean. Upon entering the vehicle I notice there was dirt and leaves inside the drivers cab. When I opened the cargo there where a few plastic pieces of unknown origin as well. During the drive I also got a error warning to check the tire sensors as well.

ROBERT SMITHWhen I book the reservation, I explicitly selected “no CDW (car damage waiver)” because my credit card provides CDW for free. However, when I got the keys for the truck, the owner at this location secretly added CDW to the reservation without telling me and charged me extra $10 when I returned the truck. I confronted with him and he brought up excuses such as the truck is a 2023 model so CDW is mandatory, etc. I didn’t want to waste my time arguing with him so I paid the extra $10 but I am very unhappy about this.
Qi YeTruck cab was dirty, could barely see out the door window. Also I don’t like the “partly full “ gas tank policy: I actually overfilled because I guessed higher on how much gas to put in. Last time I was “low” by their estimate and I was charged $14. Seems this is a policy that’s not uniform in UHaul….

JASON DAVISIt was very disturbing and alarming that the first location did not have a 15' truck. When they reassigned my location it was all the way in Escondido. I was only moving within Vista. I was given another location in Vista, the sign on the door said open from 8-12 BUT there was a sign on that that said closed for the day. I had elected to do the mobile pick up but that did not work. Luckily the CS person at the main 800 # was very helpful and sent us to COX where the man there was very helpful and we were finally able to get a truck!!!

Christine HwangPlace is overall grimy - Not professional, Employee seemed bothered to have to help me. Rented from 8am to 8pm. was charged 3 days. Called them to inquire about the bill and was told - not my problem, you have to call U-Haul. Now that I'm reading the reviews, it appears this happens frequently, where the customer is charged "incorrectly" Fortunately, when I made the call, U-Haul has refunded the extra 2 days I was charged. but what a hassle just to rent a trailer. I would suggest you find the next closest location.

Craig MayvilleThe Uhaul representative was not helpful at all. In fact he was rude and unprofessional. He checked in the vehicle before I could have the drop off location changed with the 800 number so I was charged. Also, he was upset with me because there was no room to park the truck at his location. He grabbed the keys and I safely sped off almost causing an accident. Lastly, he said the truck had less fuel in in than when I rented it which was not accurate. I returned it with just under a half tank. I was charged for 17 gallons of gas and I don’t think it holds 17 Gallons full. I’d appreciate a call back from a manager to get these discrepancies resolved. I recently rented 5 u boxes and had them shipped cross country and pull one of your 6x12 trailers. I do isn’t mind paying you over $10k for that move and but I don’t want to be overcharged for this one because of an unprovoked uhaul rep. Thanks Sal. (209) 985-6435

SASHA FRASCHETTII had a terrible experience with this location. I was not able to pickup the stuff from the intended location. The UHaul pick up location was a Auto shop and the front office was a dingy place typical of a not well maintained auto shop. I got there around 3PM and parked my car in a parking space inside the facility. After doing the transaction with the manager was told to remove my car and go park outside on the street. The place was a busy street with lots of businesses around and I just could not find a parking space anywhere. After circling the place couple of times and not finding a space I had to park a mile away in a VONS parking lot. I had to walk all the way back to get the truck. The whole ordeal took more than 45 minutes and ate into my allotted 4 hours for the truck. After getting the truck I had to rush to the pickup location where I was supposed to collect some stuff. Because of the delay I could get there around 5PM and the contact person had already left for the day. All my efforts were for nothing and had to waste money on the whole thing, I demand a refund.

I asked for the office number and asked me why because he knew I will call to make a complaint. I stayed there because he said he didn’t has time to go out to inspect the truck so I sat down, he asked me for my phone and realized the phone didn’t let me do it and threw my phone on the counter. When he wanted to go out he did. I won’t recommend this place, all the opposite: I will tell to everyone DO NOT GO THERE. Just go in person as you are a customer and you will see.

Sterling EdensTerrible terrible terrible experience. I rented a truck for a quick job. They guy was behind the counter checking me in was rude, short dismissive. Checkin was a circus on its own and i could see he hates this job or for someone reason he dislikes me. The entire job/trip was 16 miles (as per my final receipt). Brought the truck back putting 4 gallons of gas in - making sure the gas needle is above what i got it as. When i dropped truck off the same guy did not even leave his office to inspect truck and insisted there is nothing for me to do or sign and that i should go. i then knew he was going to botch this return. On my final receipt he indicated that my gas tank had 1/8 less gas in that what was actually there - even though he could probably put two and two together that it is not possible for me to drive 16 mules and use 1/8 of a tank of gas. My final receipt showed an additional charge of $30 for gas fee and additional $21 for 3 gal of gas. So my 16 mile trip became an +$100 expense. He of course did not even reply to my email when query was sent. After dealing with home depot costumer service i was refunded the $51 because it was so obviously wrong. Luckily i kept my gas receipt. Dont rent here and if you do take photos of everything before and after rental. Insist that he check in the car with you otherwise you will probably deal with the same thing.

Laura EncisoI was forced to change to this location the day before pickup, even though I had made a reservation over a week in advance at a proper Uhaul Moving & Storage location that was closer to me. The person that "helped" me here seemed like this was his first uhaul experience and that I was inconveniencing him by not being a car repair customer. Completely unfriendly and unknowledgeable. He forced me to BACK the van into his lot from the street so it was easier for him to load my dollies and furniture pads (of which I only received 6 when I was supposed to receive 12). He refused to walk the 50 feet to the street with the items to load them, or move the truck himself, so I had to maneuver around a narrow street to make it easier on him. When he went to setup the order on the computer I had to tell him what to select and almost guide him through the process. It took over 30 minutes to get out of there and I was the only customer there.
