The truck was filthy, inside and out. The inside smelt like a wet dirty dog. The windshield was so bug specked, it was hard to see out and the person handling the transaction was not the friendliest. We would not recommend or use this location again.William B.

The young man that helped me out on my arrival was very professional and very helpful. He also helped me on the phone on the course of my rental. The people on the return of the rental was an entirely different story. They were very rude and had a very bad attitude! They were not helpful at all and were barking orders instead of calmly stating what they would like and helping at all. A very bad experience .Randy W.

The process to actually get the UHaul through the mobile app took forever! We understand confirming drivers but it seemed unnecessarily long, and took us over a half hour. Maybe I just wasn't expecting that, first time renting using the app. There should be a way to do some of that info input and verification before hand to save on time. Otherwise, the truck was great.Anna J.

The location was great and the pickup was ready right on the time. The person servicing the location was very friendly and had our keys ready right on time. I would recommend spraying some cleaner in that vehicle or something because it has a bad odor too it but nothing majorly bad. :)Justin M.

So, we're they helpfulâ€¦yes and no. I got to the location to drop the vehicle off. My earlier comment for the pick up location where I did not have the correct amount of fuel in the truck came to bite me in the butt. I had snapped a picture and I put a really appropriate amount of fuel in it and it was just below a half a tank. I gave the guy my phone to look at the picture. It was literally just a sliver under a half a tank. Which is more than it had in it when I pick the vehicle up and I had a picture that was time stamped, and compared to the invoice I originally received which had a time on it as well. He told me that I had to go back to the gas station and put two more gallons of gas in it. Now this was during rush hour in this gentleman's businesses on an extremely busy. , and compared to the invoice I originally received which had a time on it as well. He was extremely rude. I had been to this location before as it is a auto repair business and he was rude to me then also. He should not be in business when dealing with a public and he should not have a U-Haul business. Now his wife and his son who both work at this business. They were extremely friendly and helpful And I can't say enough good things about those two they redeemed this transaction. So I left there with a bitter taste in my mouth with who I am assuming was the owner of that business. But the wife and son were very very nice and redeem themselves.Trevor R.

I was told a certain price when I rented the U-Haul and I made sure that the gas was at the level when I took it but they still proceeded to charge me more money after I returned it then agreed upon so I will no longer purchase U-Haul from that company ever againjason S.

During my rental we were experiencing a big snow storm. Upon returning it the lot had not yet been plowed. I tried to pull into lot and got stuck in snow. I finally was able to back out and pulled up parallel to office in street. Receptionist ssid she wiuld not check it as returned unless I put it in the lot. Very rude with an attitude. I explained I ciuld not do that as I was unable to pull in due to snow snd lot not yet plowed. She would not listen or mark my rental as returned. A man in the office said he would help get truck into lot and at that same time the snow plow arrived to clear the lot. I was treated very rudely by this lady working the main counter.kevin S.
The check engine light came on the minute we got in the truck. It was hours before anyone came to check it. They said the engine was misfiring, but we could go ahead and drive it. Felt unsafe to drive a truck that clearly needed maintenance across the state but we had no choice.Dirk W.

The manager refused to unhook the trailer because I couldn't reverse into a spot with 6 inches of clearance on each side. I pleaded woth him to unhook it because i had to pick my kids up from school. I unhooked all the chains and lights and screw the ball release. He stood and watched me try to kill my back and tried unsuccessfully to lift the trailer off the hitch. I wasn't instructed on how to do the self check in. I didn't wrong and was charged for 2 extra days even though the truck was safely parked in their lot. We cleaned the truck, over filled it with gas and returned it on time all to be punished because I mad a mistake with the self return. I am very, very disappointed.MARCELLINO E.

The parking of the trucks was horrible. They were parked so close together and the parking lot was full of other cars as well. If I had been by myself without really having much experience driving a vehicle that size I never would have gotten it out of the parking lot. My husband is used to driving trucks that size and even he had a difficult time getting it out of the parking lot without hitting another vehicle. Perhaps when it comes to the larger trucks they could be parked on the end or easy access to the exit.Angela B.

I'm concerned that I wasn't credited for the guaranteed reservation I had been promised. I ordered originally a 9 foot cargo van and had gotten bumped to a 10 foot van for the same price. Thing is. Only needed the 9 foot and the 9 foot was plenty big enough. So we had the 9 foot van rates on a 10 foot box truck driving 60 miles. Wasn't happy about the gas mileage and couldn't find evidence of the $50 reservation guarantee anywhere.Tommy B.

We have had to use this location 3 times in the last 3 weeks for a move we are making. Every experience with the staff here has been rude and unprofessional. When asking questions I have been answered with â€œI'd like to get out on timeâ€ or â€œI know, we both want to leave hereâ€. This has been three different staff members, not just one. The last rental I tried to avoid this location to rent from but was unable to get the size vehicle I needed from any where else. I watched the staff be rude with three other customers while I was waiting.Myndy S.

I reservered truck 10 days in advance.2 days after I reserved I was contacted to see if I could pick up truck in clare or Harrison if the didn't have one in farwell, I agreed to that, 2 days before my pickup date a U-Haul representative called to tell me closest pickup I could get was in reed city , which wad 50 miles eVh way to my house, then she said I could also pick up in midland , this was a few miles closer to me, but I had 90 extra miles to drive and had to pick up night before, very big hassle and e Penske and waste of my time driving and gas money,I had no choice since I had to move, isn't this why I made reservation 10 days in advance, reservation did no good, , every other time I've had good luck, this was disappointing and expensive, why did I suffer and pay more and have to drive and buy a lot of extra gas because U-Haul did not get a truck to my location that I had reserved, please contact me and explainDoug B.

I rented a 6' x 12' trailer open style how ever the tailgate opening was only 57" and not 72" as advertised So I realized this upon leaving the location and notified the office they told me there was nothing they could do and I was stuck with a rental I could not use.. Location employees (owners?) were very rude. My rental felt like an incredible inconvenience to them. They had difficulty with the system, and were bickering back and forth. She then informed me I was an hour late. Reservation was made for 11am and I was early. She informed me they closed at 10am, which was not reflected on the website.
